Same car GT cup: THURSDAYS - Signup here

Yeah... still no lobby in sight, looks like we'll get delayed a bit :/

E: Sheesh, the in-game friend list is kind of slow to show new friends...

The race was crazy. I'll definitely never again try to do a race this long with the same old mediums, glad they just lasted until the end... now I'm still trying to get rid of the horrific heartbeat and excitement... can't believe I came so close to losing a great race...

Demolition derby? For me it didn't seem like that, but after all, I didn't witness pretty much anything happening in the main group. There seemed to be some lag, though, so probably any hits weren't completely the drivers' fault.

Sorry about the late start guys. I had problems with the playstation update and then could not join my own lounge. I eventually did and the got disconnected after making a pit stop on lap 12...

Well done to all the drivers, it was pretty clean generally and i had loads of fun while it lasted.

the finish was so good 1st, 2nd and 3rd all right up close and 2nd position decided on the last corner!

I will post the results and table later.

For those that had connection trouble like me, I found that restating the playstation + the router + clearing the cache in GT5 settings cured the problem... Although it was too late.💡

In WSCC we found that mainly 2 things causes problems in lounge races, everyone needs to, as you also said, clear their cache before entering the lounge. Secondly using mics can cause lag. We saw a crazy start last night with a lot of lag, could be a connection thing, but no mics and setting the room settings to "normal" could maybe help. Worth testing perhaps.

It was a great race after the lap 1 incidents, for me a huge lesson in preserving tires in high powered cars. I started on softs, but already on lap 9 I had problems, and stupidly enough I stuck to my 1 pit strategy, on lap 10 I was seriously slowing down, and lost braking ability before the chicane, hit it, and later drove of track. Those softs lose grip very suddenly! After pitting I tried and managed to drive much more smoothely. But had lost contact with the middle field.

Thanks BubbleBelly542 for creating the championship website;

Seriously great work!

I pitted around midway and noticed a huge difference in grip. When I cam out of the pits I was 55 secinds bedind the leader and after just 2 laps I was 46 seconds behind! Then I got disconnected...:indiff:

Next week will be great :)

ID_racing
...no mics...

Now I may only feel this way because I have a mic but to me that is a terrible idea. Yesterday I was able to discuss pit strategies and tell people I was going around them so they knee to hold their lines and not create an incident. If anything, we should have someone with a really good connection host, and have everyone clear their caches. If you want to do this I have an excellent connection and have the bandwidth to host the "Very Good" quality races with no problem.

Thanks all for a great race, tried to take a chance on tyres, using racing softs for the entire race, never again, last 5 laps were hectic.

Carbonox - Well done, you were really quick

Hello, this is SteeeeeevoLapeer that added you earlier. I would love to join in on this, it sounds like a nice clean league(:

I should get bonus points for telling you about it. Haha just kidding.

Race start time = same as last week

I have discovered that Sony and Polyphony release updates on thursdays. There were a few drivers in and around the GMT timezone that could not make the start because they were still updating and I had trouble with the updates myself, so to make it a little easier in the event of any updates my lounge will be open at 8pm GMT (so the actual race will begin at 8:30pm gmt) from now on.

Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.

***Please remember to clear your cache (from the options menu) before joining the lounge.***

Hope to see you all on track thursday. :)

I am very confused you say the start time is the same as last week but then you say it's and hour later?

I have updated our site. The website creator has been kind of shaky so let me know if anything is out of place or is wrong. Also I use an app to make this website, and the developer of the app has released an update where I cam choose the name of the site (instead ofhttp://3mdy.zapd.co/ it could be GTCup.zapd.co:) . So, worduphomes, you have three options: 1) We keep the website the same. 2) We all vote on or suggest a name to use. 3) You can choose the name yourself.
But for now, visit http://3mdy.zapd.co/ to stay up to date. Remember, you can leave comments.

Just so you guys know I for sure can't make the race at Le Mans on the 7th, but I just found out I may not be able to make it tomorrow. I have a terrible sinus infection and I may have to go to the doctor whenever I can get in. Tomorrow is my only option as I'm going on a vacation Friday morning for a week and some change, and if the doctor can only see me at the time of the race I may have to get a relief driver. If Steve can't do it I may have another friend who can help me.

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. I mean, we will start the same time as we actually started last week after the delay (8pm gmt), rather than the 7pm gmt start time that I aimed for. So everyone gets a whole hour extra to do downloads and prepare. Nearly everyone made it onto the track last week for 8pm gmt (except me at 8:38pm LOL)...

If anyone can't make it for this weeks race, please let me know if you have a reserve driver lined up. If you don't I will try find you one.

I may need it. If so either Steeeeeevolapeer or Lambprgboy

So it's a race day again... I'm bad at driving around Laguna without any mistakes, so it looks interesting if I'll be able to repeat my victory...

Why do that when all the other aids are already allowed? I think it's more fun to drive with it...

I say no SRF Seca is challenging and it should stay that way.

I agree. I didnt use it at Nurburgring, and Ive tested it at laguna. It makes my laptimes nearly 2 secs faster, and the car loses its highpowered feeling.
I like the challenge..:)
