After driving and tuning in this game since the day it was released i think i may have a go at this as tester and tuner , atleast part time, just to give it a shot.

So whats the going on's ?

Read the OP first and foremost, unfortunately due to the circumstances you only have until 7AM GMT to enter a tune. Testing begins soon after, I'd be grateful if you could be a tester at least, if not a tuner as well as we're lacking testers. :) The tunes will be tested on the Cape Ring Periphery seasonal event and each individual lap as well as the total time will be logged.

@nomis, no insta-bans, there could be legitimate questions.

Yes i just had a look at the 1st page, shame im late oh well. so basically as a tester i drive a car tunerd by somone here at the FF seasonal as fast as i can?

Yup, the Cape Ring Periphery race. Log the lap times and total times in a post here and give some feedback too if you like. The rewards are the credits and helmet from the race, and krenkme's prizes :)

Quitting testing because I don't want to test the crybabies' cars. I don't care that my car was disqualified, however it's sad that the crybabies had to kept crying and crying until krenkme couldn't take anymore. You're disappointed? Pfft.

I already explained my reasoning. Not my fault if you can't understand it.
Neither of you has been wronged in any way whatsoever, and you both quit.

You chose your own rules, and krenkme flip-flopped on the rules. Both, your own doing and fault.

Crybabies?

CSLACR enough. You're not involved in this shootout, stop adding fuel to the fire.

Wah, wah, wah. Wah. That's all I'm hearing from you.

I'll explain one more time. Listen carefully okay? Krenkme (the guy who started this shootout) borrowed the rules and regulations from DigitalBaka (the guy who started the first Seasonal Tuning Challenge. If you didn't notice, this is the STC2. 2. 2.). Does it not make sense that by copying the rules over, you are copying the meaning of those rules over? I am not choosing my own rules, I simply followed the rules as I knew them. Yes it should've been clarified from day one, but do you need to moan and cry and whine about it until this mess happens? No. This was supposed to be a fun shootout, yet you still wanted to ruin everyone's fun. No one ran dirty oil and no one was gaining an advantage by not changing the oil of their premium cars. "Oooh I can't change the oil on my Spoon CR-Z so no one else should be able too!"

And yes, crybabies. You can read, I'm proud of you.

If you still need to question me, well, I don't know what to say. I feel bad for you really. I got 99 problems but a lack of understanding aint one.

Yo get this right, the cops chased this guy today and he ran into a store. When the cops went into the store they could not find this dude for anything. They were all standing in one of the isle talking amongst themselves when crash. Here come this fool falling from a drop ceiling.
Why would you hide in a drop ceiling, it cannot hold weight lol. I know my joke is corny but you guys get my drift. No need for the back and forth. Keep that in private messages.

Huh? Sorry I don't quite get it. :P
He makes a good point though. No more derailing, keep bickering, if you must, to PM's.

@Onboy/Trackripper: Insta-ban for anyone who even mentions oil changes from now on, perhaps???

With the extended tuner deadline, the time I'd set aside for testing is now reduced (IRL stuff is about to get very busy). So unfortunately I won't be able to do the full 5 lap Seasonal test. I am still keen to provide my fastest laps for all cars (best of 3 practice laps) and comments if this would help.

I've already tested 10 cars, does the above mean the only car that might need re-testing is Jahgee's?

No, mine is fine, I already did the oil change beforehand

Damn right, I tested too many cars to not be in it but my spirit is not there right now. Maybe I will go online tonight and take out my aggression on some online racers lol.

As much as I hate to be bringing this up again, but in your tune Geebaby, you've listed Engine Overhaul and Chassis Restoration but not Oil Change... Have you changed it? Sorry for bringing this up again... :ouch:

Yes my good man, my car is in good standings. I overhauled before testing and changed oil before sharing. I might of left out a quart to shave some weight though lol.

Excellent GeeBaby, sorry for that but I had to make sure đź‘Ť

Looks like we're all set, tuners, if you need it, you have 7 hours remaining to deal with the oil change problem only, no fiddling with tunes, just a re-jig of the parts list.

Lolol it wasn't a joke for real, it was to change the topic.

You're supposed to bring the topic back to the shootout, not push it further away into a store where people hide up in the drop ceilings that can't hold any weight. Where did you even get that from?

I've said my piece anyway. If CSLACR wants to continue, I'm just going to send him reaction images. His choice.

That actually did happen today though but it was only funny seeing not talking about it.

Looks like I made a boo boo telling krenk to copy my format to save time. :embarrassed: I understand everyone's actions here and while I am certainly disappointed it went down like it did I won't fault or blame anyone for doing what they need to do. đź‘Ť

For the newer faces in this shootout I will run your cars and provide some feedback for you. You guys that have been around for a while will have to do without. :D I'll keep my feedback to PMs so it isn't a formal result since I won't be testing everyone.

Again, for future I am going to toss the oil change rule in favor of the suggestions made previously: no light and no significant power fluctuations. Sorry things went as they did but we will fix it for future events. I do hope the newer folks will return and not be discouraged by the flow of conversation here. We really do have a good time. :dopey:

Onchav and company, let me know if you need assistance sending out prizes. Happy to help since I have credits coming out my ears these days.

I believe that's time up for tuners, all cars should now be on share for the testers.

Testers you have until 5th to run the cars around the Cape Ring seasonal event.

My car its oil change from the begning and its on share for testing .i know that my car not fast and iam sure that it will be the last car did time but i want feed back to improve my tune in it thanks :-)

Hi folks,
Here are my best lap results and comments. All testing done in Practice Mode with sixaxis controller, grip real, controller sensitivity 1, ABS 1, all other aids off. Lap time is best of 3 laps. Feel free to comment or ask for clarification on anything.

