Which thread is that? I went over to his house and played CoD:WaW. That thing is a BEAST. 👍 And we didn't even have ATI Overdrive on. We don't have it hooked up to net yet because he doesn't have an antivirus software for vista. Any recommendations?
I use Nod32.

500 GB My Passport Elite Portable Hard Drive

The drive is so small and thin (about the same size as an iPhone) and quiet. 👍

MildAshers
Mass Effect

Play it first. Seriously. Probably in my top 10 games ever.

Here's what I got:

Not bad for a game that costs $57 new on Amazon! Uncharted is ranked #1 on my list for "Games that are awesome but only have mediocre demos" I have a few others on that list but I can't remember any...

I use AVG Free 8.0, never had an issue using any AVG free software.

Right, my latest purchases:

inq.jpg

The INQ. Technically not a purchase but a free upgrade. It comes with 75 any network anytime minutes, unlimited texts, unlimited 3 to 3 calls, unlimited Skype and unlimited internet. All for £15 a month. And if it turns out to be horrible, I can just shut it away in a cupboard and enjoy the unlimited stuff on the K800i they let me keep.

Only had a play in the shop (as it's currently on its first charge), but it seems pretty promising. All I can comment on so far is the packaging, which is pretty top notch :P

And that, because why the hell not.

Good choice 👍 I've got a last-gen Passport and it's been fantastic. I've partitioned it 3 ways with no problems at all, and used it for everything from storing raw video to video games (I actually run TDU straight off it with no problems).

Hard drive and case arrived last monday:

LG-Groove_550.jpg

LG NX550 mobile phone.

Bought it 10 days ago... and it's already broken. It has trouble turning on - I have to hold down a button (seems to be the down navigation key) for the duration of the start-up sequence, otherwise the startup sequence gets stuck at the LG logo screen. Plus it has trouble turning off, where holding the END key restarts the phone instead of turning it off. And it occasionally throws a hissy-fit at the microSD and won't read it. To top it off, sometimes the camera throws a spaz and everything ends up all green and pink. :grumpy:

It worked fine two days ago.

well, since i'm a fire alarm fan, i got these:

pretty loud combination horn/strobe. they're pretty common here in TX. mine's the white one in the middle.

finally, i got one of these. got it with the Gentex Commander 3 above($80.45 total price tag!!)

this one's pretty nice. it's a speaker/strobe, and it can be used for more than just fire protective use(it's connected to my computer right now... i can't have it next to my screen, because it messes with the screen; the electromagnet/transformer/whatever-the-hell-it-is is exposed on the back, so i have to keep it on the floor.)

There's no such thing as being too safe though

Altough I do agree in that I've never heard of a fire-alarm junkie before either.

I gotta say, and not in an offensive way at all, but being a firealarm junky is the strangest thing I've heard of in a long time.

Especially since your collection should burn by design in the event of a fire. Kind of ironic.

The seventeam brand seems pretty new. How is it working for you?
No problems at all so far. I already had a 350W Seventeam PSU on my old rig which is also working fine but I think it's too weak for this new rig.

Seventeam it's not so new around here, I heard of them a good while ago. It's a good brand, though not as good as Cooler Master or Corsair PSU's.

Don't forget, he's getting about $100k to spend on a $10k 2009 Ford Ranger and the guys at Ford's WRC team are gonna put a rally engine in it for him and he'll be sponsored by Fire-Lite. Or he might rally a Smart, or Camry, or maybe a Veyron if he can find Bugatti's number.

Did your mom let you have the PS2 back yet, Simplex?

Put it as close to your hard drive as possible.

Not really fair to call it my purchases, it was a B-Day present from my wife. Had to throw in a couple bucks to make up the difference but I love this chair. It's the bomb yo!

It's great for those late night :gtplanet: moderating tasks, or intense gaming sessions that last 4-6 hours at a time. :)

Makes me want to get the Ocean's movies, quite good.

I picked up this the other day...
