Yup I do have the Beta 180SX '94 RM :P

Here's everything you'll need. VRAM rips, texture sheet, and screenshots of the car.
http://www.mediafire.com/file/6b9c9984tkgjc3m/BETA180SX94.7z

What I did was extract all 16 parts of the texture with PVV, then opened each image in xnView and used the color picker to get hex color values. Then I used a converter to make those values into 15-bit, BGR hex values (that's how the colors are coded on .c-p). Then, for the RT/10, i extracted the texture with GT2 viewer, and used xnView to get the original color, converted thos into 15-bit, found where they were on the .c-p file, and replaced with the one I got previously. And repeat for everything. I ended up writing everything down so as to find it later.

So before I get back to modding GT2 (thank you @B_rad88! for sending me a modding kit!) I did some more searching through the car roster on GT2 Test Drive. I went through the Subaru cars this time, I found mostly name differences though.

The Subaru 360 has a weird name on this demo. It is:
Screenshot_20170902-124233.png

"SUBARU360 YOUNG SS"
The actual model of the 360 still has the hilariously misplaced rims, like in previous demos and also the GT2 article in a OPM UK magazine:
Screenshot_20170902-124243.png

The Subaru Forester S-Turbo was called the 2000 S-Turbo originally, with the "S-Turbo" part abreviated.
Screenshot_20170902-124327.png

The Subaru Impreza Rally Car '99 retains its misspelled "PALLY EDITION" name from the previous demos too.
Screenshot_20170902-124524.png

While the 1997 Type R STi was fixed, the 1997 WRX STi Sedan still contains a glitchy STi in its name:
Screenshot_20170902-125624.png

Not sure if this logo was kept the same in the final.
Screenshot_20170902-130157.png

And finally, the Rex Supercharger VX hidden in the final game exists in this demo, albeit with no logo, and of course, an Altezza placeholder body.

Subaru 360 Young SS is because it IS the Young SS version. It was "wrongly" renamed as just 360 for the final game.
81kAHJ5SJ9L.jpg

Then for the rest, as always, Japanese nameplates and names. The Legacy one is present as the japanese nameplate for the Legacy, the PAL and USA are written differently, with no green.
Lol at the Impreza Pally though :P

I will also add that all of the older model Imprezas that were also in GT1 still have their GT1 body, with dimmer taillights, no 3d modeled hood scoop, and colors. They were later updated to be closer to the newer models found in GT2.

Also, so the License track is a full track! O.O I wanna race on it! It could've been made open >.>

I think it's called Young SS in the Japanese version of the game though,

I got thz Young SS nameplate from either the demos or the JP version, so yeah it might be. But i dislike that it was changed to just 360 for the USA and PAL versions :/
In fact, I changed a LOT of the PAL nameplates to japanese ones just because they're either better looking, or more accurate.

Ok, cool thank you! I'll see what I can do, unless you beat me to it. Lol

(Random note, check out "Wasabi Cars" on youtube, Daniel lives in japan and seen many cool cars including several young ss'! Check it out, its worth it!)

Well enough waiting and teasing........

Here is a few of my mods to start with:

Cobra coupe in dark red only (works in garage and inrace) made for another member, but now its official release.

Cobra coupe in blue only (works in garage and inrace) made for another member, but now its official release.

'82 corvette (light green and light blue replaced with beta orange and beta yellow) made for another member, but now its official release. (Bonus included is a color name file to change the names of the modded corvette colors. It will also fix the 82 starlet wrong name green color, and changes the 93 civic hatchback dark green name to tahitian green name)

Xsara rally car red only (color codes from the beta rm car) (works in garage and inrace) made for another member. But now its official release.

Xsara k2 kit car red only beta rm. (works in garage and inrace) Made for another member. But now its official release.

Xsara.PNG

By the way people keep forgeting to mention about the differences......... as the beta k2 kit car rm (car on top) has beta standard wheels. As the rally car (car on bottom) uses rally style rims. Also spoiler locations the beta k2 kit car (top) is on the trunk/boot and the rally car (bottom) is on the roof. @submaniac93 the boot mounted spoiler might have been correct for '98, but its also not correct....... as in the wrc the xsara rally car (red body fade to white roof painted car) had roof mount spoilers....... ahhhh the good ole days when Richard Burns raced for Subaru in the "bug-eyed" wrx's! So to me the roof spoiler xsara is more accurate :P lol.

