Looks like Elasto mania level now. And few days ago HIMARS package was delivered to ФСБ headquarters in Melitopol.

A Russian colleague in my previous research group is leaving this week - we just had coffee and cake to say bye to him, and he flies out to Turkey on Saturday. After that, he plans to return to Russia to visit his family for the first time in a while, and although he is unlikely to be conscripted, he said (somewhat casually) that "it's possible...". I don't envy him in any way, shape or form right now. I don't know how old he is, but I'd guess late 20's, possibly 30, very highly educated and physically fit.

It's a very scary thought to think that one day he's working at a top UK university doing world-leading research with people from all over the world - indeed, our little group of 6 that met for coffee just now represented 6 different nations (Scotland, Spain, Netherlands, Switzerland, China and Russia), and the next moment he could be faced with being called up to participate in a war, or face imprisonment if he were to refuse. I wish him well and hope that he gets back out of Russia as quickly as possible.

Patriot missiles do not mess around and will definitely help protect Ukrainian cities and vital infrastructure.

They still think they're already fighting NATO, me thinks.

We need the find out part now.

So what's the best way to revitalize a demoralized military? Pay them properly, give them clear objectives, make sure their equipment is up to date?

Nah. It's trumpets. They need trumpets.

The UK said the new creative brigade - which follows a recent campaign, urging the public to donate musical instruments to troops - is in keeping with the historic use of "military music and organised entertainment" to boost morale.

Second-hand trumpets.

Without Google Translate, the Z says "For Victory" and the V says "Strength In Truth" ?

And the German one says "Germany succeeds on all fronts".

Pathetic rhetoric from Russia. The pretence of intervention and liberarion has long gone.

In his address President Putin continued: "There's nothing to accuse us of. We've always seen Ukrainians as a brotherly people and I still think so.
"What's happening now is a tragedy, but it's not our fault."

Russia has launched more than 1,000 missiles and Iranian-made attack drones in a wave of strikes on Ukraine's power infrastructure which began on 10 October.

I guess he means brotherly in the Cain and Abel sense.

At this point I'm guessing that the cancer has spread to his brain, because his comments make him sound like he's mentally challenged.

The rat needs to be dead already.

His comments always were like this. Its doublethink of average Soviet citizen, all of them should die before something changes here. Same thing should happen in Baltic States, Poland, Hungary and half of Germany. Only country that kill it in themselves is Ukraine and they did it after 8 years of war.

****ing boomers.

BTW, Rogozin was wounded in the buttock.
