Huh, I've noticed d2 missing in my list as well wonder if I have the same issue.

It is, somehow it got levelled up to 12 so it's higher in the list. Not sure how it happened

Doh! Perhaps it was a mistake to ask beal to use racing under the D2 account on Saturday night. I thought it was a good idea at the time because it allowed 16 drivers on the grid. However, I certainly would rather keep all the divisions listed together (at the bottom). Oh well, lesson learned for GT6 I guess. Unless of course one of the new GT6 features allows rooms to be organized without one of the slots having to be reserved for the "owner" of the room. :)

Did you see my post. I always use the Sort Online

It is alphabetical and always no matter same order.

If the online sort option is used in the friends list, like Owens mentioned, all the snail lounges will be listed together, unless one or more are logged into and online. Online listing goes alphabetically, after sorting all the online accounts to the top.

Freakin' ninja'ed by Owens.

We doing the wednesday thing in Div 3?

I saw that and learned something today 👍 Will be using it from now on.

I have about 50 people on my friends list and it took a little scrolling to get down to them, thanks!

Yes sir!

Anyone want to take over Tuesday nights and/or Open Wheel? Starting a new job in a couple of weeks and I'm not going to have much time. What time I have I would like to use on Sunday Night racing and practice. It's been difficult to spend the time on this that it deserves.

If interested, I can close this thread and provide a link at the bottom to the new thread.

Wish I had the time. To do so. Hopefully somebody will grab the reins and we can keep this going.

Maybe Goat will step in and start that Kart series in this series place!!!

I like open wheel but maybe we should put in on hiatus until GT6 and we get some fresh open wheelers. A kart series would be fun, but I had something different in mind.
A race event where we use one model, say a Miata for example, and have three races. First race is with a stock Miata, second race is with tuning up to a designated PP(doesn't have to be exact same make as first). Third race is with a fully blown race car, Roadster TC for example.
All races will be 15 minutes long with qualifying for the first race then reverse grid after. If anyone is interested in this let me know.

Still interested in any series that starts at 9 eastern. Not so much driving the underpowered, overweight go-kart that is the Miata in all but TC form. If they removed every Miata but that one from the game I wouldn't miss a thing.

The Miata was just an example, It could be any car in the game that has a stock street model and a TC or RM or tuner version. RX 7, Golf 32, Skyline, Cappuccino, Impreza, are just a few that come to mind.

I reckon a lot will depend on who has what car at the time we want to run them. Getting cars distributed in 6 may not be as easy as how it's been done in 5.

It may take 2 weeks to a month or more for most of us to get to a point in 6 where we're comfortable running online. I know until I've got a good feel for the new physics and tire model, I won't be.

Just put a pre-order for 6 in at Gamestop and another on the wishlist at Amazon.

If its like GT5, no point learning offline physics to relearn online. ;) Jump in with both feet!!! Surely we can do private lounges to practice / learn on.

We can hope the physics are the same offline to online and if they're not, it will necessitate practicing online, but as you say, private lounges will likely get used for that. I have no intention of jumping online and making an ass out of myself in either case, like I did with the first online series I ran.

It'll probably really boil down to whether I succumb to peer pressure (Owens ;)) or not as to how soon I jump online with 6.

Didn't you practice with the demo?

ROFL. You crack me up Joe. I "practiced" long enough to get the gold and then bailed on the whole thing. Haven't even launched it since then even to play that car they unlocked at the end of GTA qualifying.

Once we get GT6 on December 6 you know we will have all those blue cars to race from the start. We could race those for a while. Or we could buy a crap Pontiac, grind, buy a Miata(we know dragon loves those) do some stupid spec race against the AI. :yuck:
I'm all about jumping in online, besides I look like a fool on the track most of the time anyway.:dopey:

I bet it takes you 20 min.

LOL. We'll see.

Now that's a plan. Only real reason I pre-ordered from Gamestop is to get all those blue cars. That, and hopes they have a midnight opening so I can spend that entire day off work, playing til my eyes bleed. I pray one of those sexy blue cars isn't a miata. ;)

The pressure has already begun my friend. :)

If you hadn't tried that GTR. I highly recommend taking 20-30 mins to enjoy it. Real treat.

Don't make me start singing ZZ Top songs. Right now, since there are about 15 weeks until 6 pops the pressure is easy to resist.

I'd actually thought about it a couple nights ago after I got the rig back together. It's slipped to the back burner since. Got a car to break in for Sunday and plan to do that tonight. Maybe if that gets done early enough I'll take it out for a spin.

I wonder about this too. It's my understanding that the physics issue is caused by the fact that everything gets a but dumbed down to accommodate all of the online game play resources. If the game really pushes the ps3 to the limits, and I have no doubt that it will, I can only imagine it will be much the same, relocate processor duty from other things in the game to handle all of the extra demand from online game play. Which is also the reason for the game degrading with each car added on the track and adding in mics. I think if things are better, they are only going to be slightly so. They can't even get more then 16 cars on track. I'm sure that is the limit before things start to get unreasonably unstable. I hope it actually doesnt get worse. I have to imagine that the algorithms they use now are much the same.

That said, like someone else said, I'm waiting a little bit longer to see what else may materialize. Probably gonna go with the 15th anniversary edition from amazon, or which ever has all the cars.

Sooo, any takers on continuing with Open Wheel or changing to a kart Series? Probably try to get another Open Wheel going with GT6; sometime in March would be my guess. We should all have a good collection of cars by that point.

Unfortunately, my motivation is taking me back to Sunday nights.

Target return date: Sept 1st!!!

WooHoo! Bring it on! 👍

I've enough on my plate now so won't be picking up this ball. Sorry.

I would be willing to continue this until we move to GT6. For now we should continue the progression through the karts. Did we keep score last week?
