Great times guys!

I did try your 787B set up mr persistance but they didn't seem to suit my driving style and i could not seem to get consistent laps (but did manage some low 56.xxx's). I fiddled with my set up a bit and finally broke into the 55.xxx's (but only just  )

Dude, I am all at sea chasing this time - can you share your wisdom and maybe explain what you're trying to acheive at each corner - a gap of over a second's bad for the old ego!! :embarrassed:

i find this whole course so easy to power round , with the exception of two parts , the left hand sweep after the 1st tunnel and the braking line for the last tunnel , so i keep tweeking my settings slightly and retrying until i get the right response on these sections then i put in severe flying laps until i get a better time then i save that ghost and time and go back to my settings etc, until hopefully ! eventually! i will have the perfect set up followed by the perfect lap  i'm also looking at the possibility of a high 54 being the best time possible

I to have been tweaking the original car settings given by Mr P. trying to squeeze a few more tenths out of the 787B. Have been getting very very close to a 54 but not quite yet.

My best 3 laps so far.

55.05x
55.09x
55.10x

I've been very concious to keep 2 wheels on the track at all times so I know my times are legal

We'll done Mr P. on your fine 59.557 using the S-Class Arcade garage 787B. I'll give that another shot laters

yeah thanx man , i am happy to wait and see how you do on the arcade one later ! ;)
but them times your pulling on the modded version are so bloomin fast ! wooooh ! you are awesome man , i'll have to pull my socks up now and try not to be left in the dust   great driving man :D

Man I still cannot get in the 56's  I'm just gonna have to stop playing MGS2 and start focusing on GT3 again.

hey guys ....i've been participating as well and have improved slightly from a 55:880 to a 55:787 (look at the 3 decimals....i thought that was kind of neat) however my settings are way different from mr. persistance's ....with my current settings i figure the most that can be squeezed out is a 55:1XX maybe......i don't know but you guys are really fast!

i wouldn't mind trying mr. persistance's setup b/c he spent alot of time trying to get it perfect and it seems to be working for everybody else...it was really late when i did my setup and i probably did a half-ass job....i figure i can also get into the 54:XXX's but i'm too busy today so i'll try tomorrow .....but by that time the final list might already be posted

lol bloomin yanks who moderate language here and at kenji's have dirty minds.

.... html is all to c o c k
i guess i'd be the "another" ....i could post my settings but i'm not at home right now...i'll try to post them at this time tomorrow or a little earlier :)

I managed to get a 1'00.039 on S-Class 787B in Free Run in Arcade. I'll try again tomorrow to beat 1 minute.
Previously I couldn't beat 1'00.8xx, but switching off ASM made all the difference...

I am really struggling to break into the 55 second club in the modded version :embarrassed: I'm still in the mid 56s. I may try playing around with settings.

This challenge is great thumb-crunching fun! Hard, but fun.

Hello to the new racers here :)

Everyone seems to be squeezing extra time out of the Mazdas and having some fun along the way, good to see!

Don't forget that GT2 can be used as well, there are some pretty good GT2 times there (in particularly from Fogelhund).

Anyways, got to go.

cheers

If you guys are interested, a mate has just started a website which has a GT3 settings database on it. I've posted my 787B set up there and intend to post some more of my rotary set ups there as well.

You guys have some pretty nice ideas with your set ups and i'm sure that they would be very well recieved over there.

Check it out it you are interested. ;)

:D i have improved my time at last! it's still nowhere near the front runners but quite a good improvement on my original time

787B full mods,mr persistance's settings (except for minor gear changes) new time of 56.463 :P

All right! A rotory race.
Here's my results:
RX-7 Type RS(Gold Matallic prize car) 709 HP
Time: 1'08.206
All HP mods
STOCK SUSPENSION
STOCK TRANS
Sport brakes
Brake controller set to 1 on front & rear
3 clutch, race flywheel
Super soft tires
Light weight stage 3
TCS: 0
ASM: 0

RX-7 Infini III 465HP
Time: 1'14.892
All HP mods
STOCK SUSPENSION
STOCK TRANS
Sport brakes
brake controller set to 1 on front & rear
3 clutch, race flywheel, Limited slip full adjustable set to 60 on all
super soft tires
lightweight stage 3
TCS: 0
ASM: 0

Whew, that was fun.
For those who want to know, I don't really like the sound of the Race trans, and I don't know why I didn't use the race suspension.

Yay, I made it on the list! :D

you shouldn't be concerned about the sound of the racing transmission....when you do horsepower modifications it is wise to adjust the gearing to get the most out of your car.......and racing suspension is always a good thing to get in GT3 ;)

Spent a good hour racing around in the Arcade *stock s-class garage 787B last night and just couldn't string a decent lap together. Managed to run a few 59.9xx but that was it. I think using the fully modded 787B has damaged my chances with the stock one. Those cars really handle differently and a completely different approach is required for a quick lap. I'll give it one more shot tonight at beating Mr P's 59.5xx but I don't like my chances. I think a 54.xxx would be much easier in the modded one

I buy the trans if I need to, but I really didn't. I did top out in the RS, but the top speed is 180, so I really didn't worry. I didn't top out in the FC. Guys, I never realized how much fun it could be to race agaist other people's times, so I think I will start a Miata race when I get home from school, so get your MX-5s ready.

yo guys , i done it i got a 54 .883

no i didn't just trying to wake you's guys up but it wont be long and i'll get a 54 for real :D :D ;) lol

mr persistance, you almost had me going.

Mazkid - nice to meet another mazda rotary nut ;)

lotus350 - great improvement mate, keep pounding the track

Over at the GTF we have a new 55.xxx club member, Bobsmo managed a 55.934.

cheers guys

i pulled a 1:29.xxx with a '90 RX-7 Infini III, i love this car and all the used cars in GT2, i would still like to be playing GT3 on my PS2 if it werent messed up though :)
