Does anyone know what the current trade in value is for S2U at GameStop in the USA? I've had this title since the 1st day of release, and I got it for the XBox and PS3.
I decided to wash my hands of this game. I have put countless hours into tuning vehicles, which in the end really improved handling. However, the last XBox patch broke the FFB for the MS Racing wheel, so I can't use it. The problem with this title really isn't the physics because tuning makes a huge difference. The problem is S2U is absolutely horrible for gamepad players.
SMS has done a terrible job at coding this title for pad use. Even with extensive adjustments to the settings yields unfavorable results IMO. There's a visual lag between your actual input and what happens on screen. There is an auto correct assist that is poorly coded, and at times requires you to countersteer this assist. The title still has too much lag for pad users.
I'm keeping my original copies of Shift for both the XBox and PS3 because I feel SMS has done a much better job with the original title for gamepad players. S2U does have some good things going for it, but IMO the title just isn't on par with the original for controller use.
It has great graphics, sounds, ect., but all those improved features are moot IMO if the latest title isn't equal to or surpasses the original when using a gamepad. Again.., I'd love to use my racing wheel, but the last patch screwed that up, and it's obvious that EA has also washed their hands as well, and this is as good as it's going to get.
