Over the course of three weeks, we have had 20 different drivers race this series. This is a great thing but it creates the need for a contingency plan to split into two rooms if we fill the first one. I will be working on something and will make an announcement soon. If anyone has any ideas on a good way to split the rooms, please make your opinion known in this thread.

Hey Bowler I looked at the points and it seems you missed my points from last week. I should have 33 points.

You are correct. It has been fixed. I was looking at the wrong sheet of paper when I put it in today.

BTW I never got the chance to brake in my JAG either. It did all right in a draft but not so when left out on the track alone. And, thanks to all the hard racers that got caught up in the few spin outs. I managed to thread the needle there. That helped me alot.

Also, HSR has a most unusual line for best lap time. It seems the closer to the rail you are you get higher speeds to help bring down the lap times.

Exit speed is definately more important than saving distance by taking the shortest line through the corner. Fast out will eat up any deficit on the long straights.

It comes down to the banking. If you look at the banking there it's steeper at the top which gives you more grip. It took me a while to see that but now it's one of my best tracks because I've figured out the "secret".

Progressive banking for the win! I wish it wasn't quite so extreme though. If the bottom of the track wasn't so flat there could be multiple lines through those turns. Then it would really feel like an oval.

I should go read OP again, but don't recall this.

Is there a one race drop on championship? Like your lowest finish is dropped.

I didn't put a one race drop in but it could be added rather easily. I'll leave it up to the group if we want to implement it or not.

Laps are posted in the second post in this thread. If you don't want to look, it's 5 for the Q race and 43 for the main event tonight.

Being that this is the last night of season one, if we run over 15 drivers tonight, the top 15 in points will be guaranteed a spot in the lounge. If you do show up, please do not start the night and then leave. If this is your plan, don't bother showing up at all.

Starting with the May season, I will have a new format to deal with the chance of having more than 15 drivers.

I will be there tonight.

Actually jumping in Shortly.

That was a very good time. Congrats Hill. Little luck and little skill secured the big win. We done man.

Yea great racing Owens. In some ways I'm glad I got away from you after the pit stop but in others I wish we had stayed together so we could have battled for the win. Great night of racing though. Hate to say it since I'm usually anti oval but I had fun. BTW did we decide to do a drop race or not?

Had fun last night. I know I wasn't close to being on the pace (you guys were running low 53's, I was struggling to get into the 54's, lol) so I hope I didn't get too much in the way when being lapped :scared:

Before I do any posting of results or math, I will say that we are not dropping a race for April. We will vote if we want to drop a race in May and moving forward. For April, I will post the standing both ways to show the difference but the official winner will be from the standings with no dropped races since it wasn't mentioned before we started.

I think that's fair. Even though I would have benefited from a drop race I agree that's the right way to do it.

This weeks racing will not be for points. We will be running some races at the short oval that Owens has created. Some of us have already seen this track, but if you haven't, you don't have to worry about learning it. It's very short and has a great flow to it and is easy to get into a groove quickly.

We will be using cars from the recommended list or cars that are already in use for SNAIL.

Dragonwhisky, there is room for another. Drop on by D2 tomorrow night.

Looks like I already have it. Think I got it that night you had friends over for the drinking and driving party. :sly:
