Yeah, these demos gave this thread new life, so to say. :D

What I've found (no pictures at the moment, I'm sorry. I'll try to upload some later):
- The [R] Lotus Elise GT1 has 3 colors, but you can't see anything due to a strange-looking car model. (I don't know how to describe it)
- The Renault Clio Sport V6 24V is also available in yellow.
- The Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG has about 10 (9) colors: black, grey, white, dark red, light red, cyan (appears two times), grey-blue, dark blue, dark green.
The Mercedes-Benz C43 AMG has 9 colors: white, light grey, dark grey, black, dark red, red, lighter red, green and blue with a little bit grey.

I'll try to upload some pics of these cars (and maybe other cars) later today.

Interesting, I might take a look.

I've put all these screenshots together and made 4 .gif's, 1 for each car. I hope it's not a problem for anybody. If it's a problem, just tell me and I'll upload them as .jpg's, like a normal person would do. :D

EDIT: just look at the next posts ;)

...yeah... .jpg them.

Ok, I removed them and I'll upload them as .jpg's in a few min ... just have to get them all on one picture - don't worry, it won't be really big. ;)

Maybe it's better if you also remove the .gif's in your quote. Thanks. :)

If you click on the pictures, they should send you to flickr (and to the bigger original picture), because I don't wanted to post the full picture here, so I did it like this.

I think .png would be better, as it's the format I use and it's quite clear compared to .jpg.

But it's your choice really :)

I think I'll stop messing with those car codes for now, unless I want to drive one or something for fun.

First though, I'm going to upload some other screenshots I've took.

Racing Panda already mentioned this, but I'm going to post it. I just wish I could drive it. I tried the crash prevention code that Xenn shown already on a couple of cars (I've entered the correct body codes too), but no luck.

Beta Shelby Cobra 427 (Came in the same colors as the Cobra Coupe weird enough)

It's already too late. I should work faster.

Ok, I've updated my post. I hope it's big enough, because posting every car in a single picture ... well, I don't think anyone needs that. :scared:

Wow, the Cobra in all these colors ... I really don't get it why they left them out. I mean, it can't be a licencing issue, because if I'm not mistaken, all these cars were also sold with these colors. (I'm only sure about the two Mercedes-Benz, don't know about the other cars)

You have the privacy of the Flickr pics turned to On. The images have to made public, or you have to "invite" users to Flickr for the images to be seen remotely.

And I thought this option would only hide the pictures from my photo stream. Thanks for the info, I've changed it. It should be public now.

I expected the Viper GTS-R to be it's GT1 livery, but instead I got the GT2 version. Change the color, and it is incompletely painted (the stripe in rear bumper remain green). :odd:

Oh, any signs of sunrise version of High Speed Ring? In the "alpha build" (test drive version) of GT1, as well as License Test B-6 of the final version of GT1, HSR is in sunrise. GT2 hinted this in a game art and Arcade Mode track preview, but in the end, it is in the normal noon time. ;)

Im doing a scan with a tool used for modding wrestling games to bring up all the textures in the game, and images, Lets hope I find something interesting.

No luck, all I found were a few lighting sort of things, every single wheel in the game & some distorted nameplate things, like the car's model logo displayed at the top of the screen when it's selected, eg. the mustang GT part above.

Another odd thing I should add about the Viper GTS in the GT2 PH demo I was playing was the handling. I had no trouble at all with controlling the car when I drove it, while in GT1 & GT2; it was always trying to spin out when I got into a corner where I would have to correct it to keep it straight.

Just so you guys know, in case you didn't see the thread that I made about it, I've got a page started on TCRF.net for Gran Turismo 2. Feel free to add anything cool/unique/interesting that you find there.

Also, I found High Sonic Toning (black/grey - I miss that color! :() in 1985 AE86s. I also found a blue/black color in the 1983 AE86 Trueno (the Levin crashes the game). I am going to upload it to YouTube along with some other stuff I and others found, but the uploader was a hog. :grumpy:

EDIT: Annotations are added. Here's it:

I've watched and commented on your video. Anyway, cool find on the blue Trueno. I wish that was in the final. Of course, there's a lot of cars at this point that are in the demo that I also wish were in the final. Oh well, at least I can drive some of the cars in the demo (with some glitches).

^I am going to investigate the '93 Civic to see if Tahitian Green (replaced by Lausanne Green in final) is there or not. :)

Don't bother, I already did that.

and here it is! It does indeed have the Tahitian Green color.

Here's the beta celica GT Four as well. It's missing the light green color from GT2 & it doesn't even have it's original GT1 color selection.

Here's a ford focus with a color I don't remember it having in GT2.

Well the home garage doesn't let you pick colors, your stuck with what it gives you.:indiff: I don't recall seeing any vehicles with them wheels except that Peugeot.

...shoot, knew there was something I forgot to do. I'll start contributing in a few.

Xenn, you know that anti-crash code you gave me for the car bodies? I don't think it works. I did everything correctly, I entered the correct body code, put the code in various ways in each attempt. The game still goes to dark screen.

It's possible the car simply doesn't work at all, or it was never meant to work in a race.

Only thing I can think of when it comes to that.

Another odd thing is that I tried racing the 1996 Impreza Rally Car and it didn't work. Which is odd, because I recall seeing it in one of the trailers for Gran Turismo 2 on Smokey Mountain.

It definitely works in one of the later demos, it works on the demo that's includes the course record while racing (difficult naming these as they don't really have any date to them on when they're made).

It's properly modeled in that demo too, whereas the earlier demos have an Altezza RM if I remember correctly.

I think you mean the 1999 Rally Car, because the 1996 Impreza Rally Body still is shown in my demo. I have footage of it too that I'll post on youtube later on.

I'm going to have to try again at downloading one of the later demos. The last time I did though, I had no luck because the file was in rar and I don't have a rar extraction program. I converted the rar file into a bin file, but that just gave the emulator a black screen. Although, I bet more cars work on the later demo if that one worked.
