My Ebbro collection continues and I finally got a R34 JGTC car and of course it had to be the Calsonic GT-R. It's the one from the 1999 Championship to be precise (basically the one in GT2).

and I had to take a picture of it next to my 1998 Calsonic.

and I forgot to post this as it came in the mail last week; the 1995 Denso Sard Supra JGTC. I loved this livery.

I did some more spending:

I needed more space on my computer and decided to go big. Mainly because I have an addiction to AC modding (yup, it's a problem), record a lot of Youtube videos, and I still want more space for other games. I wanted to try some mods for some Resident Evil games for instance.

I bought this aswell as the price looked good and it was on sale like with the hard drive. $7 for a 64GB flash drive, I can't believe how cheap this kind of storage has become. The same with the hdd I bought, I think I paid a similar price for that as the 128 GB HDD I got for my X360 slim years ago.

I finally asked my friend to borrow his Oculus Rift for a few weeks and I really enjoyed using it, so...

The passthrough is great, and I can actually wear my glasses under this one with no fogging up or anything. Truly amazing that it basically just works without any sensors or anything. It even seems to work pretty damn good with PCVR entirely wireless, though I bought the link cable too anyway

My other JGTC Skyline popped up in the mail this week, an Ebbro 1/43 Scale Model of the 2000 Loctite Zexel GT-R. I might make it my goal to eventually collect all of the JGTC cars I've seen in the Gran Turismo games at least.

Also, I bought these online aswell all for $83 after taxes. I just don't have them yet, but I promise to take pictures of them together myself once they come in the mail.

The same for this, though the wait is going to be long and I can't wait for it either! My very own 2000 Castrol Tom's Supra.

18 sheets of OSB so my garage now has walls.

Spent all of yesterday and about 5 hours today putting that stuff up. Taking the rest of the weekend off, lol.

Oh God I shudder to think how much that cost you. I don't know how the lumber market is in your country but here it's far from cooling off. In fact, they've started to normalize the inflated prices because contractors had deadlines to meet and most homeowners/business decided to just swallow the cost and finish whatever project they had initially started.

So now we're looking at $86/sheet of OSB :guilty:

Holy crap. My local Lowes has 143 sheets of 1/2" in stock for about $11 each.

The standard half-inch LP-brand builders-grade junk I used is currently $11 a sheet at Lowes and Home Depot. 36 sheets (18 on the walls, 18 on the ceiling) of of that and one sheet of 3/4 at double the cost was what I ended up using for the entire interior.

Having my garage built in the first place was the cost that killed me, since I did it in 2021, lol.

I still have half my own house to remodel. I’ve pretty much excepted that lumber and other materials aren’t going to go down in price. But I refuse to overpay by 50% for labor. Patience is a virtue, and although I hate to be selfish by saying the following….

BUT, the recession is going to trickle down to the trades soon enough. Hopefully I’ll be able to do my kitchen by this time next year

That's a really nice collection of Ebbro JGTC cars, man. Seeing them has reminded how much i want to get the Ebbro 2003 Calsonic R34 Skyline (my favourite JGTC Skyline). I don't really collect scale models anymore (my love for Hot wheels 1/64 etc, has long gone), but i have a few of the JGTC Toyota MR-S' (Ebbro). Can't wait to see more of your collection all together when the other cars arrive.

Thanks and man, the 2003 Calsonic GT-R would be a great addition to my collection one day. That and the Xanavi Nismo from that year.

Cool though that you still have a MR-S JGTC, I liked the Autobacs one that was in Gran Turismo 3-6. and yeah, I want to keep going. One goal of mine is to try collecting a lot of the JGTC cars that were in the Gran Turismo games or a similar one. That and I have a slight urge to complete my 1998 JGTC GT-R collection.

Being my birthday today, it was a great day for me to get these in the mail. As I promised; here's pictures of the Super GT cars I got.

Ah, my first test car livery and with a Nissan Z.
20230517_175229.jpg

and I feel kinda silly now as I thought the Clarion car was a GT-R. I didn't know that Clarion sponsored the Z prior to that (though my knowledge of JGTC & Super GT is still casual tbh), still a cool buy.

It's a clean looking, white livery. I like it.
20230517_175521.jpg

and this was the main draw of the pack to me, the Denso Sard SC430.
20230517_175405.jpg

Like I did with the Calsonic Skylines, here's a group shot of the Denso Sard SC430 with my 1995 Denso Sard Supra.

I also quite like the livery design on the Eclipse SC430. This is rather cool.

and lastly this Open Interface Tom's SC430.

Overall, I think that was a well-spent purchase. Especially since I'm seeing listings for some of these on Ebay for the price I paid for as a pack.

2 of the last few Ebbro cars I ordered came in the mail today, so now I can show them.

2001 Takata Dome NSX in really good shape and they packaged it like crazy.

Another well-packaged car, the 2000 Esso Ultron Supra in its awesome Tiger livery.

I’ve been spending on my cardboard crack addition, aka Pokémon TCG.

Of 200 cards I picked up, I’ll keep around 10-20 and donate the duplicates to school kids to sell for pocket money.

My daughter and I only keep one copy of each unique card.

New Comic Book Wednesday. Thanks to a conversation with @UKMikey about the character Li’l Jinx from Archie Comics, I did a little research and discovered that about ten years ago she had her own mini series and a graphic novel. So those immediately went on my buy list.

I picked up my new bike today; a Santa Cruz Hightower 3 CR in translucent purple so you can see the carbon through the paint in some areas. I'm booked in at the local bike park to give it a blast tomorrow

Seriously nice bike, how is it to ride? I rode my brother's Hightower 2 recently and rented a V10 at a bike park. Very impressed by Santa Cruz bikes, just can't afford one myself.
