I think VIPERGTSR01(Jay) is the first neutral person I've seen on this. Usually, they either like it, or don't like it.
You are right. I do love the front bumper, that really makes it for me. I know the car is one of the most underpowered, but according to the xB owners I've talked to, they say the car is "zippy"(I guess they could be in denial).M5Power

I am neutral on the subject as well (I didn't vote), but I admire the effectiveness of the design. It stands out enough for people to talk about it a lot. And hey, they're selling well so the design must be functioning.

The xA or xB has zero acceleration "feel" OR enjoyment. Anyone that says the contrary has the current address of a sanitarium. 110bhp just isn't "zippy" what-so-ever in 2006...hell it isn't even remotely "zippy" in 1996 either. I've raced a couple of "tricked out" xB's in my stock Focus and I tore them a new one each time.

You know what is really stupid? I thought the Aztec had a really cool front end. Very aggressive and in-your face, kind of like how a European would perceive Pontiac. But the rear end looks as if the designer took leave of their senses and fouled the whole thing up.

The car is not zippy at all. Whoever said that is dillusional. I didn't think we were ever going to get to 65 when we test drove it.
I have kind of a love/hate relationship with the xB. When I first saw it I hated it, but after that every time I saw one I got to like it more. The jutting bumper is rather ugly, but when you're looking at it head-on you don't see that. Also, I like the fact that, despite being a small car, it still has lots of cargo room because Toyota's not afraid to use sharp corners instead of smooth curvy edges.
Then again, I dislike the car because it's too much like a minivan. It feels like you're on stilts and always in danger of rolling over. I don't like that it's so underpowered (it could use the Corolla's 1.8L engine). Finally, I have a little problem with Scion's image... it's kind of frustrating that they encourage people to rice up their cars. I don't particularly care if other people make their own cars look dumb, but it turns me off from wanting to buy one (just as some people don't want a Honda Civic because of their reputation).
