Secret/Unicorn Cars?

Im thinking about a secret car for GTS, maybe the new Ford GT Prototype spotted on the streets the last year

Maybe can be famous how the R35 Black Mask in GT5 Prologue or the Corvette C7 Prototype in the GT5 final release.

If there are secret cars in GTSport, maybe they could be models that could be obtained for the dealership, but in special colors, like the pink Vitz in GT3 and the yellow Dodge Copperhead in GT2. Or, it would be sweet for their to be some more Gran Turismo "LM Race Cars", since we haven't gotten any since GT4 and all of them are standards.

But I'm not sure what the chances are of secret cars appearing in GTSport. Although secret cars were a cool thing in early GT games, there were none in GT5 or 6. And how long would the cars actually be "secret", because I'm sure once they are discovered, people will post what they are here on GTP.

This sort of relies on there not being a livery editor though. Any colour should be relatively trivial to duplicate if there's a livery editor.

These days, it's less about them being secret and more about them being rare or rewarding to get.

There's only one way to get secret cars. PD must not divulge the car list ever!

If you think that's gonna stop people someone from obsessively putting together a list of all the cars or doing their data mining to find what else car is there, you under-estimate the determination of the internet. .

Of course it won't stop them... but still would take someone a few weeks to complete the game and put together the car list.

Or someone with cracking skills to debug game data and reveal the car list. Anyway that would still give us a little time to be surprised. :D:D:D

Yes, about a week I'd guess...

Admittedly, that was part of the fun back in the community during GT1-4. PD didn't announce complete car lists then, so dissecting each trailer brought us new info, and the rush to discover prize cars once the game was released was, well, a rush. GT2 and GT3 in particular had a lot of cars that could only be won, but unlike GT4, they weren't even listed in dealerships, so it really was a challenge to find everything.

Several secret cars from past GT games I never had the chance to enjoy, most notably the hidden Diablo. (Which would have been phenomenal back then, but it was a turd in GT5)
Simply because I didn't check the internet for anything of the sort. I wasn't a fanatic.

I admit I like the concept, but at the same time, for most players it simply means checking the internet and then acquiring. And for those that don't check the internet, the cars basically don't exist.
Why spend money on content that many people will never appreciate or enjoy?

Fanatics would love it, but fanatics only make up a low percentage of buyers.
