The formula V8 and Kyoto oval/national are my favorites so far, but I have tested very few cars/tracks yet (and I didn't have an S1 license, so everything is new to me). Free times are gone for the next few days!

My Sapphire Radeon 9600XT 256mb runs the game at an average 50FPS with 1152x864 resolution 2xAA and 8xAF.
I've got a sempron 3000+ and 512 mb ddr ram. Not exactly a killer rig. You dont need much power to run LFS well.

The full game actually runs smoother than the demo

The RB4 seems much easier and more fun to drive. Same with all the other cars.

With int. graphics, I get a steady 20 fps with no goodies. Works for me.

I WILL be buying a video card though. Definitely before LFS.

If I upgrade the mobo too, I will go Sempron.

if your gonna upgrade ur mobo you might want to think about getting a PCI-E card/mobo. one with SLI if your a Nvidia fan, or one with Crossfire if your an ATI fan.


the higher end AMD and Pentium 4 cards are good. I honestly dont even know if a 64bit cpu would give you any benefit in lfs.

This game is very cheap, and has been developped with a team of 3 people without the commercial backing of a major gaming software company. They managed to give us the one of the best (if not the best) current physics and online gaming code, they give you a nice free online demo to test it, and yet you still want a free ride... 👎

I've never played a racing game that ran as smoothly as lfs online. even at high pings.

MantisX is on a 56k at home and he doesn't have issues before the server reaches 15 players, and even then it's still playable. 👍

I disagree with you, 24 pounds is not cheap, that's about $48 american, I can buy GT4 for that price.. hmm already did.

I would consider buying it if it wasn't Alpha, but for now, i'll stick to finding an unlocker.

Btw, the unlocker found on Emule doesn't do anything. When you click on the image it redirects you to the registration page at lfs.net, it must be some sort of joke.
