Screen bouncing on GT4!! WTH

Yea guys it's not THAT bad. I justed noticed it and was wondering if I was the only one. I'm glad I'm not. i'll get used to it. I'm gonna go buy S-video cable anyway. the game deserves it.

things in the distant are much much clearer edges and things can be identifyed and read etc from further away i love it, it's just like going from blur to shArp with the t.v. remote type thing, try it and it's kind of (i think) just like the s-video effect !

too bad my tv dun have s-video in....

the shaking usually only happens in rolling start, once a while in special stage 5 straight road.... dun really notice them in other places...

sooo.. they didn't fix in in US version? dang..... that sux.... not that it's THAT annoying... just it shouldn't happen in any game at all...

There are two kinds of start in GT4.

One is where everyone is line up on the grid with you in sixth place.

Two is where everyone is in a line with you in sixth place and the car is moving towards the finish line once it cross the line race starts.

Quite easily. I DID have a TV with S-VIDEO, but the transformer blew up, so I've had to get a backup TV until I can fix the other one, and the backup only has RCA.

Could be your PS2's Laser dying I guess

Try cleaning your ps2 with a laser cleaning disc. They can work wonders.

if your ps2 is chipped (not cool guys) it can wear out lasers much quicker and to an extensive amount of damage after time

Check if you had the skip intro button turn on in options menu.

No mod on my ps2... I actually got it with the GT3 bundle, the PS2 that is... So, it's got some years on it... I just got the game today, so I would hope it's not defective... I'm playing some of the game now and it seems like the play is ok... Maybe the intro video is too much for my ps2 laser and it just skips/bounces???

Might be dependent upon the PS2 itself... The first gen (model number 10000) Japanese console that I used initially had a real problem playing the intro, but my V7 does not.

As for the jittering, it's probably the same as what I've seen on the Japanese version. It tends to happen more during the rolling start, not as much during a race. BTW, I am using an S-video cable, and it makes no difference with the jittering. Both the unmodded V1 japanese console and my modded V7 console act exactly the same as far as this minor bug goes.

You guys ***** and moan about every little thing, no offense, I do it too, but come on! It's a freakin' video game, and the guys at PD worked their asses off, to bring you this game. I don't get my copy until tomorrow, but I'm sure one lil' glitch wont bother me a damn bit, unless it ruins my driving, and causes me to lose a race. Like I said, no offense. Don't go off on a spaz because I stated an opinion, it's not worth it.

I got a problem too. Intro skipps like crazy, and then i get stuck at the loading screen where it says GT in big letters and a small wheel is spinning under it in the middle. THe ps2 is making weird noises. I exchanged the games thinking that was the problem and then I tried putting older games in like GTA SA or GT3 and they work perfectly.
Any ideas?
I have the slim ps2 and its pretty new i guess. Could it be the laser?

m4vrick... I'm there with ya on the Intro skippin like crazy... I was able to get to the game and have been playing it though... You said you exchanged your copy at the store and got a new one and the same thing happends at the intro? I wouldn't see a problem with the laser since you have the new slim ps2...

uh, this game was delayed and delayed. I expect obvious glitches to be fixed if I'm the one coughing up money for it.
