RVV Motor Works - White Knight - 10/02/10

Vince likes Suzuka, I'm more of a Trial Mountain sorta guy. :P

eschey, I do agree the improvement in laptimes is quite small compared to most of my tunes. With a car as good as the 190E, it's hard to improve on that already good handling. Glad you found it easier to drive when tuned though, at least I managed something right. :)👍

I might have to try the car on Suzuka then. I enjoy that track finally once I found all the proper lines. I did enjoy the car once the mods were made but the understeer really annoyed me. Especially on Midfield on the long left after the first tunnel, watching my ghost go faster, trying to replicate its speed, and spinning off into the gravel or into a wall :/

I think ill be waiting excitedly for your review to come round just to see how our opinions differ 👍

One thing I did with Roj's 190E tune was brought the ride height up to 105mm IIRC...

Felt much nicer to me but he didn't like the apparent lack of responsiveness.

Honda Integra'95 Review
This is the best car Ive ever driven on Tsukuba Circuit ever.It corners so well for a FF and brakes extremely well. The only down side I see is the LSD for me seems to strong when Decelerating and the top speed is only 113MPH.
8/10

Erm...

The top speed is NOT 113mph.

You set the final, then autoset... THEN MOVE THE FINAL TO THE OTHER NUMBER.

If you meant that the car only reaches 113 at Tsukuba, that's somewhat more believable. But that car should do 150ish easily. It's been a while since I drove it so I don't know exactly.

Thanks for the review toast999.:)

Yeah our good friend RotaryJunkie can make these FF's go like crazy.

Is there anything you would like to see in our garage?

Ok sorry

He probably means Tsukuba only. My IT250R does around the same speed, so it makes sense. :)

Nismo GT-R Review
I think the car needs racing tires. It understeers in some corners yet I spin out in other corners.I'd suggest R3's all round.
6/10

Thanks Toast for your review. I do have to say that is one of my earlier tunes. (when I still was a noob at tuning in general) I hope you liked it, don't really think the R3 tires would help much. The suspension and brakes will need an update...

I'll have a look at it and update it when I've found time. (Which is not frequent)

guys any news or developements on the nismo ???

It's been troublesome to give it that power oversteer you asked for. 485bhp isnt enough to spin the wheels in low gears, mainly because I had the gears set quite wide to make up for the fact its a 5 speed, not a 6 like most FC gearbox'd cars. Now instead of boosting power and spoiling the handling, I shortened the gears so it's alot easier to spin the tyres and kick that butt wide when you want it. Then I found the top speed suffered too much. Again, 6th gear would've been handy, but we dont have a 6th, so instead the 5th is alot longer than I normally have it and it gives a good 180mph now before the laws of wind resistance take over. Its just in the suspension tweaking stage and it should be ready soon. 👍

thanks a LOT...i am really waiting for the car... i cant wait... i hope its as good as all of your other cars,
I know what you mean by the Gearbox problem, i faced it while doing a race at circuit de la sarthe, top speed, or acceleration is the question

just tried your civic 1.5 VTi, again it was excelent, i actually won the civic cup in the car exactly as you had done it. I cannot stress how good the combination was. Right amounts of power, the gearing was bang on right, and the suspension was very well done, the handling was unusually good for a '79 FF. very well done guys.

I hope its as good too. Whilst I can say "look its just as good as my [car]", its ultimately down to whoever drives it to decide on that. :) And yes, the 400R is one of those "one or the other" kinda cars, although my strange 5th gear should balance it a bit. 👍

Thanks for the positive comments! Nice going on winning the Civic Cup with it too. :D:tup:

VTiRog are your guys cars tuned to the wheel or controller? My DFP wheel broke so I can only use a controller which is sad.:indiff:
thanks phone

Ouch, that's gotta be a PITA. :ouch:
Roj's setups are tuned using a controller, but it shouldn't matter much either way. 👍

Yeah, I use the standard DS2 controller. :D
