I made a quick trip to Barnes & Noble during my lunch break. I didn't know what I was going to buy until I saw this.

The (mostly) newest additions to my collection of stupid media things:

I grabbed the 2 Armored Core games a little while ago before all the Armored Core titles spiked WAYYY the hell upwards, and the Japanese Ace Combat games just came in the mail today.

God, this hobby is just as much annoying as it is oddly satisfying. :irked:

Also, look, it's meh belleh.

Can I be the idiot that asks why those coordinates go to New York City Hall instead of Yankee Stadium? I get that City Hall technically IS New York but still.
Not sure TBH. I didn’t look them up 😂

Edit

Apparently the City Hall is picked as the main building for NY City. They haven’t chosen the Yankees Stadium.

Weird as I’d have expected the Stadium too for a Yankees Shirt.

Nothing wrong with it, it was just unexpected. :)

Thanks to @opelgt1969, I now own this vintage Archie comics glass. Other than needing a good clean, it's in excellent shape.

Big Moose, Reggie, and Midge. Big Moose is angry because Midge is his girl, but Reggie is always hitting on her.

Archie, Jughead, and Ethel. She's had a crush on Jughead since 1962 (sadly for her, Jughead was aro-ace before aro-ace was cool.)

Glad you liked it, when I saw it in the basement I thought of how much you would like it. Not sure where it came from or who bought it or if was a promo thing.

I picked up some incense from a local smoke shop. I like this brand and buy them often. I had to go to a hardware store to get the matches. I can’t find them anywhere else. They’re not in grocery stores, convenience stores, drug stores, or even smoke shops which you would think would be the single most obvious place to buy matches. Nope. I can only find them in hardware stores.

I have to cable manage everything, but so far so good.

Couple of things of note here that have really pissed me off with Fanatec. I don't want this to become a rage blog so I'll keep it short.

Quality control? Impeccable.
Build quality? Great. So great in fact, that if you ever need to modify your modular system, you're screwed.

For one, everything is over torqued from the factory. When you need to loosen something, you risk breaking a head or stripping a thread.

Secondly, the threads themselves have no depth whatsoever. I had to open up my universal hub to move the button modules in order to fit the deep dish rim.

You have four bolts in total. Two at the back, and two long ones near the control module at the top of the hub.

Those long bolts have about 20mm worth of thread on them. The mounting holes themselves, have literally three millimeters to work with.

So when I tightened everything back up again, the threads inside my hub on one of the long bolts gave out. I hadn't even reached maximum torque yet. It had just started to grab when it gave out.

So now my hub is only held on by three screws. 🤞🏻 nothing breaks down the line.

The only thing I wanted for Christmas was to overhaul my rig/wheel setup. It cost me a pretty penny but I had no problem paying for it.

I have no experience with DD wheels or load cell pedals, but I have to say so far it’s exceeded expectations. Moza equipment seems pretty well priced compared to Fanatec, and the quality seems just as good. Highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade.

For reference I now have a Moza R9 base, GS wheel, and SRP pedals. The rig is from 6sigma racing.

Congratulations!!!!

A book I ordered from Barnes and Noble came in today. Bunny Yeager was a successful beauty queen and pinup model in the early 1950s. She decided to take up photography to save her some money. She ended up being one of America's greatest pinup photographers of the 1950s/60s. This books collects a lot of unpublished photos she took on a working vacation in Mexico in 1966.

She took a lot of photos of one of the biggest pinup models of all time, Bettie Page, if I'm not mistaken.

You are not mistaken. A book of her photos of Bettie Page is something else I need to add to my collection.

These are some of my most recent purchases.

A couple months back when I thought I broke a controller, I bought a used, purple PS5 controller from gamestop to see if that works. It didn't. I later figured out it was because of the bluetooth frequency being the same as the duplex I was staying at between moves. and I didn't use wired internet as there wasn't a port in the room.

I decided to just keep the controller anyway as I liked the color. and then, I later bought another controller from Gamestop as they had a sale.

I later on traded in the 2 PS5 games I didn't want for store credit at Gamestop and used that to buy 2 other PS5 games.

and I bought one of these SSDs for my PS5 as I was running out of room. It's 2TB of space, so it should be enough for a while. Though if I run out again, I think I'll just get an external hdd next time.

My so-called "Apple Ecosystem" has been pretty dated for a while now, so I've been debating... do I buy a new Macbook to replace my aging and slowly disintegrating mid-2014 MacBook Pro, or do I buy a new iPad to replace my old Air 2?

Well, I finally made my choice...
