Russian Invasion of Ukraine

Europe and the USA are fishing for reasons to put the Iran deal on ice anyway, so the last point is kind of moot.
Russia is mad that the UN said they would be investigating the drones in Ukraine since they are still referring to Ukraine as a country (not true reason but also possibly true reason).

No, I don't think so. You think materiel is being delivered at exactly the right rate for Putin to destroy it so that [someone] can make lots of money by being paid by [someone else]? As opposed to NATO and allies trying to balance how to support Ukraine but retain sufficient military power and supplies that if Ukraine falls they're able to defend themselves?

Righto. Have you tried hydroxychloroquine? I hear it reduces the hallucinations.

I mean, early days of the war it looked like sending anything that would take more than a few days would be a waste of time because it'd be over by then. Now it's unclear whether Russia can actually hold any Ukrainian territory long term, but the war could easily stretch to multiple years at this rate. You think it's unusual for supply strategy to change given the rapidly evolving situation?
Yea very unclear that Russia can even hold any Ukrainian territory, Russia has "only" taken significant parts of Ukraine and now been taking down vital infrastructure with long range attacks. And you're telling me NATO didn't send more and sooner because they might essentially run out of equipment to defend themselves? lmao thanks for the laugh man! this is not at all an unexpected situation, they could've supplied Ukraine YEARS in advance If they wished.

And no I have not taken hydroxychloroquine, but if it reduces hallucinations maybe you should consider it buddy. It's sad how all the facts I posted about Ukraine are sometimes counter "argued" with ad hominem. You know MSM is doing a great job when its viewers are unable to think when presented with conflicting evidence.

I don't favor Russia contrary to your black and white world view, I simply don't like the idea of my tax money being sent to the pockets of the war industry giants and its investors to aid a country that I struggle to find a lot of differences from Russia. But tbh I find their nationalism a lot more palpable than Russian, either way I still wouldn't want my money to be sent to Russia if they were hypothetically speaking being invaded by China. I only support truly democratic nations, sorry If you find that disturbing!
I'm all for humanitarian aid and helping Ukrainian refugees though.

Guys I've made my point clear enough, now give up on the ad hominem and empty comebacks. Apparently some of you @Tornado don't know how propaganda works, it's not that MSM lies necessarily, they just don't show the whole picture.
Anyway If Russia didn't strike some vital infrastructure then why is Ukraine suffering power cuts after the recent strikes? Reuters is reporting it, DW, etc

"KYIV, Oct 22 (Reuters) - More than a dozen Russian missiles pounded energy facilities and other infrastructure across Ukraine on Saturday, the Ukrainian air force said, with strikes causing blackouts in parts of different regions."

Playgrounds. Civilian structures. A thousand kilometers from the front line.
Extremely vital for the war.

@Dennisch Why are you creating a strawman, I post that Russia hit vital infrastructure which they in fact did and you reply with something unrelated to somehow try to dismantle what I said? The fact civilians died, that playgrounds were destroyed doesn't change the fact they also hit vital infrastructure. Also everybody knows civilians sadly are always caught in the middle in any war.

You're the one pooping out of his mouth.

What does the civilian infrastructure of West Ukraine has to do with the war in the East? Demoralizing the Ukrainian people?

Doesn't take a strategist to know that disabling vital infrastructure in the West of Ukraine is gonna affect the performance of its troops anywhere, you do know it takes electricity to do a LOT of things right?
And more ad hominem... I'm starting to feel nostalgic about kindergarten again, thanks man!

Since you still don't seem to quite get it despite me drawing attention to it repeatedly, putting "mainstream media" in your post is a dogwhistle that damn near everyone here was around for when the term first entered into provenance. You're not fooling anyone with this Twitter-level "no one is immune to propaganda wake up sheeple" schtick; and if you're going to try to gaslight people, at least be more creative about it than just repeating things Neil Cavuto would say circa 2006.

And by that I don't mean continue to repeat the same nonsense that Rage Racer was spouting back in February when he had to go from mocking people for thinking Russia was going to invade to mocking people that thought Russia was to blame for invading; though I recognize that I can't very well stop you from doing both.

Can we focus on actual information about the conflict instead of wasting time with someone who doesn't have any intent of engaging in sincere discussion on this matter?

Speaking of, the orcs fired at Sumy Oblast 143 times and the only casualty was an injury; a 68 year old woman took shrapnel when RF shelled Seredyna-Buda.

