Here we go!

imagrizzlybear / corvette / #87

Looking forward to this series! Great line up of cars / tracks.

Unfortunately I won't be able to attend the April 12th race but I almost certainly will be good for the other four. I hope this is ok @Brutaka, I understand if the grid is full you could choose to give my spot to someone who can attend all races.

Will we be using all the same race / lobby / driving aid specs as the apricot 100? Obviously tuning is permitted though! Lol!

Hope this turns into a full grid ;)

The same driving aids will be available as in the the Mazda race and tuning is open.

And @d3spy you will have access to TC, ABS, and i think the driving line.
Thank you, if those three are included I am very keen but could you give me the settings for the following too:
Penalties
Tyre/Fuel Depletion
Mechanical Damage
Slipstrem
Boost

Also will it be possible to book my slot but advise which car I would like to use after some testing?

Yes and also what tyre compounds are permitted?? :)

I had an idea for the pit situation that I'm thinking about for a possible race I am planning - compulsory compound change to racing mediums at the stop, any glitch will be minimised then...

For info the last enduro race I was involved in (Friday), GT500 700hp 48 laps @ Bathurst on fast tyre wear, cars that were achieving 12+ laps on first stint were down to four laps by the end of the race.

Wow, Thanks for that feedback! This would be minimised though as there would only be one stop for the strategic element, the tyres would probably hold up near enough the whole race on normal wear.

Also, @Brutaka. Restrict the cars before everyone picks the Corvette.

Good idea! I'm actually torn between the vette and R35. :nervous:

The bit of running I have done - the corvette suits grand valley and apricot hill but I think the R35 suits trial mountain and deepforest.

I think the Vette may have a tenth or two in terms of lap time but the R35 is so solid! One oversteer moment and that tenth or two means nothing!

Im testing to see if this is something I might be interested and I am interested in the vette. That said, if everyone picking the vette then that should tell you that its still too fast. Just my two cents

No, it's just that three people already picked it, and that might pass off the impression that it's really fast.

Pure lap time is not everything in any event! fuel usage, tyre wear, stability (chance of driving error etc.) are all things I try to consider when choosing a car.

I personally like a car that rotates a lot off throttle on corner entry, this is what attracted me to the vette originally, it does have a tendency to bite you back on exit though, hence my thoughts on the R35!

I picked it because it's one of my fav cars rather than for performance reasons. The cars will be evenly matched :)

Out of the three cars I tested, the vette was the car I preferred also for various reasons (although I have not finished my testing yet). Having participated in events that limited the options to 3-4 per car ended up with just those 3-4 cars racing by the time season was over as the other cars ended up not being comparable and its no fun being off the pace simply becuse you were forced to not pick the car you wanted to run. What would you rather have, a large field of majority being in the same car that produces a tighter field or only a few being in the same car with a small field.
