Below is all I can find from reading the rules. Looks like that line won't work during the National finals, but it says nothing on the matter for rounds 1-3..

Doesn't really matter to me, I just don't like it. People don't race like that in real life, so they shouldn't be allowed to do it in the contest. It makes the people who stay on the track look like they have no skill, which IMO is the total opposite.

Agree with you 100%

I just got home today, loaded up the replay for a few of the top leaders on cape ring to see that their going off the track to get these times.

I've fired off emails to the PR department of Sony and Nissan Motorsports to see what their reaction is to this.

Yeah, keep us informed. I mean if there's an uneven amount of people in each region doing this...defeats the purpose of finding a "clean" driver. I know there's a penalty system in place, but it may not be as stringent and presents itself as "unfair" to a considerable number of people here :grumpy:

I'll check out some of the replays when I get home. It wasn't too bad last night and this is the first round. I'm sure 2nd round will be much more intolerable (i.e. will not pass 2nd round because each replay will get more scrutinized).

You know gamers in this game develop a habit that works effectively to save alot of time during their flying laps. like "not braking fully" or instant or not applyting full pressure at all on slow corners which is not unneccessary in real life. infact they just brake after 100m onboard then brake again.! crap! i hate this habit thingy happening on game

I agree with you 100%. The only problem is that it they're going to allow it, I'm not going to let pride get in my way of making it to subsequent rounds just because It's something I'm against. If everybody is doing it and PD or Nissan doesn't say anything about it, then that's the way it is and I'm going to follow suit and do my best to keep progressing in this competition.

Yep, that's just the messed up world we live in. I may follow you through it, but it's not cool that someone who can manipulate the game to work for them will get to higher rounds over someone who does everything right. Even though the guy doing everything right, could probably have more skill in a real car than the other dude.
