How would that work in Gran Turismo? Will they give us one or the other? Perhaps 600hp stock and upgrades that give 850? Personally I think 600 would be the most fun to drive.

I think they'll go for the 850 number as default since this is a videogame (I think for example the modern Ferrari's included in GT5 also have the race-setting selected as default) and with the ingame power-limiter you can ofcourse adjust it to 600 yourself if you want.

As for the body, I believe it just has the shape of a Mustang, I'm saying that the body panels probably aren't even from a real mustang, maybe except the front and rear parts. I could be wrong though. :ouch:

Look at the pics in the link I posted earlier, looks like most panels were created, or highly modified.

According to Jordan's news article the car is a hand built one-off starting with a '69 Mustang and using only the drivetrain from a Ford GT. The body and chassis are custom built and the suspension is C6 Corvette kit. It's definitely not a Mustang body on a GT chassis, but more like the Art Morrison 3G Corvette, a mostly custom car based on a classic body style.

This picture shows the body changes pretty well. http://www.eckertsrodandcustom.com/images/mustang/31.html

It appears as though they added 4-6 inches to the middle and shortened the nose a bit. The overall length, and wheelbase, are probably close to stock. It's difficult to tell looking at pictures though.

I would have liked the Mopar Juiced Charger but I think KY is partially bought off buy Ford, GM, and VW/Audi.

I quite like the Mach Forty, it is a rather unique and quite beutiful machine, it looks like a very fun car to do some very fast (and very sideways) laps around Silverstone or Mount Panorama, who knows?

Although i don't like the Beetle much i would be happier with that turbo mental VW, i think it would a awsome drivers car

I like the car but isn't it just the same MR GT40 with a mustang-ish front end? But then again,I think the evasive scion would be an awesome car to have it the game, but probably drive just like the Honda HSV.

I don't know the specifics on the car, but I would assume it's just a highly modified Mustang body on a Ford GT chassis.

I looked through all 516 photos of the build. This car was literally hand built from the gound up. The degree of craftsmanship that went into this build boggles my mind, and I've been in the Custom Car and Restoration business for over 30 years.

The depth of this build is nothing short of stunning. I've already read some detractors of this amazing car, but they are just a bunch of haters that cannot fully appreciate what it would take to build a car like this, so I really don't value their opinions anyway. Why would anyone reasonable?.........

^^ you do realize that a lot of the cars at SEMA get as much work and craftsmanship into them as that car? Usually depends on budgets and customers / owners ego. How badly they want to be the "it" car for a year or so. I for one do realize the amount of work that goes into a build like that. That is why I think it is a shame to cover it all up with a non flattering paint job, and put manhole covers for wheels on it.

The car kinda reminds me of the Lambo Miura at first glance.

I've actually never seen any car in all my years of experience that had got that much work put into it.
The car is nearly completely hand-built .

Have you looked at all 500+ pictures, or are you just shooting from the hip with your pat answers ? Also curious about your own actual experience in the field.

A Lot of the cars do....... Really?

I don't know the specifics on the car, but I would assume it's just a highly modified Mustang body on a Ford GT chassis.

Especially how they built the car. It gives that illusion that they did use a Ford GT's chassis. But this beast of a 'Stang is hand crafted. Which is amazing.

Great choice by Kaz. Its a truly unique car and really, its a wonderful idea.

👍

Can't wait to see it in GT6!

Now that's what I call custom . Seeing the cars at SEMA is a reason that I can't wait to get into this field of automotive greatness. Building and designing monsters for the dyno and track, being a piece of art at a show or both.

How was the interview, Jordan?
The interview went well. Though I could not ask any questions directly related to GT6, there were some interesting details revealed which I think will make some people very excited.

I'll have it up once I have time to transcribe the recording and write up the post.

I pray it's about customization. You'd think after all these SEMA events that Kaz attends, that we, gamers, would see great leaps in customization options. This hasn't yet been the case.

That's what I like to here! :dopey:

Nice to hear you had fun boss man.

Im calling vague innuendos that could mean anything. Lol. You get my drift guys.
Along the lines of hats falling off and destructible down to the last bolt if we want too.

👍

I am hoping it is a statement like 'I know GT5 was disappointing in many areas and GT6 will correct that with all premiums, more tracks including the list of originals that leaked plus many many request real world circuits, A-Spec will be 5 times larger than Gt5, better online features, more customization etc.'

Not hoping for too much right.:)

I can't wait to read all about Jordan. :D You rock! 👍

I am very anxious to read your interview post Jordan. Thanks for everything that you do for the GT Community.:)

Can you explain why you decided to introduce the experience point & leveling system in GT5, and do you expect to keep it in future games?

It’s always difficult to answer a question about why we chose to do something. When we design Gran Turismo, a lot of it is just based on what we feel is the right decision at the time. When GT5 was released it just felt right to have those experience points, and that’s why we did it. I don’t know what will feel right in future games.

-A good interview! But some answers just remain the same. I hope he considers some of the feedback from "we", the fans and not just "we" PD.
