I've just started playing tonight using my Fanatec GT2 wheel and it feels great. I'm having an issue though. I cranked up the difficulty settings and noticed I only received XP and credits after my first race. I subsequent races tally 0 rewards at the end.

Some people on the official forums say the bug may only manifest itself when using a wheel.

I did have an issue on Road Atlanta. I paused to turn off race music and when I unpaused, I had no force feedback. I power cycled the wheel and feedback returned, but then I noticed the reward issue. I'm going to restart my console and gather more data, but I thought I'd get the word out.

I'm starting to think that it may happen if you don't check out your replay. I wasn't getting this at all but the one time I didn't watch a replay it happened.

My experience so far:

-Race 1: Received full credits and XP. Did not watch the replay.

-Race 2: No credits nor XP. Paused to turn off music, lost FFB. Restarted wheel to fix FFB. Didn't watch replay.

-Race 3: No credits nor XP. Watched a portion of the replay.

This only happens to me once every 5 or so races. But it's still kind of annoying. Especially after the grind that is 4 laps of Sedona Raceway(Oval) in an Audi Q7. Almost seems to happening entirely at random for me.

Already looking forward to the first patch, but other than my glow in the dark Cyclone and this I've been loving the game so far.

EDIT: And damn, I meant to type MintBerryCrunch for my name, but whatever, this works.

All I can say is that I hope this doesn't happen to me when I get my copy tomorrow. :nervous:

And that I hope they come out with a patch ASAP for those that it affects. :)

seems like for every race i run, i get 2 races with no credits. powering the wheel off and on before i started a race didnt do anything, and powering it off and on after a race (but before you collect your credits) didnt do anything either. This is a very odd bug.

This is very worrying, seems to be a FM4 / Fanatec bug. We need to let T10 & Fanatec know so that it can be looked at ASAP (I have just tweeted T10).

Since some people with Fanatec's are saying it's OK, but the bug certainly seems related to wheel users..

Can people post their exact setup, (pretty please... :))

Wheel:
Shifter Type:
Pedals:
Transmission in-game Setting : Auto/Manual/Manual+Clutch
Other In-game Difficulty Settings:
Viewed Replay:Yes/No
Saved Replay: Yes/No

It might help to see if there is a pattern..

thought i was on to something. id shut the wheel down after a race and turn on a controller before continuing on to collect my credits. got 2 races in a row w/ credits. third one, no dice. its so random.

I noticed the same bug myself yesterday but didnt pay to much mind until now. I am also using a wheel (fanatec GT2 Wheel)

I have a Fanatec GT2 and have not had this glitch occur. I am wondering to those that have problems, did you install Disc 1 to your hard drives as well? I haven't and everything seems fine, just a suggestion.

Fanatec GT2 w/clubsports. I did install disk 1. Had this happen to me about 50% of the time. I have not watched any replays. At first, I thought it had something to do with restarting races, but that does not seem to be it either. Just seems random.

Same here. I didn't install disk 1 and haven't had any problems at all. Running a Fanatec Turbo S. Just ran another 4 races this morning after running around 8 last night and haven't had a problem at all. Seems like it could be a problem with the disk 1 install.

Interesting link to the disk 1 install.

Could someone who has a .net account post the theory in the thread over there? That way we might be able to get a larger sample of users and see if the theory holds up.

A buddy with an old 20GB Xbox 360 who doesn't have room to install Disc 1 has also seen the 0 credit/XP problem, so that isn't the solution. The other forums had something about making changes to difficulty settings before each race, then changing them back before racing but haven't seen confirmation on that trick.

Absolutely. The more info the better. I really want to discover a pattern.

Wheel: Fanatec GT2

Shifter Type: Fanatec CSR 6+1

Pedals: Fanatec ClubSport

Transmission in-game Setting : Manual+Clutch

Other In-game Difficulty Settings: Sim steering, no aids, full damage, no racing line. Tried 2 events on easy and hard.

Viewed Replay:Yes and No, didn't matter.

Saved Replay: No.

Other info: Disc 1 is installed, then I installed disc 2 when prompted. I had a level 30 something Forza 3 profile and imported that. I received 40k credits via an email. A few unicorns were also imported. I've received credits and XP in my very first F Class race, and no others.

I guess we're relegated to online racing for now.

I'm still not entirely convinced that it's linked to anything in particular other than the wheel. I only watch the replay once in a while, and when I do I still get the payout like I normally do. It still seems to happen entirely at random for me.

Unless...could it be cause by certain cars? So far it's only happened to me in the Audi Q7 and 2 others I can't remember. I don't remember the other 2 cars and I'd need to check my garage to refresh my memory, but I'm pretty sure the 3 times it happened to me it was the only time I drove whatever car I was in. When I play later I'll test the Q7 and see if it's consistently causing the problem.

I mean, if it's happening multiple races in a row for some people, and not at all for others, it could be the case. So try and remember what cars you were driving when this happened, and did you ever receive a payout while driving that car?

Either way, I'm not going anywhere near an endurance race until this is sorted out.

Looks to be a serious issue, I haven't raced anything yet, but I think I'll wait until this gets sorted out before I do.

^And that's what makes me think it's a bug with certain cars.
Maybe the people who haven't experienced this have just been lucky enough to avoid whatever cars might cause it.

Still need to test it to make sure the cars are even responsible.
