Ok to be honest with you I spent ages taking photos for this set and I'm not sure I really like them; it feels like a step back from my last set. Having said that I think the GT-R Black Mask is a really tricky car to shoot.

I also thought you might like to hear a little story about Toshio Suzuki; Nissan's test driver for the GT-R program and the guy who set the 7min 24s laptime with the 2009 GT-R. I'm currently working as an engineer at Nissan and one of my colleagues use to do some vehicle development at the Nurburgring... so here's the scene.

Toshio was testing a development mule for the next Primera and he's approaching Adenauer Forest at around 100 mph and... the rear wheel falls off!

At One Hundred Miles an Hour!

So what does Toshio do?

He pulls on the handbrake, gets the car completely sideways applies full opposite lock and stops the back of the car digging into the road which would probably have caused the vehicle to roll. He keeps the car sideways until it comes to a rest. Obvious really ;)

I suspect drivers don't get much better than Suzuki-san! Here's rest of the set:

I'm actually quite jealous that you work at Nissan, but fair-play to Suzuki-san. Only someone of his calibre would do such a thing. :dopey:

Nice set as well. although I believe this is not your usual standard. :(

i really enjoyed the story. Test drivers are just incredible i admire them a lot and what you told us not only shows some serious skills but its pretty amazing to see what he did to avoid a crash, unfortunetly not everyone had the same luck as he did in nurburgring, like Hiromu Naruse, RIP..

Anyways.. nice pictures, look quite realistic ive never tried to take pictures of that car but i guess it can really be hard to take good pictures of it because of its camouflage.

The GT-R Black Mask...Godzilla in a Black Mask? hahah. the car itself already is ridiculously awesome car.
It looks realistic! Impressive work!

Glad you like the story about Suzuki-san, I'll have to see if I can find out some more!

Anyway just a quick post with some recent photos, and more than anything to get some requests from you lot :P (see my last post).

Don't take the last two of the GT86 too seriously as I was just trying out some tools and techniques I've not used before.

Oh and requests please ;)

:cheers::cheers::cheers:

Just a quick bump with a preview of my next set; no photos taken yet but it will involve the BNR34 :D

Meant to post this in my gallery in my last post, but forgot:

Also, I've been struggling for ideas lately so I'm going to start taking requests again as I really enjoyed doing them before. I'll take the first three requests that I recieve, so if you'd like me to do a set for you post what car(s) and location you'd like đź‘Ť

Ok here we go, I had today free so got this set done much quicker than usual; I've started playing around with light leaks. I definitely don't think it suits every photo, and just for a bit of balance there's one realistic photo too :D

Mine's BNR34

Bloody amazing work here mate. The toning and over-exposure work a treat here. đź‘Ť

WOOOOOW!
Could be a poster on my wall. Well, well done Mate! Absolutly marvolous work lately, even with the BM GT-R and the Random Posts there.

I like the 1st one, the tiny bit of blur at the background looks good to me

BTW, you looking for ideas? Let me think...
OK, there you go :):
Car: Mazda Roadster RS (Premium)
Location: Laguna Seca
;)

Brilliant comments! Much appreciated! :D đź‘Ť And looks like I've got some requests too. :)

Having said that, BKS this is gonna be a tough one, but should be a nice challenge. I'll do the full set at Grand Valley, but just for the preview I wanted to use SS5. Why? Well I was having a look through some teaser images for the next Bond film, and one of the photos really stood out for me:

I didn't really appreciate it at first, but actually it really sets a scene that fits perfectly for a Bond film. I took this as the basis for the preview photo, although its quite tough to adapt it to cars! :P

Once I've finished BKS' request, I'll start on yours GT HP Nut.

And just one more photo; my entry for this week's 2.0 Comp:

Cheers!

Thanks again guys, the comments are really appreciated! Just a quick post this time; BKS' request which I found really challenging - two cars and a circuit which suffer from some poor rendering in places, I hope I've done it justice. Having said that some of the lighting is really strong so that's what I've tried to emphasise.

And, two rally shots that I didn't really put too much thought into but turned into two photos which I really like.

And! I'm still looking for one more request! ;)

Overedited into amazingness. Fantastic work, stunning, all of them. My favorites are the two rally shots.

Oh sheeeeet. That's sexy Panico. . You really get a summer VIP feel from them. đź‘Ť

Love the 'vibe' in those shots. đź‘Ť
I can see why you like the two rally photos - they are both quality pictures. :)
