Of course the Veyron should be a premium car. It's one of the most important cars of past years and I doubt we're likely to see another such a feat for many many years.

McLaren F1.
SSC Aero TT
Ferrari's "New Enzo (2013)

I could list more. There a lot of cars that approached the and/or beat the Veyron, and it didn't need 4 turbos, 16 cylinders, or an AWD system to do.

You know, in france we say you cannot have the butter and the money of the butter sale... the veyron does that.
It gives tons of torque through technical complexity to allow to overcome the physics harshness at ultra high speed that makes weight paying an enormous toll. To me, a big luxury car of 1.9 tons is not comparable to a near-race specs car like an Enzo, a F1 or a SSC Aero that weighs 1.1 to 1.4 tons. Did they need cm thick leather everywhere, persian carpets etc no, of course not, they just deemed interesting to try to create a new car concept of ultra luxury made fast but very stable and undramatic at top speed, and easy to drive. That why i longed for a premium Veyron.

I would like to vote "yes", but the poll seems to be closed. One of my favorite pieces of automotive genius and art. Sadly, I believe, as I am sure most of you do as well, that the Veyron not being Premium has more to do with Bugatti than Sony/Polyphony Digital. They most likely do not want us to be able to see damage deformation or be able to customize rims, racing mods, etc. but will still let us drive it. That is more than Porsche is willing to do with the levels of realism this game creates (not even getting into the other licensing obstacles).

Yes but you've missed my point. I'm not saying it's better than any of those cars. It's not. I'm not even talking about how fast it goes specifically. But from an engineering standpoint, the Veyron is a milestone. From the materials used on it to getting that monster of a car to even handle as well as it does and hit the speed it can with it's weight etc and still feel rock solid at top speed and with all it's luxury etc. It's a landmark achievement regardless of what you think of the car.

No matter how great it looks but since now Veyron appeared in couple of Video games, i my self had this chance to drive Veyron in Shift and SCC, in both games this car was rubbish in every way :( Acceleration was similar to CCX which was way much better in handling in corners and very close to compare in acceleration.

We all should wonder how this delicate matter of handling would be solve in Gran Turismo 5 ? The game is ready so there is nothing to change now and only days left before game hits our homes. I am seriously worry.

I never liked the veyron, it's nothing special to me and it doesn't push any real boundrys of automotive design, it's just not my cup of tea. I still voted yes though as i think all cars should be premium.

As long as the spoiler comes up at high speeds, I think it will be okay. In Forza 3, you HAD to buy a spoiler for it (which makes the car even uglier) and it does not automatically go up when you hit a certain speed (like GTPSP)

Now that i've heard what it sound's like, :ouch: Let's just say it definitely deserves to be premium. There's alot bias going on in this game, as there's always been with GT's. But the Veyron? Probably one of the most ground breaking road cars in History..Is not premium? But a Civic type R is? Come on Kaz...

And it's not like it hasn't been out for awhile. So they can't say they didn't have the time to model it. There's only 2 thing's that are bugging me with GT5. And that's the Veyron not being premium. And not being able to change wheel's on standard car's.

Let's just hope for DLC :nervous:

Honestly, i don't care whether the Veyron is premium or not. Mind you i love the car, and for Bugatti to make the worlds fastest car is absolutely amazing! but I honestly think that Kaz should have either made every car premium or no car premium! Or if he was going to make cars premium, at least do it to the racing cars so that people don't get mad that a civic is premium while a Mercedes isn't

Veyron needs to be premium. It makes no sense to have a car like that as a standard, especially when it's new to the series (besides GTPSP). In addition, it's interior is beautiful and luxurious. I was really looking forward to the cockpit view in that thing.

Well on the positive note there is nothing special about the cockpit of Veyron. The LFA lexus has a very beautiful cockpit and we will all see it in the game

Nothing special? Yeah, what an eyesore.

Well it looks great but compared to Lexus LFA, Ferrari 458, and Mercedes SLS '10, there is not contest. LFA, 458 and SLS looks much better. I wanted the Veyron so bad especially the new 2011 Veyron Super sports but we cannot do anything about the Tank Veyron not being on the Gt5 as premium but we can always think of the positives, that other cars looks great and perform much better( well honestly Veyron does not handle well if you compete this car on race tracks with a lot of curves like Suzuka or Laguna Seca, this car will even lose to a Nissan GT-R )

LFA: (if you saw the actual LFA dashboard, it is so advance)

To be hones't i think it's gorgeous, i don't see how an SLS look's better than a Veyron, not even the 458. Plus, when you can go 250+ your far from worrying how it look's. :sly:

Also the Veyron's interior is preportioned alot better than the 458 and SLS. Typical of a Mercedes it looks highly complicated in there, and what's with all tho's knobs to the left of the shifter? Same with the 458, Theres alot going on in there. As a "place to be" i think the Veyron would be the nicest. Everything you need, nothing you don't.

I'm not a huge die hard fan of the car, but when there are 5 skylines and civics that are P than this thing has to be... My guess is they didn't want to bother modeling the interior, lol.

I don't think i will be racing the veyron that much honestly, so i wont be missing much. It's not that great car to drive... except in a straight line of course :D

i agree , maybe if there is a drag racing mode in straights it will be effective, but for competitive racing like in Suzuka, Laguna Seca, this car will even lose to a Nissan GT-R or worse a Evolution

I watched on lap Donnington a couple of years back and it was bloody fast round the track for a road car on road tyres driven by a non race driver. Yes it was way off the pace of the GT cars and just slower than our Global GT but that's a single seater on race slicks, an evo wouldn't touch it, I don't know about the new GT-R as that's a hell of a car with the new track pack.

I'm not so sure about the carbon updates in the last pic  but the Veyron has always had a top notch interior in my opinion.

Bugatti interior has the DOM or old rich man feel to it, no offense. It does not have that celebrity or playboy feel to it which we expect on super cars.

I finally unlocked the Veyron on GTPSP (hoping to transfer it to GT5) and I'm *extremely* displeased with its performance. I couldn't even get it up to speed on the test track, and cornering was painful. I do still believe it should be premium since it is a notable car, but there are easily 50 race cars in GTPSP that I'm going to pick over it every time, and sure enough, they're all standard too.

Why is this even a question? Of course it should be premium. Its arguably one of the most important cars to be released in the last decade (from a technical standpoint, at least).
The only reason this car is standard is because PD ran out of time to fully model the interior . . . or some other silly reason (licensing, availability, cost).

Yes, I wish it were premium but its not, so whatever . . I'm over it.

its a notable car hopefully it will be premium at some point. so i voted yes. do i like the car no, i do like the 1000hp though

I think the Veyron should remain standard. It`s got a lot of hp, but that`s it. The Veyron is not really that fast when going on a track, considering the engine output. I wouldn`t want to race with it.

And i think it`s great that Polyphony make the Veyron standard. It clearly shows that they are not really that focused on the cars currently featured in the magazines or other games.
