I've got the Xbone version and the PC version and the PC version is by far the better version.Doesn't surprise me at all. I would be amazed if anyone that tried the PC demo went ahead and purchased it.
<I have RBR/DiRT Rally on PC and SLRE on PS4, so answering your question>And according to Inside Sim Racing the PS4 version is far better than the PC version. But.. is it comparable to RBR?

I'm presumably as lazy as you when it comes to not bothering to rotate the shifter to sequential or real analog handbrake mode, so I'm using 4th with the TH8A on PS4 hooked via USB, alongside a T500. Works fine.Curious - is anyone playing this on PS4 with a T300 and TH8a shifter? Wondering if the 4th gear slot on the shifter is possible to map to the handbrake? With this game being released so close to Dirty Rally on consoles I do not see the need to get both for now so it depends on which game I can easily configure since I never got to modding up a proper handbrake yet.
I'm running 780Ti in SLi and get well over 100 fps constantly. If you have only played the demo there was a huge day one patch that improved all versions dramatically. So I'm not sure it's really fair to go around dissing the PC version based on the demoThe XBone version must run like garbage then, I couldn't even hold 60fps with a GTX970
He might have got 60 fps but had the micro stutter problem that inside sim racing mentioned. I have nearly got plat on PS4 just 2 more trophies, finish all the loeb experience events and the final loeb event in career. I currently have 1.1 million experience so not to far of finishingI'm running 780Ti

You can, yes (I did at launch because I have stopped wanting to own bluray boxes), but it's likely to be full price there for ages.I can download this in the ps store right?
Alright, thank you, download this while I'm at work. You can, yes (I did at launch because I have stopped wanting to own bluray boxes), but it's likely to be full price there for ages.
That's a shame. At this point might as well just wait til Dirt Rally on April 5.Hearing reports that the US release has been delayed one week. The game was on the Xbox store yesterday, but has since been pulled.
In general SLRE cars need you to initiate braking quite early and slide a lot under braking. Is it just me, or does the brakes not feel as effective on tarmac?
DryIn general SLRE cars need you to initiate braking quite early and slide a lot under braking.
In this specific case: Are you running on wet or dry tarmac?
Oddly I found that switching off both Brake Assist and ABS helped in this regard, it also seems to vary from car to car as well (as it actually should).
The download was only 4.791GB, can't be the full game. I suppose I will play this tomorrow.
Yeah, seems like for whatever reason the download showed as only about 5GB and was "installed" once the 5GB was complete. Looking at the information of the game it showed the game still downloading, but I was still able to start the game up and test drive the car and set up my driver info.I think the full game is around 35 GB.
It's quite common on digital releases to allow you access to a small part while the rest is loading. Sniper Elite 3 did it, as did Project Cars.Yeah, seems like for whatever reason the download showed as only about 5GB and was "installed" once the 5GB was complete. Either way, I didn't get to play it outside the test drive mode last night. But so far I think I will love this game. Always love rally games. Graphics are meh, but that's alright, what's important to me is how fun it is.
This I knew on the Xbox One, just never encountered it before on the PS4. At least the Xbox tells you the game is "ready to start", whereas the PS4 tells you it's "finished installing". You can see where the confusion might be.It's quite common on digital releases to allow you access to a small part while the rest is loading. Sniper Elite 3 did it, as did Project Cars.
Yep it caught me out with Project Cars as that limits you to one car and one track until the full install has completed. This I knew on the Xbox One, just never encountered it before on the PS4.