Your Antarctic tax dollars? You'd prefer that your money went to building schools on the Ross Ice Shelf? Jokes, Antarctica doesn't have a tax system. It's anarchic communism all the way down there.

I mean, I struggle to find a lot of differences between Russia, China and the US, but if they're going to war then depending on the inciting circumstances I might still have an opinion on which one was justified. Just because two people are both arseholes doesn't mean I'm gonna shrug when one storms into the room and starts kicking the **** out of the other.

Not at all. You'll be calling for exiling the US from NATO next I hope?

Yea very unclear that Russia can even hold any Ukrainian territory, Russia has "only" taken significant parts of Ukraine and now been taking down vital infrastructure with long range attacks.

Which part of that is supposed to be evidence of Russian capability to hold the territory? Taking territory and holding territory are very different concepts. The fact they Russia has been on the retreat for the past few months indicates that they can’t hold the territory very well. Their recent attacks on civilian targets show an increasing desperation and frustration.

And you're telling me NATO didn't send more and sooner because they might essentially run out of equipment to defend themselves?

Initial deliveries were limited to defensive, short-range weapons that were easy to use and didn’t require much training. There were also concerns about threats made by Kremlin. Keep in mind that at that point in time nobody actually knew what the Russian army’s capabilities actually were.

Why do you believe they would send just enough weapons so that Russia could destroy them? Who would benefit from that and where would the money come from? Why would every elected leader in NATO and the EU agree to support such a conspiracy, even those who historically have had good relations with Putin? It makes no sense what so ever.

lmao thanks for the laugh man! this is not at all an unexpected situation, they could've supplied Ukraine YEARS in advance If they wished.

If it’s all a big conspiracy to send weapons to Ukraine for the purpose of profit, then why didn’t they send weapons to Ukraine before Russia invaded? Is somebody paying them for the deliveries now that wouldn’t have paid them before the war started?

And no I have not taken hydroxychloroquine, but if it reduces hallucinations maybe you should consider it buddy. You think you’re smart for thinking MSM are lying, but most of the time it turns out you haven’t even read half the “facts” you post. The only replies you seem to respond to are the ad hominem, you just ignore any valid criticism of the things you post.

I don't favor Russia contrary to your black and white world view, I simply don't like the idea of my tax money being sent to the pockets of the war industry giants and its investors to aid a country that I struggle to find a lot of differences from Russia.

That doesn’t explain why you have felt the need to come up with a bunch of weird and far fetched conspiracy theories regarding the war.

I'm all for humanitarian aid and helping Ukrainian refugees though.

Why do you believe it’s right to send humanitarian aid but not military aid? It’s the same tax money and the same country.

I'm going to re-ask the question I have now asked around three times, and you have ignored it a similar amount of times.

What percentage of the military in Ukraine and parliament is far-right, and what level is acceptable before assistance is withheld?

I've also asked if your own country is immune to these issues, now that is an rhetorical question, as a member of staff I know exactly where you are posting from (and it's certainly not Antarctica). One with a far-right nationalist party holding 5% of parliamentary seats (obtained with a 12% following in a recent election), a country with a history within living memory (mine) of extreme right-wing and Nationalist problems that have not been eradicated both within and outside the military). In fact, it's at a similar level and poses a similar threat to that posed within Ukraine (nor does any of this come close to indicating where you live, given that it could apply to most of the western world)...

...should assistance be withheld if the situation was that your country was invaded?

Now I fully expect that you will once again not bother answering, despite the above being a 100% ad-hominem-free, factually supported rebuttal (actually that might be exactly why you ignore it), what I do however expect you to do is start engaging in good-faith discussions.

Another jet hit residential house in RF.
Yeah, they say that it was a test flight of a newly built Su-30. Both pilots suffocated during flight... j
The jet fell nose down with engines running, but on the video you can notice that the jet tried to pull the nose up for a moment and then pointed back at the ground just before crashing.
No casualties on the ground, one house destroyed.

Concerning, as that suggests a Russian attempt to prepare the narrative for a "false flag" if they launch a dirty bomb themselves.

The entire world knows that if something like that happens, that it was the Russians themselves. But seeing how ****ing stupid they truly are, and at this point desperate, they probably go ahead with something that dumb.

And still find a new and innovative way to fail.

Does Ukraine even have such a weapon for Russian to claim such blasphemy? I thought one of the larger talking points when nukes were first discussed is how Ukraine denuclearized.

Russia is the only one that has those kind of weapons. Russia would also be trying to use it against Ukraine AND claim Ukraine did it when it fails.
