is that across the board or dependant on set-up? seems a fairly general comment based on SkengD's performance. I lost a ton of time and the car was terrible after pitting for mediums, well over 2 secs a lap in Weider HSV, but I haven't had enough time with it to sort out set-up after pitting for MED tires. Could it be less car type and more set-up?

I plan to do testing tonight with various off track grip level reductions to see if they play a role in this post-pit performance glitch

Just took a quick look at gvs replay

OZ's best time on 1st Soft Stint 1:40.964, 2nd Soft Stint 1:45.064,3rd Soft Stint 1:43.279

Skeng best time on 1st Soft Stint 1:41.130, 2nd Soft stint 1:43.134, Medium Stint 1:44.250

Timee best time on 1st Soft Stint 1:42.676 , best time 2nd Soft Stint 1:45.618 , 3rd Soft Stint 1:47.343 , 4th Soft Stint 1:45.934

3rd stint, after getting wrecked by Ghaek, was on mediums, pitted on lap 29 or 30. pitted again on lap 42 or so for final set of softs.

The replays are glitched mine shows I'm the only one who use mediums. You have to just go by lap time.

The .8 tenths a lap on mediums is more what I was referring to. The cars are closer on softs but I was .7 faster on normal softs in qualifying but we were the same on glitched softs.

There is a lot this can be attributed to though, because the glitch tires are almost like a completely different tire. They require different setups and different driving technique.

Yea the GTR also has that issue but all of those fast laps were at the beginning of each stint. Basically the tire glitch is sad but there's nothing you can do about it. A different setup may help but you have to think about the time you lose on the first set of tires which will be your fastest set.

Guys I'm still out of town, I'll be back in Sunday to check it out and finally do the points. My home computer has the acrobat pro.

Ran some laps and the drop off goes upwards of 4 secs per lap from softs to meds. Meds to softs is about 1-2 secs. Third set seems to get faster and almost equals first stint of meds.

Understanding the tires & pit sequence will be key to getting on the podium

If what oz is saying is true and the HSV doesn't lose as much on the glitched tyres, whats going to be done about it?

Even if it is true not much can be done , they already gave the hsv a ridicilous 40 kg to start with.

Honestly , id wait until a few more races for more data . I wish calum had finished the last race so we could of seen his lap times .

Oz could be right or he could be wrong .

Yeah i agree that we need to see how it goes but concerns were brought up after the season opener and its been a week already since then and imo the organisers should be doing testing already to make sure it was a one off and if not then things need to be done.

If it's something that happens all the time then no other car is going to be able to compete with the hsv's.

I personally believe that what oz said was correct. Prior to pitstops I could match Joe. After the pitstops I could no longer match him, and after he overtook me could easily pull 1s per lap.

Aside from excluding the HSV/ making everyone race HSV I don't see what can be done.

But let's see how round 2 goes. Maybe it was a fluke. Maybe it was track related

I know it is true, but like Skeng said you really can't do much about it. If you add more weight to HSV it will be even slower on 1st set of tires, but we'll see how Brands Hatch goes.

I know the NSX does well. At least it use to before 1.04. It seemed to get better after you pit and laps were only a second off the best.

To help bring things to light I'm going to work more on pit procedure then car setup and see if I can exploit the 2nd stint tire situation. Tbh Zach during our race when I checked out on you I thought you were on the meds while I was on the softs originally, so this is a shocker to me. Still haven't reviewed the tapes but after my 200km race simulation tonight I'm going to go over the tapes since I have to anyways to post the points.

Nope. I didn't even have meds purchased. After you left me I pitted to put Hards on to get to end.

Couldn't believe my eyes in the race lol

I had the same situation with TNT at the end. He was on glitched mediums in the HSV and I was on glitched softs in the GTR and I couldn't pass him.

Ok guys with the replay glitch in play here,. I'm going to need drivers placing confirmation, because if you look at the drivers laps section you can see some of the mix up here. I can sort this out via countless replay rewinds and watching full laps but this way would be quicker.

From here it looks like Gheak didn't even pit, this will be fun. :banghead: I wish I was in town to get this sorted earlier.
There's no glitch with that. The laps is how many laps you've done since your last pit stop. If they lagged out the pit shows 0 and the laps is what lap they lagged out on.

-edit There is a glitch where the replay doesn't change from RS to RM when you pit but you can clearly see when people were on mediums by the lap time.

Seth wondering if theres a restart rule this season? He got d.c from the last race but came right back. Not sure which lap though.

I would say within first 5 laps is fair but we will have to vote on it or ask joe/zach to arrange a vote
