I completely forgot about the GTA andmissed the deadline to sign up so maybe I missed something, but why haven't they just put the same regulations in place as they do in free run? If you hit a wall or cut a corner your time does not count.

Now I regret not putting the effort to make it to round 2 since they are now taking drastic measures. Funny thing is I'm sure I would be in round 2 if I ran over the grass but I decided to stay clean 0.6" away from top 128 cut off. Oh well, enjoy the superbowl everyone. Go steelers!

They should clarify new rules for round 3 no corner cutting, four tires off is nullified and no wall bouncing. This or make sure the tracks have no holes or glitches.

I'm pretty bummed that they once again wiped the boards clean after some put up very clean laps that would have awarded them a trip to the 3rd round.

But, I just look at this as some adversity, am I going to let this get in my way and crush my hopes? Am I going to stop chasing the dream because of some idiots? No and No. There will be setbacks in everything in life, and this is just another one. It's called life. Pull yourself off the mat and get back to fighting.

Now I can go back to the gym for a good 2 hour workout because I couldn't go most of the week because of the constant restarting.

Does anyone at Sony/PD/SCEA get fired over this kind of incompetence, or does the standard middle-manager excuse of 'these were unforseen circumstances out of our control' apply here? They have run two of these competitions GLOBALLY, did anyone at SCEA think it might be helpful to ask how that was done?

I just created this account, been reading the forums since the start of round 2, wanted to say thanks to everyone for keeping an eye on the cheaters, I probably would never have known. I think it sucks they didn't just use Rome times to determine the people to advance, even though I was currently at 17th in the Midwest.

I'm really hoping for Round 3 we get a car that will turn, I hate fighting understeer.

Like I said before, when GT academy landed on jalopnik and Autoblog for the wrong reasons **** hit the fan internally at SCEA and Nissan. Those are 2 most popular automotive trade blogs out there.

They could even just DQ ONE person from this round, and it would set a good example. I vote Dr. Ill - since he was one of the earliest cheaters in all 3 iterations of round 2. The worst part is, he probably didn't need to cheat.

I would also like to send out a nice GFY to ALL the cheaters, since NONE of them were above me in the overall rankings, even though a couple guys (tunerusa, Dr. Ill) beat me at Madrid by trashing their priceless r34's.



Thanks for ruining it for everyone since you don't know how to handle a hairpin turn correctly - I (and all the other drivers who are worth anything) look forward to smoking you in round 3.

I hope we get 2 real courses where cheating can't benefit anyone. This $hit has only created an even bigger fire in me to get better. No one is going to take this away from me because some people have no honor, no respect, no integrity or ethics. I'm going to come out swinging in round 3.

Glad i focused on work and school all week, I was swamped anyway.

I'll never get what time i did waste back though, I could've gone out with my girl instead last night, nope sorry baby, gotta do dorky stuff that ultimately won't matter.

Really sux for you guys who put in several hours a day and even took off work to post a good time just to have all 5 lap times erased! An emotional roller coaster i'm sure.

On another note: I'm really looking forward to meeting Blindside and Choate. Yall seem like awesomely good fellas

Well this wasn't what I was expecting when I woke up this morning. And yes I just did get up 'cause i was up to 3 am this morning trying to get just .2 freaking tenths at Rome. And I finally matched my time cleanly at Madrid without hitting the wall this time so I'm stoked at that. To bad it was still good enough for only 12 after everyone started bumping there way to the top. On one hand I am so bummed, 15 hours yesterday, 5 or so on average everyday this week after a full days work. Staying up to 2/3 am on work nights. Taking time off work. Damn, well at least my driving has improved (I'm trying to look at it half full).

And on the other hand I am so relieved they cancelled round 2. I think they will make needed improvements to the game that will allow the top 8 to show there clean driving tallent, ok well at least I hope the improvements will be made.

Now I can go spend needed time with my wife and daughter, watch the super bowl and get drunk. 👍 Great job to you top guys that ran clean laps, you know who you are. If anyone wants to get into some fun clean racing this week add me as a friend please so I can join your lounge.
