I agree. I didnt use it at Nurburgring, and Ive tested it at laguna. It makes my laptimes nearly 2 secs faster, and the car loses its highpowered feeling.
I like the challenge..:)

Ya I didn't use it at Nürb either. I don't know about the losing power because I've never used it but it will make the race a 'woosfest'.

Just a note, the Finish Delay (or whatever it's called) should be set to the maximum (180 seconds?) for the next race so we can have everyone actually finish the race.

That was a big problem last week. I could have passed someone but the time ended.

Well, that one was a close race again... Shame I got hit in the first corner, I guess I could've been a contender if the game didn't put me in the 5th grid for some reason... So it would appear that I'm still leading the points, but someone's gotta make the counting before I can tell. :dopey:

I feels wrong that the starting grid was so screwed up. The game gave me a not so deserved headstart, I think I qualified 5th or 6th. Hard to tell.
Only real problems I had, was caused by myself when I took 2 corners too wide and spun off like a carrousel!

At least you weren't Stevo or agent. Stevo got a shortcut penalty every time he went through the corkscrew and he didn't cut so he had no chance at all. Then agent was leading and lagged out while leading with about 4-5 laps to go. I know it sucks but it could be worse

Yeah ID. If it wasn't for one of your 'carrousels' I wouldn't have got to the lead LOL! :)

Well driven everybody. I never concentrated so hard in my life.

Hard luck to agentareanus0 who was just in front of me in the lead when he suddenly disapeared with a disconnection.

Thanks everyone for a great event.

See you next week for lemans. Be prepared to race for between 50 and 60 minutes and more pit stops and get some practice driving at night.... :)

worduphomes, maybe you could put the results and standing in the first post? With many races, it could difficult to find info later...:)

and lemans next....one of my most difficult places to race..and in a fast car, thats not gonna go well for me..:)

Continuing my habit, I think a series table would work out nicely. (Willfred also included so no worries about that) Second page contains the notes and key section.

Hi Willfred_1.

Sorry, it must be a mistake. I made that real late at night, so not surprised. i will update it later. :)

I don't think mics cause too much hassle. I often race in lounges with plenty of guys using mics and I encounter lag in many different rooms, mics or not.

I think lag does get bad with many cars in the lounge. Maybe next series we only allow 10 cars per race?

OK here is the revised table:

I hope the title chase doesn't become a connection battle... We got quite a few DNF's because of lag issues in Laguna, but it seems that some of us are from different continents (especially if some of us are South African - please confirm which flag most of the drivers, like worduphomes, are wearing).

Oh, and please please please take the first corner carefully from now on. Le Mans is our only track where the first turn isn't a hairpin, but still caution should be used to avoid possible penalties...

Yeah, I hope connection issues are a thing of the past.

I will reduce the 'race quality' in the settings for my lounge and turn mics off, to hopefully reduce or stop the lag issues.

Please make sure that you practice driving de la sarthe 2009 AT NIGHT before thursdays race. I would hate drivers to cause accidents because they can't drive the track in the dark.

Also, remember that this race is 15 laps, so it is much longer than all the other races in the series. I estimate it could take about 50 minutes and might need 2 pit stops.

See you all on track on thursday :)

Also, if anyone cant make it, please let me know who your 'stand in' will be. If you dont have one, I can try and find one for you!

After today's testing, I think I know what my pit strategy will be this time :) Definitely feels like a long race coming up...

No, I let everyone use their own strategies since they may work even better, depending on the first laps :)

Fuel will definitely need to be refilled during this race, better not take risks with it or else catastrophic consequences will follow... After 8 practice laps it had already gone down to about 1/4 of the bar. On the other hand it takes really long to get fuel into the car, so this sounds like a real pit tactic battle :scared:

ID_Racing (3rd in championship) can't make it today, so is there anybody out there that would like to stand in for him????

This race is going to be super interesting!

Pit stop stratergy, tyres, fuel, slipstreaming, night driving etc...

It's going be so much fun. Can't wait.

what are we doing about penalties as the weak setting got annoying due to inconsistency of penalising

We HAVE TO have penalties on at le Sarthe because it is probably the track with the largest scope for corner cutting of all GT5 tracks!

I think last weeks problems with lag cause penalty problems somehow, but I have been racing quite a bit this week and have not encountered any problems anywhere near as bad as last week (even in full rooms), so i am hoping that last week was just an anomily and penalties will work OK this week.

At le sarthe, it is possible to cut the final chicane on the last lap of the race and cross the finish line whilst still receiving your penalty, so I will save a copy of the race and any driver that tries that on the final corner of the race will receive a 5 point deduction from their total!

Also, this week, I will set Voice (mic) settings to none, so you cant use your mics this week. This is to try to avoid problems with lag...

Sorry to those who use them.

I'll be there tonight. Looking forward to it.
Yo homes, could you change my entry from GTP_Bergwerk to BRM-V16 on the scorecard as i will be racing under that name from now on?
