Sébastien Loeb Rally EVO (PS4/XB1/PC) - Milestone

Your not kidding ! I scoured the net for information and found nothing, in fact there is not a lot of information to do with SLRE at all.
I think the game is far better than people are giving it credit for, I think it's a couple of patches from being a great rally sim,
I'm dying to see how this and Dirt compare when it's released, and I'm hoping it's compatible with my T500.
Thanks for your help.
I'm using the T500 on ps4 if anyone has any good wheel suggestions please share.

By the way whoosiergirl the chrome paints are very cool
Yes, DiRT Rally support on PS4 for T500 has already been confirmed:
http://ts.thrustmaster.com/eng/index.php?pg=view_files&gid=3&fid=15&pid=317&cid=12
And the T500 works great on DiRT Rally on the PC in my experience.

As for SLRE settings for T500 on PS4: I ended up with all deadzones and saturation settings on 0, 30% force, 40% vibration and 540 degrees manual steering setting.
I find that lower than 30% makes things feel vague and squishy, higher than 30% means fighting the car way too much (although it does vary a bit which car and which surface)

Thanks Looks like I can put my pre order in for dirt ,
I'll give these setting a go over the weekend, great support from GTP forum guys.

Your welcome :), I have a thing for getting all the trophies myself, lol. I wish they had more guides when they release games, I just found the chrome paints yesterday by accident!
You must have missed my chrome Mini Cooper pictures early on then ;)

So, I've been out of the SLRE loop for ages. Is it any good with a DS4, and is it worth the full price or should I wait?

You will find some people think it's brilliant and some who think it's rubbish. Seems to split opinion like no game I can remember. Personally I think it's a real good attempt at modelling rally. It's not especially pretty but has a good car selection stage design is very good and for me the handling model is really good. Can't comment on how it is with a pad as I use a wheel. Download the demo and see what you think. The full release is a significant improvement over the demo however after a big day one patch.

I use the DS4 and I like it a lot. Handling is sensitive and it takes some time getting used to. Input needs to be smooth otherwise you'll swirl on the tracks. It punishes wild corrections!

10km on snow in Sweden or the demanding stages in Mexico can be very intense and it requires you to stay focussed all the time.

There are a few framerate issues on several stages in specific conditions but as far as I know it is being worked on.

The demo is available but it doesn't do any justice to the final game handlingwise.

I tried the demo, and it left me feeling a bit cold to be honest however, I'll keep a look out for any future price drops now! 👍

From a sales standpoint, the Demo has probably cost them dearly. IMO, had they had the physics as they are now and included any of the snow stages or one of the high speed Finland stages in the demo they would many have sold more copies.

The more I play this game, the more I am enjoying it. Played it with wheel and now with ds3. Would like a patch to inprove car sound.

I agree. Have probably put 5-6 hours into the game now and it keeps getting better and better. Currently going through the Sebastien Loeb challenges, with the odd quick stage in between.

The sound definitely isn't on par with Dirt Rally, but I have to say the physics, graphics and stage design are all much closer than I expected. It's a good time to be a rally fan!

Oh man, i wish i had set it to 360 on day 1 :D. I had a blast yesterday  Doubt that i would go back to 540 unless it is really needed.

I'm doing some experiments with setting up the differential, and if you go to lock the preload (front and back if 4wd) I think is possible to try back the 407 wheel rotation or even more. The standard set ups have to much preload making the car smooth but not reactive at all. Still trying, I'll come with a set up video tutorial if I get some time.

I haven't looked, but if I find this in used market should I go for it? I do want something realistic and challenging yet something to wean me off of pcars.

That would be handy. I am still on 360 for now ;)

You're on 30% linearity and 360 degrees in your video. Why the linearity change? Is that to make it less twitchy around center?

Obviously non-linear steering changes the feel compared to a simple straightforward 400-500 degrees with 0% linearity setting (which I assume is fully linear).

I would suggest switching to automatic for your steering angle. It make the driving much more immersive and I found it helps improve my time as you have to approach the corners smoother and at a less shotgun way which in turn helps you corner smoother. Plus it makes you feel like a boss rally driver when driving. (FYI I just switched from 360 a few days ago and I don't know why I didn't do it sooner).

On another note what difficulty are people playing on as I have now shifted to realistic to get a better challenge, which is annoying cause there seems to be a massive gap between Hard and realistic difficulties?

Who is trying with set ups?

I did a little, but only to make the car handle better under braking which helped. Mostly it seems that setup changes are for just affecting how the car performs under braking which is really where things are most useful as the rest of the time the car is usually sliding.

I use FFB at 45%, Vibration at 35%, and auto rotation (definitely try this, it makes the game more realistic and I found it seems to give more accurate feed back through the wheel resulting in faster times and allowing me to run competitively against realistic difficulty).

Thanks for your suggestion.
Tried Automatic for quite some time but then decided to auto calibrate the wheel which set the wheel to 585.
Some lads suggested 540 (which i was happy with in the beginning but then it felt rubbish on some cars) and now swtiched to 360 which feels good until now...
I put my wheel settings in the video above and would appreciate if you or anyone else suggests some good wheel settings (name of the wheel + full wheel settings) which suit most cars and i will be more than happy to give it a try.

This is great news thanks for sharing

Wow huge patch to say it fixed 3 things(but I don't care I have 60 meg download). lets hope it has some undocumented changes like pace note revisions.

It showed the same size for me this morning but my connection is not fast (8 meg) and the download was done in 5 minutes. 2.5 GB is probably not the correct size.

Just downloaded..took 10 sec
I was hoping for a more massiva patch fix, but we have to wait and see.

I just caught it and it started at about 2.4GB but its strange considering the first patch was over 6GB.