Also "fixed" honda s2000 #39 rm with colors. Fabiopsyduck pointed out a few glitches so I tried to correct them...... thank you @Fabiopsyduck for giving me feed back about my mods and work!

#39 s2000 rm v2 is beta texture with beta colors on final mesh.

#39 s2000 rm v3 is beta texture map in the final colors in the final texture with final mesh.

MUCH MUCH MORE TO COME!!!!! stay tuned!

Thank You,
B_rad88

Nice stuff, but since i keep saying that the WRC Xsara never had a roof mounted spoiler, nor does it even look like the F2's shape, i ask you to show me a picture of either a F2, WRC, or even Rallycross Xsara with one.
I can't find a picture of one and am willing to learn :3

I can't find a picture of one and am willing to learn :3

Here's what I can figure out from all this:

The beta / GT3-onwards Xsara Rally Car is based off the WRC Xsara from 1999, with the spoiler correctly placed on the trunk. However, the GT3 version is more accurate, because it has the white roof that the real car had, while GT2's beta Xsara doesn't have it.
84112_1.jpg

However, I can't find anything close to GT2's Xsara Rally Car when searching "citroen xsara f2" or "citroen xsara kit car" on Google.

So, my conclusion is that the Citroen Xsara Rally Car present in the final version of GT2 could simply be fictional, as I don't believe there were any Xsara rally cars in real life which were either black or had the spoiler located on the roof.

That's what i'm thinking. All the WRC versions of the Xsara have the WRC-required trunk mounted spoiler, while the kit-car 2.0 that is present in GT3-onwards is... i want to say wrongly specced to 300hp. It should be 275. But i guess that was to compete against the other real WRC models.

I'm not sure now..... I was 13, and 9/11 had just happened, plus parents divorced, and other crap, so I could be mistaken......... but I swore I saw a roof mount.

And if its required for trunk mounts then they should've made a few different manufactures change a some of they'er stuff. But anywho, oh well.

"Say hey Terence, lets look for some treasure." "Yes Phillip lets look for some treasure."

Well its time again..........

here is some treasure.....

New Circuit title screen, I forgot which psx game I ripped that from.

Steelies are cool! Is a small pack of the few steelie rims in gt2!

And a new custom pheaton nameplate using the "v12" logo from the actual pheaton concept brochure pamphlet!

Please enjoy and have fun!

Thank You,

WRC Cars were required (and probably still do) to have a spoiler with vertical mounts on both side of the car. So hatches had to have a spoiler mounted on the rear pillars, and sedans, had to have a "STi-like" spoiler. Ford and Citroën had trouble homologating their Focus (2001) and C4 back them, because the Focus had a "whale tail" and the C4 did not have vertical mounts on its spoiler.
F2 cars had some other spoiler regulations i'm sure, but from a logical point of view, putting a spoiler on the roof on the Xsara would not be very efficient, because it wouldn't provide as much downforce at the rear since it's so far forward. I think most cars would want a spoiler mounted as much rear as possible (although I'm sure there's a limit to how far out it can be, otherwise we'd have cars with spoilers 1-2 meters behind lawl)

Ok. Didn't the escort rally car variant have a roof mount? I have a hot wheels of a 98ish escort rally with a roof mount.

And I've seen several cars, whether be production, aftermarket, or custom, with roof mounts that have benefited downforce, 1 of the reasons hot hatches uses roof mounts. Even the 1994 suzuki swift gt had a top hatch/roof mount spoiler, same goes for the 1993 eg6 civic hatch.

But I'm not tring to start an argument.

And lol you mean back in the days of group B, the best ever! Or like the japanese cars with the 6ft exhaust and 10ft long front chin lip, ect. Lol.

EDIT: found the escort with roof mount. Apparently its a RS2000 kitcar........?

Lol it looks silly. And weird because i've only ever seen F2000 Escorts with rear mounted spoilers xD Yeah, that's a F2000 car, the same category as the 306 and Xsara. The escort you're mentioning is the Group A 92-97 Escort Cosworth, right before the WRC variant was introduced. And no worries, i'm not arguing with you (at least, that's not what I meant to do), i'm just genuinely wondering why people keep mentioning the GT2 and GT3+ Xsara being either a WRC or having a roof mounted spoiler, which don't match with my knowledge lol.