Regards,
Simon

Ugabugaz- Spoon CR-Z (orange- disqualified)
1:58.6
First car tested, always a tough ask for the unlucky car which has to go first. Nicely balanced, however bites back savagely if you put a wheel on the grass or kerb. Overall, a very competent tune. Well done.

Werty 56-1- Cuore TR-XX (grey)
2:06.6
Lacking the grunt of Ugabugaz' CR-Z, the Cuore was still a fuss-free drive. Perhaps a bit roly-poly (to be expected given the high centre of mass), but overall a good tune. Nice work.

NEWDRIVER 2- Civic 1500 3 door (orange)
2:01.1
A bit much understeer for my liking. Also, a peaky engine needs tight gearing to stay on the boil, so I think it would be better with taller ratios for the lower gears. Once a line was established, the car felt reluctant to any changes and extracting its best felt like an exercise in patience by not asking too much of the modest front grip. Sorry to sound harsh, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

Jollygreen- CR-X SIR 90 (red)
1:57.1
Brilliant! Balanced, adjustable, fun. The only possible suggestion is a bit less understeer while braking, but that would be splitting the finest of hairs. Great tune, congratulations.

amzgspider- Corsa 1.4 '01 (blue)
1:59.8
Similar to Newdriver's Civic in that it felt like it was reluctantly being dragged around the track, although not as much as the Civic. Ride was quite jittery. Good gearing.

GranTourist- Corsa 1.4 '01 (white)
1:58.2
A true giant-beater. Great balance and adjustability. Wonderful gearing (I really like the taller ratios allowing 1st and 2nd to be used more). Really enjoyable, thanks for allowing me the pleasure to drive it.

Jahgee1124- FIT race car (blue)
1:58.6
Sorry to sound rude, but the gearbox ruined this car for me. Massive gaps shifting into 3rd and 4th but then 5th is barely any change from 4th. While it struggles a bit with multiple direction changes, front grip is excellent, as is overall balance.

GeeBaby- Tiburon '99 (white)
1:56.3
Yikes! Where did that laptime come from?? Suspension felt a bit soft, therefore unable to react fast enough in some corners. Everything else was great: perfect gearing, excellent front grip, nice balance. This car was also the most fluid through turn 1. Great job!

Onboy123- 106 S16 (yellow)
1:57.9
Punched well above its weight, thanks to incredible chuckability. While it lacked the grunt of the Corsas (never thought I'd say that!), it pipped them for lap time by sneaking past in the twisty bits. Great tune.

LineR32- Infiniti G20 (yellow)
1:56.2
One of the bigger cars in this shootout, but it used the size and power to good effect and gave the highest mid-corner speed around the ring. Turn-in is very sensitive to being in the right gear. Gear ratios are great, handling is very well balanced. Well done.

Trackripper- Lupo GTI (blue)
1:58.0
Very pleasant to drive at 9/10th pace. But when you're looking for that final bit of speed, things unravel a bit. The car takes a while to react to inputs, grip levels through a corner become inconsistent and it is unpredictable whether the front or rear will slide first when pushing hard. I suspect this Lupo has the grip to take turn 1 faster than the FIT, but I found it really hard to place this car correctly so it always emerged trailing the FIT. On the plus side: great gearing, decent grunt and good front grip under power.

xDesperado- Celica GT-R '91 (pink)
1:57.9
Very stable, to the point of mild understeer, and it is very sensitive to being in the lowest possible gear when turning in. Gearing is great. Although I didn't find it fun, it is a very forgiving car, easy to drive at its limit.

C-ZETA- 106 S16 (white)
1:58.2
Very nice. For the whole lap, it was inseperable from Onboy's 106! Good gearing. A bit of understeer underbrakes, but otherwise it was very well balanced. Nice tune!

Jacktalad- Talon Esi (red)
1:56.9
Big and soft, but I don't mean that as a complaint! It has a wonderful flow through the corners and is very easy to drive. Great work with the gearbox, expecially with only 5 gears to play with. It should have been about 0.3s quicker, but I botched the 3rd last corner of my final lap. Sorry Jack! Great tune.

DigitalBaka- Yaris RS Turbo(red)
1:58.5
Incredibly quick for a car this underpowered. The only possible room for improvement was that the screeching front tyres made me wonder if they were running at their best camber angle. Great work getting the gears perfect when you have such a wierd power curve and only 5 cogs to play with. Handling is brilliantly chuckable, and perfectly balanced. Once my allocated laps were up, I wanted to just keep driving it!

Theo777- Accord '88 (white)
1:58.2
Sorry but this tune wasn't to my liking. Too much understeer for me, and I found the gearing put me in "no man's land" at a few of the critical corners. Also, body movement wasn't very well controlled and would upset the car mid-corner. On the plus side, exit grip was really good.

lldantell- Prius G '09 (black)
2:02.7
Ummm...things are about to get ugly sorry. This car really didn't appeal to me. The vacuum cleaner engine takes forever to respond to throttle inputs and after braking the front takes forever to bite before you start turning. On the plus side, the chassis is nice after the apex and thank goodness GT5 doesn't include the stupid keyless start or hidden handbrake pedal or nonsensical gear selector of a real Prius (the first time I drove one IRL, it took me 20 minutes just to get the damn thing moving!)

Wow my first feeback , thanks !

I'v tried my best (3rd place) did you managed to get to which one ? Also , do you use DS3 or wheel ? This has been tuned with DS3

Cheers for sticking with this shootout Nomis, I appreciate it, as I'm sure do all the other tuners.

Now to work out why my tunes are always half a second to a second off Onboy's... Oh this time it was only 0.1 secs. :D

Thanks for the feedback :)
