Five or six posts up. It's recommended garage or current SNAIL cars. Since I haven't been able to race SNAIL the last two weeks, we will go with the recommended garage.

I will get the results from last week and the April season up later today. Right now I have to get outside and mow my yard before the heat for the day sets in.

Results for April 23, 2013

Indy SS / Ferrari Enzo
Heat race: 1. JLBowler, 2. Owensracing, 3. Hillracing

Main event order of finish with heat race points:

1....Hillracing................17
2....Owensracing...........17
3....JLBowler.................17
4....X-Rad11.................13
5....AJK-Vail..................12
6....RickyBobbyV8..........11
7....Racefan78...............10
8....dabneyd..................9
9....Nic-KL.....................8
10..tezgm99..................7
11...RacingChamp30......6

Due to the fact that Hillracing and JLBowler already made a car selection this month, Owensracing will get to make the pick of car for the next points race. Hold off on your selection. I have an idea to change up the schedule and allow for one dropped race from the final standings but I want to discuss it tonight during the short track racing.

Final standings for the month of April can be found in the first post in this thread.

Congrats on winning the season bowler 👍, i had no chance of winning without a wheel @ indy :grumpy: but thanks for the good racing in the new serries. :)

I concur with Ricky, the racing was very intense. I knew it would be since I've had a few races on ovals before in GT5 so I had an idea of pack racing, but I hadn't done races as long as these. The style is so different from the enduros that dabney ran a few months ago since everyone is bunched together much tighter on an oval which was a refreshing change :)

My hope with the series is that it makes everyone running it better at running in traffic as they get more used to doing it. This can carry over to road racing as well. Awareness of where you are in traffic is a good skill to improve upon.

Thank you owens and JLbowler, was just wondering because we been using specific cars for each tuesday nights race, good luck to all tonight.

I will probably be a little late tonight or possibly not make it at all. I have to sit down with my coaches and come up with a tournament schedule for the rest of the basketball season.

Owens, if you could get it started tonight, I would greatly appreciate it.

I am not seeing anything about oval racing tonight. What do I need to get this special track I read about? Which car is picked for ovsal racing tonight?

I've got it on my track share. Friend request sent.

OwensRacing, go ahead and make your car pick for Daytona.

I have also given though to dropping a race. While I like the idea of allowing a dropped race, I fear that it may encourage guys to be more aggressive at Daytona in particular. Here is my proposal: We will allow one dropped race from the final standings each month. This dropped race can not be Daytona unless you did not start the race at Daytona. This means that if you miss the week we run Daytona, you can drop it and use the other three. If you start Daytona, you have to use it as one of your three races for the month.

Let me know what you think of this and if you have any other ideas.

I like the idea if you miss Daytona it can be dropped. If you take green flag it's locked.

For my pick-

I'm on the fence between three cars. All Corvettes:

C6 ZR1
C6 Z06

Was thinking new Stingray but two colors makes me say no. So two choices.

Edit :

ZR1 will run out of gear. So due to that. We will use the C6 Z06

Reckon I'll find this and get it broke in if'n it ain't already. With my luck lately I've got one all modded up and will have to buy another.

Well, lookit this here happy horse puckey. Got one all broke in and no non-removable mods on it. Just gave it a fresh paint job.

Ready for some drafting festivities.

I like not dropping a week, but if we have to, this is fine.

Important Notice:

The car will be the C6 Z06 its final gear is 340, it will not run out of gear.

Sorry for the change.

I don't think that matters much, Owens....I believe we would just limit the power until that isn't an issue :)

Either way, I've got both cars broke in and had some GTAuto lovin' done to 'em.

I'm not much for power limiting. ;) I got a feeling we will have it below the Z06 power level to keep it off limiter.

Much easier to run Z06 and let it hang out. Maybe see some wicked speeds. ;)

So, we will be running the Z06 corvette at Daytona SS this Tuesday night. I will do some testing and get the laps posted ASAP.

Oval racing tonight. Chevy Corvette Z06 (C6) '06 is the car and sports soft are the tires. Mine is only breaking in right now, so laps will be determined just before race time. Sorry for the delay this week, but life has been way to busy.

So laps will be determined by the lap times so the main race lasts about 40 minutes, right? Than it looks like there will be about 50 laps in the main. Has anyone been able to do all of that on Sport Softs, no pit?

Might not be able to make it for tonight's race cause will be going to the store later. Good luck to all for tonights rate.

I count 54 laps running no draft with consistent mid 45 second laps.
I ran 16 laps and took 29 liters. Looks like 97 liters for 54 laps. If you have to pit it will be for tires. Lost about 1/4 on tires in that 16 lap. What will tire wear be on?

I know the announcement is a little late but we will allow one race to be dropped from the monthly championship standings.

The exception to this is mentioned above. If you take the green flag for the main event at Daytona, the result can not be dropped from your monthly total. If you miss Daytona, then you may drop that result. We will try this for May and see what people think about it.

For June, I am open to altering the order of the tracks or switching in the short oval for HSR if that is what the majority would like to do. We could also just keep the short oval for when there are five Tuesdays in a month and make it a once in a while event.

Ok guys, I've got a few ideas.

1: Challenger SRT8 TC

2: Nissan GT500 GT-R triplets

3: Honda GT500 NSX triplets

2 or 3 would be like a Japanese NASCAR parity. Only stank is three liveries to choose from.

Like to hear some feed back on these ideas. I believe they all be on racing hards per Snail Tire rules.

I think we should save HSR for the 5th tuesday and replace it with the short oval, it seemed to make for some really good racing last time we ran it.

Owens..
I was going to suggest the Challenger SRT8 TC before you posted. Should be a good short oval car..👍
