Did some practice laps tonight. 34.2xx fastest lap. That was on fast tire wear though. So with normal a 33 maybe there.

Looks like 68-70 laps would be good for the main event.

Car is awesome at Motegi. Gotta back out of it in 1 & 2 and use some brake and shift down for 3 & 4. Can easily run too hard and burn tires up. So tire management will come into play I'm guessing.

Not sure about fuel beings we was on fast wear. Have to test that before Tuesday night.

Um anyone else in favor of replacing HSR with the short oval? lol Just makes the most sense seeing as this is Snail OVAL racing :sly:

I'm ok with the idea. Remind me Tuesday night and I start a discussion and get some feedback and make a decision for the following week.

I am also introducing new pit entry rules. They are specific to each track and I will go over them just before we run each track. They will also be listed in the first post in the thread.

Pit entry and exit rules for Motegi: When entering the pits there are two yellow broken diagonal lines on the back straight. You must drop onto the apron and be single file between these lines and before the horizontal yellow broken line on the apron. You must maintain single file on the apron until you enter the pits. Upon exiting the pits, you must remain single file and on the apron until you reach the yellow diagonal broken line just after the exit of turn two.

Tire and fuel is on normal. I guess I should add that to the first post.

I had the room set for a PURE race and forgot to change the tire fuel setting why I was on fast.

Going Orange this week:

Based on the times posted by Owens and the fact that I haven't run a single lap yet, the heat race will be 8 laps and the main event will be 68 laps.

I almost forgot it was Tuesday!!! Man my day just went from ok. To AWESOME.

I had just finished a rebuild and put wheels on the car when I lost power. Owens, can you take care of the room tonight and PM me the results when it's over. Thank you in advance. The laps are two posts up.

Gotcha buddy.

Gotcha buddy.

Well done OwensRacing. The Ovel event ran very smooth. Had a blast chasing you and others last night. Not sure how you find the extra speed and low lap times, but thats why we drive.

Hurry back JLBowler.

X

Thank you OwensRacing for handling everything for me. Power was only out for a little over an hour but it was at the wrong time. I will post full results early tomorrow.

I can say that OwensRacing won the night but he has already chosen a prize. That leaves a three way tie for second at 15 points. Dabneyd, Xrad-11, and AJK-Vail all scored 15 points on the night. By virtue of the highest main even finish, dabneyd will have the choice of car for next week at High Speed Ring.

How about the 2006 Ferrari 599 GTB?

:cheers:Good day to you drivers! I'm jetting off to Nashville for a few days and won't be able to make the race Tuesday night. Good luck, good fun and good race craft to all!
Now onto something completely different......
In order to not compromise the "integrity" of Bowler's series any further, I feel we should open a discussion about pit road penalties. Not adhering to the guidelines of proper pit road entry or exit can be a huge advantage for a driver. If the infraction is caught during the race, maybe a drive through penalty, if the infraction is found after the race, maybe a 60 second penalty. Let the discussion begin! Thank you and good day!

Ok, so tonight racing will be at High Speed Ring and we will be driving the Ferrari 599 from the dealership. I will try to get mine broken in and do some testing to figure out the laps.

In response to Vail, were there issues at Motegi with pit road? I should be on tonight and will go over the entry and exit policy with all drivers.

I don't think Vail will be racing tonight. My little buddy is spending a few days in Nashville. Just wanted to give you a heads up.

I know he's in Nashville but I was asking in general if there were any issues with pit entry at Motegi. I had power issues and couldn't attend.

There was some. Did you get the replay from anyone? I could try and get it uploaded. Failed at it last time but think I know what to do now.

Looking forward to tonight!!!

Roughly 67 sec lap time used as our lap count factor.

9 laps Qualifying race - 10minutes
36 laps Feature Race - 40 minutes

Chatva, if you saved the replay from the first race at high speed ring, before the S turn on the 2nd lap, i backed off. It was you and o10231994 that were rubbing together and then you ended up getting into the wall before spinning. I passed as you spun out. I watched the replay more than once to make sure.

Congratulations Chris aka HillRacing on the Feature win and over all winner for the night! Well driven.

Thanks Jeff. Was a fun night of racing. I have to thank my pit crew as without the fast pit stop it would have been a tight battle to the finish.
