I just got the last of the 12 Sailor Moon books. Ten regular and two Sailor V.

Made some selfish impulse buys for the holidays.

Jamo S 803 HCS.

On their own, everything above 60Hz is clear, articulate, and spacious. Hooked up to a Yamaha TSR-700 with a flat EQ in a 14'X18' room, the highs are a bit bright for some music, but are great for movie dialogue and effects. Needs a sub. Bass fizzles out hard with hip-hop, EDM, and heavy explosions.

I don't know if the set is worth the $554 from the Jamo site or the $349 high on Amazon. It might be worth the $249 that's more common. Definitely worth it if you can get the set for under $200. Grabbed the black for $189. Seen the white as low as $169.

Also picked up:

Brawndo's got what affordable home theater systems crave.

As a loose boxer wearer my whole life, I got tired of the inevitable wedgies I get wearing regular fit work
trousers.

I purchased some close fit sports underpants and I feel like a new man.

I was expecting restriction, but they’re unnoticeable.

I don’t have pics, unless I get someone to take a photo of me in my skinnies. Nobody wants that. Trust me.

And we don't want to see as we can't unsee things.

After a few years of saving and waiting on deals and sales, I've finally capped off the major purchases to complete my desk. Just a few small things left like cable management, headset hangers, and I should probably find something to replace the books.

Finally found and bought a monitor arm capable of supporting the weight of the Odyssey G9(look how chunky the tilt spring is), though I had to use bolts at the rear and a few books at the front to stop the shelf from flexing too much with the arm fully extended.

And after getting the arm set up, I drove to Microcenter to get this surprisingly sturdy collapsable "sim rig" that sits just high enough to fit perfectly within the monitor arm's reach.

And finally, I've always wanted a high-end long-term office chair, and Herman Miller had a pretty substantial black Friday deal going, so after watching more chair review videos than any one person should, I cannibalized a chunk of my "non-essential" savings and recently received the Herman Miller Logitech Embody.

It's not as comfy as the old cushy chair when reclining, but it's some sort of magic when sitting up and working/gaming. The thing is somehow shockingly solid and perfectly compliant all at the same time, I genuinely miss this chair when I have to sit in the (still fairly comfortable) ones at work. Spent 6 hours in it a few days ago and when I stood up I swear my spine felt less stiff than when I sat down. Still not sure if I'd pay full price for it, but with 30% off I'm more than happy with it.

Been wanting a delay pedal for a while. Went with the JHS 3 Series Delay and I'm really happy with it! 😁

Heard lots of good reports about JHS's 3 series. Enjoy.

I've been considering getting the 3 series tremelo to round out my board. Only JHS pedal I have is the Ratpack and it's absolute killer.

My favorite artist launched a Bandcamp campaign to press her latest album on vinyl. It reached it’s goal in 45 minutes. I don’t even have a record player, but this is the first physical release from her so I had to get it. Probably gonna frame it.
It came today!

Edit: Came with a code for the digital album. I already have it so free for anyone who wants it.

I picked up a few livestreams from The Mads. I missed Teenagers From Outer Space and The Brain That Wouldn't Die when they were first broadcast. They were both riffed by Mystery Science Theater 3000 back in the day. I'm looking forward to these new riffs. And I've pre-ordered their next broadcast, A Night of Shorts X.

Comcs! I got a few big ticket items I wanted since they were on sale, like the Red Sonja art books and graphic novel. The second (of three) Wonder Woman Historia graphic novels was on sale as well. Only $1.99 versus normally $7.99.

Picked up the Daniel Craig collection. I had the first 4 films on Blu-ray but really wanted the last one too as I really enjoyed it. So it made sense to pick up the set on 4K (well it did in my head anyway)

Also ordered the doggo an Equafleece in Mulberry. It’s made from Polartec so should be fantastic for the colder weather when he’s just walking and running around like a man possessed.

Pic of the doggos is not mine and is from the site.

Your doggo is much cuter!
We have a sweater (hideous ugly Christmas sweater) for Carl. He actually wants to wear it on cold days. He’ll grab it and say “let’s go”.
Good investment for both of us.
