OH.GOD.YES! I finally managed to pass that goddamn Miami event myself yesterday... not my 500th try but surely way over a 100 too. Biggest problem were those goddamn exploding tires - on the Drift Alliance 240ZX after 3 laps, you can not be serious, SMS!
I wasnt even amped up to finally pass this POS event, just glad it was over.
I was "amped" to just put it behind me. Everybody told me to drop the 240ZX, but I just didn't want to bother. I tried a few of the other cars in my garage, but for whatever reason, the 240 was the car that got me closest to the 3rd place score. Like you, a bunch of blown tires later, it was a thing of the past.
Perhaps 500 attempts was a bit of an exaggeration, but It sure felt like that.
Glad someone understands my joy.
