Senna content coming soon?

Moreover, the death of Senna is probably linked to a malfunction of the FW16...

It was, the mechanics had been doing some modifications to the steering column to lengthen it the night before the race. The spot weld on it had failed, probably from the shock of the car bottoming out. If you have seen the onboard as he going into Tamburello, that is why the steering wheel had gone straight.

If some of you guy's see it's wrong to have the track and car update together, then don't download it if it's an update or buy it if DLC till whatever time you see appropriate passes.

But how can someone recreate that crash if the driver's in GT6 get no damage/harmed/inured ? .. And the car won't get damaged like it did in real life, no where close even.

Well we have the Auto Union that killed the test driver and nobody complained :)

Was the Auto Union released as part of a remembrance of that test driver? No. That is why it was okay to release it, and any other car or track at anytime you like, other that at the time you are commemorating the actual driver who was killed.

Why are so many people having so much trouble working this out for themselves?

I'm not sure, it seems a rather simple concept to me.

That isn't the issue here, we're just explaining why it would be wrong and why people should not get their hopes up or expect it (As some have done in the previous pages).

They don't need to, even without Imola itself, just including the car, people would drive it into walls and then let Adobe After Effects take over.

Irrelevant. They can, and do, things like that with game like RFactor already.

You don't have to watch those videos if others choose to make them, just like you don't have to watch Senna's real life fatal crash if you don't want to or if it bothers you.

The '94 Williams is a historic car, for good or for bad, and most of us here would like the opportunity to pilot it.

So would I, and releasing it in general would not be a problem, as I and others have explained numerous times. It would however be in poor taste (in many peoples eyes, and hopefully PDs) to release it as part of "Ayrton Senna Life Celebration" content.

I have an Idea ... Let's say your going into that turn 100mph+, and you decide to go straight instead of turning -on Imola-, PD can make the car stop/freeze at an invisible point just before the wall. But only if your going 100mph+ or whatever speed they want.

Because I was sober at that point?
Point is, I appreciate the Williams car and Imola. I think it needs Senna's family/foundation permission to do so. Just reference the crash on the description perhaps.

This is just weird.

Why can't people understand that, even if they themselves don't mind the car being added in a Senna pack, there are many, many fans who would be disgraced by it.

No one loves and respects Ayrton more than his family. If the track and the car that was in the crash are to be released, then I'm 100% sure the Senna family are fine with it. And if they are ok with it, so am I.

Are you serious?

I wish we could have Senna's first F-1 race references in the game.
The 1984 Toleman and Jacarepagua (Rio de Janeiro) track.

Amazing track design with beautiful landscapes.

Imola is where Senna took his first win for McLaren and started the biggest rivalry in F1 by ignoring an inter-team deal with Prost which both drivers had agreed too. Imola is an important track.
Yeah, but it doesn't seem right because he died there

Is this really difficult to understand? Look, Imola cannot be added because the DLC is supposed to celebrate his life and achievements, and giving us the car in which he was killed and the track he was killed at surely is not a celebration of his life. It is in bad taste and rather trivialises the gravity and seriousness of the incident. I'm not against the addition of Imola, but the obvious links between Senna and Imola cannot be escaped. It should be added in a separate context, away from this.

I'm with you buddy. I'm hoping next January PD can give us the Ferrari 312T4 and model Zolder, then do a Gilles Villeneuve tribute pack to go with the Williams/Imola/Senna content. :dunce::dunce:

Speaking of respect..if they went extra mile for Red Bull cars and wont for Senna's cars it means they don't care that much.

For me it could be only the Lotus and nothing else - if it would sound right then I would believe Kaz in his admiration for Senna.

Otherwise it's empty words. I really hope it's not the case.

what?
312T4 is the car with which Jody Scheckter won the 1979 World Championship

the car of 1982 it's the Ferrari 126C2 (awesome car:bowdown:, I want it:drool:)

Imola can be added no problem but adding it with the Senna content makes it weird and out of taste.

If it was separate then sure I would be fine with it.

I prefer the 312 but if we're looking for accurate F1 Death Packs, you're right.

muh morals

i wanna drive imola why should the senna brigade stop me

Because it's insulting to him through, effectively, trivialising the incident and making a game out of his death. In what mad world could that ever, ever be justified as good idea? Imola could always be added separately, but not in the context of a celebration of his life and achievements. I cannot understand why people don't see the addition of Imola in this pack as bad taste and completely unacceptable.
