So if you dnf you lose ballast according to the position you were in?
If you choose to park it (in the pits preferably, not on track somewhere but I get it if you do), and wait out the race then you rid your self of your ballast. I believe SkengD did this as a technique to take a strong finish in the next upcoming race from Season 1 if I recall correctly?,. If you drop or rage quit then you are stuck with your ballast for the next round. Don't get frustrated is the ultimate goal here. Since we are racing bi weekly I made the races worth the wait length wise. I keep us with in 1hr 15min to 1hr 30mins in distance roughly. I've personally been way off pace and still sit 3rd in the Championship I believe thru sticking it out. That's how I finish so well in all my Championships; you got to look at the big picture. But you are veteran and kno this already, I'm just on a rant now Thankz 4 Listining:sly:👍

Any lap times / tire degridation times boys?
I won't get started with pb's and tire wear until Monday or no later than Tuesday night. I do know we officially have another GP circuit to yo yo, this place is nice and wide like Fuji but with more turns. I'm excited about Rd3!

Yes, because its the same as if you did bad during the race and came in last place. The Theory of placing is the same in these 2 cases. Also there is a thing I call "protecting your points" For example If I have family or friends over at my house and I can exactly race or at least race the whole event, I will still sign up go thru reg's & qualifying and take to the race and retire my entry for the remainder of the race to get some last place points then none.

Over-all I know its inevitable to have all drivers never rage quit due to un-forced errors, or force errors, etc; so they end up rage quitting and on top of the rage quit collect no points opposed to some last place points that can be worth double digits here. When this happens the driver is even more less likely to keep competing because of the fear of not having enough time are race winning pace to claw back into the points fight. That's why I got rid of the 2 lobbies feature and knocked down the points to the lowest digits possible. I set the points up to where if a rage quit or accidental disconnect happens you can get right back into the fight without a big points deficit to eat into or hope drivers miss a race. We all get emotional, we all have rage quitted, we all have had someone else in our house ruin our race, so I want guys that get caught out to have a chance to complete this series and get back into the points fight. My main goal is to preserve grid population across the entire season, not start with 14 drivers and finish with 7 drivers at the end of the season. I also didn't overly award 1st place winners too many points where they can win 3 races and then take the rest of the season off and not even race anymore until the final round because they get so many points for winning a race they don't have to show up until their position is in threat again.

well, i have debating weather to join this series, and i see there is an open spot with the Lexus SC430 and i think i will claim that spot and will be there this Saturday Night 👍

Thanks Everyone! Can't wait!! 👍

So since I disconnected while in 1st on lap 11 my ballast doesn't change right?
No it did since it was the same as you coming in last place, or parking it in the pits like some of our drivers did last season. The main page spread sheets are all up to date with points, ballast, and current sign ups too! 👍

We're going to race weekly in the summer season, or run GT300 bi weekly with our GT500's, but for this Season 2 we are running bi weekly only so you get some setup & pit strategy testing all done before each race. We race distances over an hr to make up for waiting 2 weeks to race.

I'll get you signed up in the SC430 tho'

Seth has an idea of gt'400s'. Gt300 cars with higher hp around 404hp.

I like the gt3 cars, gt300 cars don't really fit my driving style, fun cars to drive, but just not something I enjoy racing.

Theyre mini gt500's. Huge downforce with lower weight than GT3's but around 375-425hp. A good bit faster than GT3 cars aside from the straights unless its the CR-Z ;)

I definitely like gt300 over gt3. The gt3 have awful handling in this game.

I miss the 50/70 DF arrangement missing from the GT1/3's of GT5. I don't really need 90 pts on the rear and only 40 pts on the front. It would be nice if I could swap it around from back to front.

One car especially wrong is the GTR GT3. IRL drivers state the lack of rear downforce. Yet it has 900points rear d.f in the game, but only 300 or 350 front. Its more likely the opposite.

That car being the slowest and difficult to drive should of had atleast 40 Pts on the front. After all my testing in that car (Nismo GT3) I can be competitive with it and the way my Blancpain regs are setup a good driver can win my Blancpain races using that big beast. I of think its 1 of the best cars to look at for replay value purposes.

I believe I'm running PB 1.13's & Avg 1.14's at the moment, or at-least before tuning. Don't think I get faster than 1.12's if I even hit that after tuning,.

Important News Update:
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
-Clarity on the Caution period rule options; Option 1 No Caution, Option 2 Caution Period up to sector 2, Option 3 Caution perod up to the start/finish line (1st lap only!)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------If Caution is a go; ''The Caution Procedure'' (just down below)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------The Caution Procedure; 2 drivers must type caution, since this will stop 1 driver sabotage. Secondly we race to the start/finish line to determine grid order. We then complete the or that next lap at the Caution speed of (88mph)., Then on the very next lap will commence an automatic green flag lap in the grid order that was set by the last car crossing the start/finish line after the collision or caution.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
*note: If option 1 is the ruling then every thing else I wrote is out the window*

You can change over to the option 3 side, lol' :sly:tup:

Ok so this track I personally think is s1ck. It reminds me of PD's answer to Mazda Raceway & Brands Hatch. Apricot Hill is going down as 1 of my test tracks with its quick lap times and fun to drive nature and every different type of turn imaginable . I see us either having a ton of incidents here or actually utilizing this tracks wide ness to pass cleanly. It depends on the drivers and when they elect to pass. Of course I think its a bad place to pass going into turns 1a & 1b. I would only complete this pass if I have completely passed the chasing driver before we get to the apexs of turn 1a &1b. I don't plan on going 2 wide in the S section there after unless also the chasing driver walks himself up the track or something like that. There is great places to pass here if drivers just wait for the opportunities instead of forcing the issue. I do believe out of the drivers whom are left that we don't have overly aggressive drivers on grid at the moment so the racing should be clean & fun. It's only 200km this round so you can't wait too long tho.

I feel like any Team part taking in F1 these days. It's all about which drivers learn & understand the tires the best. I felt I did a pretty stout tire test this week which I'm confirming again in tonight's FP3 session so as long as I can consistently run low 13's without making a mistake then I feel can place very well here. I'm 3rd in the points because I finish races no matter what happens, so hopefully you guys stick it out and don't rage quit out of frustration.

I'm re looking at the kg's on the spread sheets since the HSV poll was after the spreadsheets were completed so there is a chance that some of the kg's on the HSV drivers could be wrong. I will post the new success ballast for the HSV drivers here on the op
