Should Bspec be Cut?

That green portion will be less than a pixel wide once this thread gets going.

I'm all for a multiplayer-only GT6, since the AIs don't provide a challenge at all, except for THE UNREALISTIC RABBITS in seasonal events. But seeing how I doubt I will buy a PS4 just for GT6, I'll let PD decide whether they want to destroy this series.

No, they should leave it in, just not make it a separate mode that you're required to complete to 100% the game.

Bspec remote races are fine. The Bspec seasonals are fine. But having a completely separate portion of the game dedicated to Bspec is just dumb. Make it like it was in GT4, usable as an optional way to run a race and nothing more.

I miss the days when he was my co-driver in those long races. I want it moved back to how it was in GT4. And it does not deserve it's own huge full section of the game like it has in GT5. But that said, I'd be quite sad to see it go away in GT6.

Make it like GT4. There if you need it, out of the way if you don't.

My goal for GT6 will be to never race the AI. I hope it will have B-spec and remote racing so I can fund my on-line addiction.

It needs to be both expanded and shrunk.

Expanded in that it's more than just three arrows to pick from and you mindlessly watching your driver do some boring event. Also being integrated into certain elements of A-spec like endurance racing and possibly practice mode (your B-spec drivers can do laps around the track with you).

Shrunk, in that it doesn't need to be half the game (when compared to launch and the A-Spec events). Focus on exciting events that differ from the A-spec ones.

Yes!

Remove the entire B-spec...

Rather focus on making A-spec better, with more races and such...
What's the point of more A-spec races when the AI sucks? And before you say they should improve the AI, that's what they've tried to do since the first game, without success. The truth is that racing against AI is an outdated concept, but that's another discussion.

Sorry for going OT.

PD should integrate B-Spec into A-Spec so you can switch between the two on the fly. It should work by the more you drive, the more your BSpec drives like you. If you choose to do the game from scratch using a BSpec driver then, the driver gets better every race. Maybe something can be added by sharing BSpec drivers with online friends that have a stronger BSpec drivers in their line-up. I hope we don't have to play the game twice like the way it is now(Seasonal levelling up just erased the need to play B-Spec, unless you really, really need to have that prize car). Anyways, PD should get rid of the separate B-Spec in Simulation Mode.

I though my Bobs already did start to emulate my style, moreso as they progressed...a closer copy would always be welcome though - especially when added as competitor in A-spec alongside the borrowed Bobs of your friends.

So I vote yeah - keep it.

I feel its more of the computer program actually applying full throttle and be prompted to overtake more than driving the way us humans do.

No. What they should do is improve it, simple. Make the player more involved in the race, so they don't seem to be just babysitting the drivers. Moreover, B-spec and A-spec could be put together. Your B-spec driver could be your teammate, for example.

What about if there was Online Bspec Racing? Like if you put your bobs online and have them race against other peoples bobs. It would be kind of like remote racing but it doesn't have to be against your friends bobs and you could do many different kinds of racing. Pretty much, it would be the same as the open lobbies but it's Bspec.

It needs to go back to the way it was in GT4. For endurance races, it's nice not to have to drive the entire race. They don't do it in real life, so why do we have to in GT5? And then we have to sit and watch our bobs do their own 24 hour races? No thanks.

So again I think it should stay, but integrated into A-spec a la GT4. And the stupidity of our bobs needs to be fixed. It would be nice to watch them not wreck at the chicane in Monaco every frickin' time they attempt to pass someone there. At lower levels, okay, it's going to happen occasionally. But a level 35 bob doing it over and over? Ridiculous.

Nearly forgot to mention controlling the bobs, too. I shouldn't have to keep pressing "maintain pace" or whatever it's called. If I hit it once, they should continue at that pace unless they get into traffic or I tell them otherwise.

What's the point of B-spec, when the AI sucks there aswell?

I don't want to sit and press some button's and watch the AI drive crash around all day.
I'd rather do the driving myself.

For me, B-spec is useless and to be honest, pointless.
And before you say they should improve the AI, that's what they've tried to do since the first game, without success.
Not only could/should they improve the AI (A-spec), but they should add more various events with more regulations and more cars on tracks at the same time, among other things.

But as you said, that's for another discussion.

They can let the whole B-Spec thing as long as you can fast foward the races like in gt4, I really miss doing the Le Mans and Nürburg races in 9-10 hours instead of 24
But I find it quite entertaining as it is in GT5, I consider myself as a manipulative person and I love giving orders :D

wow, I'm genuinely surprised the results are nearly 50/50 with cut it having only a slight advantage.

I'd have guess that it would have been a landslide in favor of cutting Bspec. Had no idea that so many people enjoyed it. Everyone I know irl never uses it at all.

Always nice to be surprised!

Implement it much closer to the GT4 system rather than padding the game length like in GT5 and there is no reason to remove it.
