Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO (PS4/XB1/PC) - Milestone

I also like the game but didn't bother with the season pass as games like this only damage the season pass model. Does the DLC even have to be downloaded or is it disc based with a license file that is needed?

Is it me, or are the AI times on Pikes Peak bugged? I play on Medium AI, which usually results in anywhere between a win 10 seconds in front, or ending last.
On Pikes Peak however, I'm already 10 seconds in front after the first checkpoint, and it's an easy 30 second lead at the end.

I notice this too it's still an easy win on hard difficulty.

I just played Pikes Peak Long with Stratos on realistic difficulty, first checkpoint I get 5 second lead but on second checkpoint I am 5 seconds behind and the AI just gets bigger lead towards the end.. last place..

At what degree is your wheel on? Just tried 540 degrees with 65 ffb (was on 585 deg.) and it is OK but not perfect as shown in the video. Also read that some people set it at 360 degrees and they are happy.

Yes you are right, I use 360 and I'm happy with that. If I go further than that, I miss the right feedback.

PS4 copy arrived last night and I have to say, this game is pretty awesome. My main issues with the demo (namely being steering dead zone and lack of force feedback) have been fixed and the whole game feels polished. Milestone are getting better and better with every game they release.

The big one for me is the stage design. The roads are narrow and faithful to the real thing, by far the best rally game to date. Pulling a quick time at Monte Carlo or Finland is very rewarding. The cars themselves feel pretty good too and the graphics are a big step above WRC5.

I was expecting this game to sit somewhere between WRC5 and Dirt Rally, but I must say it feels a lot closer to Dirt Rally than WRC (not that I've played Dirt Rally...). I will definitely be getting my money's worth between now and when it's released. Who knows, I may even hang onto it as a point of comparison.

Sorry man, I'm afraid that I can't agree.

There are plenty of games that have been transparent about what will get released as a pre-order bonus. Resellers like Game and Amazon also have offered exclusive DLC for certain games which invariably becomes available later on as DLC for the players not in that part of the world (in some cases) so I tend not to get upset by what will or won't be appearing. I support what I like and ignore the rest.

It's not about the transparency though, it's the fact that the full content is ready from before launch, yet they decide to split it up as pre-order bonuses and DLCs. The fact that they are all available for purchase later doesn't make it any better - they should all be on the disc from Day 1.

I envy people like you who can just ignore stuff you don't want, but I have a completionist mentality so it irks me to no end when developers make it unnecessarily difficult to get every piece of car/track in a game.

The whole point of a season pass is that you don't have to worry about tracking DLC, it will just come to you. Games like Forza and Driveclub have added a lot of value in their Season Passes (at least 6 months of DLC post-release, with a big price reduction over buying all of the DLC separately), so that's my benchmark.

Don't get me wrong, I like SLRE for what it does deliver, and I went into this knowing full well that Milestone are not big on post-release updates. I was just surprised by how minimal the Season Pass content appears to be, and that all of it appears to be ready at launch.

I don't mind Driveclub's style of season pass. It's one of the few new games that got DLC right IMO. It's when devs hold back content at release or simply recycle content from previous games to be sold again as DLC or season pass that annoys me. EA, Codemasters, Ubisoft's The Crew and now Milestones are all guilty of this.

Ah, I'm with you now. As far as I can recall, they have done this every time, except once when they developed a bunch of P2P city tracks in Japan at a later date and very few people seemed to buy them. What with the bad PR and worse reviews they seem to get (undeserved mostly) the game sales have probably been focused up front for precisely that reason.

Also, I know it's not an excuse but this is likely the distributor/publisher's decision, not Milestone themselves.

So if u change the rotation, does it save to the wheel memory(T300) or only to the game?
The rotation setting in game is only relevant while in game. It just limits the range of rotation which actually matters to smaller than the total rotation the wheel is capable of.

Most modern games have automatic degrees of rotation adjustment on the fly: So if you run a car with 720 degrees rotation in real life, the game will set that range to be used on your wheel. SLRE does this too, but you can override it if you feel that the "realistic" setting gives too many degrees of rotation.

Typical 1970's-80's rally cars would have had 900 degrees of rotation. 90's cars were probably 720. Modern 2000's WRC cars use 540 degrees. Those will be the rotation settings you will get if you set SLRE to "auto". Setting to "manual" and overriding the natural game approach lets you use less degrees of rotation on all cars (or more if you want).

Personally I use 540 degrees fixed in both DiRT Rally and SLRE, i.e. stock WRC steering setting. I find it good for offering enough lock to hold slides accurately without involving too much work spinning the wheel around like crazy.

Going lower makes things a bit twitchy for me. But this is also wheel specific: The T300 and T500 both have pretty good motors and can spin quickly enough that 540 degrees is no issue. A G29 or T150 might need lower settings to be comfortable.

Oddly enough Evolution have just announced their new DLC and update details for Driveclub - my time shall be limited here for a good few weeks I'm afraid.

As they have added the ability to turn off ABS etc I think its about time you got Driveclub my good sir.

Yep, they go better and better. Leaderboards are magnificent every car has a gost on every track, it is an amazing achievement for time trials and the whole game. Here on slre leaderboards are a big joke, sony can't make we pay for no service. Project cars has the same issue, no stats, no decent leaderboards, nothing of what the sony licenced driveclub has from the beginning. A petition should come from "racing game players" that pay dear money to play online. Hope people will rebel to this mess.

Haha when GT Sport is released I shall get myself a PS4 and DC ;) Right now I'm still having too much fun with my new PC and Assetto Corsa.

Anyway, I don't want to derail the thread any further. Back to SLRE peeps!

Thanks for your feedback.
I will definitely try 360 in my next session :dopey:.

Cheers!

Oh man, i wish i had set it to 360 on day 1 :D. I had a blast yesterday  Doubt that i would go back to 540 unless it is really needed.

I was going to to do a bit of trophy hunting in this game , does anyone know which races pops the trophies for 4 day schedule in any offline mode.
Win a rally with a 4-day schedule in Sweden in one of the offline modes
I've tried the quick menu full rally and the quick menu championships and the championship rally's in career mode.

I'll keep goi
I think you'll pass one in the careermode if I am not mistaken.

I will keep going then , I was hoping someone knew what races actually popped them,
Still looking for some good wheel settings as well I'm still using automatic I tried 540 and 360 but found them a little bit twitchy and don't have the knowledge as to what cars I should change the settings.
Still have a lot of fun with the game tho

The eight four day events are in Career mode, go to Career then the Open section and then Rallies around the World events. These along with the ones below give you the trophies.

Alternatively there are four day events in a few other Career areas;

Sanremo 4 day is in the Evo section of Masters events
Alsace 4 day is in the Modern 2wd section of New Era events
Alsace 4 day also in B class section of Vintage events

Your welcome :), I have a thing for getting all the trophies myself, lol. I wish they had more guides when they release games, I just found the chrome paints yesterday by accident!
Your not kidding ! I scoured the net for information and found nothing, in fact there is not a lot of information to do with SLRE at all.
I think the game is far better than people are giving it credit for, I think it's a couple of patches from being a great rally sim,
I'm dying to see how this and Dirt compare when it's released, and I'm hoping it's compatible with my T500.
Thanks for your help.
I'm using the T500 on ps4 if anyone has any good wheel suggestions please share.

By the way whoosiergirl the chrome paints are very cool
