Closed Circuits Scenery

I think sometimes we forgot about the tracks and only focus on cars and when it comes to scenery, we focus on Phototravel locations. This week will be dedicated to Closed Tracks. Focus on something related to the track, like the rumble strip and with scenery behind it, or the rubber pneumatics…Anything related to the track itself and the scenery of it.

Vehicles (Not necessary in the photograph): Race Cars or Race Motorbikes
Tracks: Any Closed Real Circuit
Phototravel: No
Photoshop Rules: Free

• Both Gran Turismo 4 and Tourist Trophy can be used in this competition
• Only one entry may be submitted. It must be your own work and it can’t be one entry already submitted in another competition;

Well, the car isn't the main focus of it. Focus on the scenery and elements of it. Don't lose time withy the car itself.

Even though it is an element of the race track itself, I was thinking more of an empty track, but if you must use a car, use a in game race car please.

I've got a copy of GT4 again! so I'll actually be able to enter most of these now!

i sure wish i had component instead of HDMI cords though, cuz DAMN, GT4 looks craptacular on an LCD! and it seems that progressive doesn't work with HDMI cables (the 1080I option has always been prettt boned with GT4)

I'm playing GT4 using my PS2 running through RGB Scart and it's bloody terrible!

blech....I'm thinking of hooking up the AV's to see if gets ANY better.

plus, photomode is a PAIN. When i come out of the photowizard thingy (to take a shot) it lags a few seconds, and I end up missing a good solid 3 seconds of replay time (and I often group things together, so 3 seconds is a big deal in some corners.)

when u guys play gt4 with the ps3, do you guys adjust it to full screen and change the resolution in the game options to 480i progressive display? i'm not sure if you really need an hdmi cable to make it look good. i run hdmi, not sure if it makes a difference if you dont have it, but i find changing those settings actually make the game look good with the ps3.
though i get those funky flickering and screen shaking almost all the time, specially in photomode. and some of the discoloring get caught on the photomode files. and what's an rgb scart?

SCART is a version of component cables. bout all I know.

I changed it to 16:9 and 1080i, and then also 1080P. there was never a difference in the display at all. it all looked almost like GT2.

the photomode shots came out fantastically rendered. the ingame display is craptacular. i wouldn't mind, but the lag between the photoshoot and the replay just kills me.

if I could fix one thing, it'd be that. I don't mind GT4 looking poor now, because I have GT5. but since GT4 is my photomode playground, I want it to be like in GT4. where if there was a lag between it, at least the friggin replay didn't start before it was displayed!