Also, I personally don't consider the Xsara as a hatchback, because the hatch's slope is closer to a fastback than a hatchback. On the 306, Saxo, Focus, 206 etc. it makes sense, because there is clearly no trunk to put it on that's further in the back, but the Xsara, just like the Opel/VX Astra, Mégane coupe and some others have the room.

Ok, I wasn't saying you was or anything. I dunno much about rally anymore, as after 2004, things became complicated to follow like f1 rules, stupid stuff. I usually watch retro rally events and historical rally races now.
I did find a citroen vx kit car with a roof spoiler...... so does the 306 maxi.

Also random fact: the citroen xsara uses the peugeot 306 chassis! Speaking of peugeot I saw the youtube "peugeot old factory" video, so many rare peugeots I want just sitting abandoned and collecting dust.

@B_rad88! The Escort in the game had the rear mounted spoiler like the WRC Escort:
View attachment 670989
But I know which Hot Wheels you're talking about. I myself had a similar one too.

My hot wheels escort is white with blue, and bbs style wheels. I think its a first editions. I wish I had the hotwheels peugeot 205 rally car and the matchbox rs200.

Yeah I know the in game car had a boot spoiler. I wish it was more like the 1995-1996 Escort Cosworth RS. Just like I wish the rs200 group b rally car was ingame.

To me whats annoying is they have the street version of the ford rs200 and not the rally car, but they have the delta s4 as a rally car but not the street version..... ugh. I wish the delta s4 was the stradale version!

IIRC, mine was a black and yellow one, with the same BBS rims.

I know, that Cosworth spoiler period is very inconic....

At least they had both the stock RS200 and RS200 Group B in GT4...

But if I recall GT4 only had the Delta S4 rally car, but not the stock car... :boggled:

Nice.

And yeah I have gt4, it also has both road and rally of the 205 t16, renault turbo 2 road and rally, the audi quattro was rally only as well.......

The Audi quattro in GT4 was actually the road car. Luckily, the Pikes Peak Audi quattro S1 would later appear in GT6.

Duh yeah, sorry. Lol. Speaking of the quattro, just seen a red one (full size, not sport) about 3days ago. Really nice condition too. I wish I had the time to stop and take pictures.

I have the same Escort Hot Wheels, but in different color and now it's in bad condition; might use it for customizing. Also, they actually retooled the casting in 2017 to make it more accurate to the real car:

Annywaaysss... Back on topic here... I went through the French cars on GT Test Drive, because of our little rally car discussion yesterday.

It seems that other than having different color choices and maybe unfinished models and missing RMs, the French cars were pretty much finished.

The Peugeot 106 1.6 Rallye used a better logo in my opinion:
Screenshot_20170905-102108.png

When typing in code "225C 1036" into the Garage Body Modifier, I get the beta Citroen Xsara Rally Car. (225C 1036 is the racing version of 2258 1036, the code for the standard Xsara. The "8" suffix in a car's code is a normal version, and a "C" suffix is a racing modded one. Sometimes cars will have a "D" prefix if it has more than one type of RM). This confirms there was an RM for the Xsara that was cut and changed into the Xsara Rally Car.

Yup, the 106 Rallye and S16 both have their actual typography in the demos. Those are the real logos, but they were inexplicably changed to bland uninspired logos... the S16 also has a different Blue and a removed White color.
As for the Xsara, yup, we knew that. :P

Well I originally was gonna pass on dropping a mod today since I release 3 yesturday , but today I had good news, and because I'm in a happy mood, I'll drop an extra mod today!

Also because the threat of hurricane Irma is getting closer!!!!!

And side note, this is the calibra race car beta, but notice anything strange?

In the side number box it says "TES" and the rims say "TEMP"........WOW!? I laughed hard at this!

I hope everyone enjoys! And keep safe during hurricane Irma!

Thank You,

Nice one with the Pulsar. Definitely a car that I want to add someday. Hopefully, I'll be able to port the black color to this version, so that we can have the livery on black :P

I beat you to it bro :P lol,.... but the hardest part is left..... you want to have a go at it?

EDIT: notice its a different beta body..... no wheels and it has fog lights........

Nah go ahead if you've started already :3 Try putting some colors onto the wheels, they could have a shape. The Nismo GTR-LM also has white wheels, but i put colors in the palette slot and aparently, it has the same wheels that the beta Corvette C3 Stingray :embarrassed:
