Yeah, vinyl looking things just don't work for me... Not big on shiny or smooth looking surfaces, prefer a dull flat look...

Still, they are a neat and good idea, even if they carry a premium price.

I didn't know that these existed until I received it as a gift for Christmas....:)
'It has come in handy'

Sorry about the bad web-cam pics .....:guilty:

This is not the actual piano, but it looks pretty much the same. I couldn't find an image showing the complete piano.

The piano was build in 1884, thus more than a 120 years old. Dad refuses to say the price he bought it for, but it hasn't been used in 25 years so after the piano has gotten used to the climate in the room, someone's coming over to tune it again 👍

It's still in lovely shape. No scratches whatsoever, and it still shines like it were a brandnew one!

After a co-worker spent most the shift reminding me how great it was, and then reeling me in with it only being £4.50 delivered from HMV, it had to be done.

Caravan Club ending is hilarious. Good value at that price.👍

Just bought a Freitag. I think you've got to know about these to appreciate them. The explanations seem to get a "yeah, so?" reply from most people. Basically, it's made of used freight truck tarps, used car seatbelts and old bike innertubes. Recycling at its highest style.

Oooh, I quite like that. Not so impressed with the price of those messenger bags though... It's surprising how comfortable seatbelts are as bag straps, actually. My Crumpler uses one, and it's genuinely the most comfortable bag I've ever owned. Which is saying something considering it has all 3 tonnes of my laptop and books placed purely on my left shoulder.

That's awesome. I'm assuming it doesn't have a dehumidifier built in. Is Norway dry?

just got a Whelen strobe kit... irony is, i have no car to put it in :D (hopefully my future Volvo 240 rally car).

Speaking of that. My car does have a Whelen strobe kit on it, but I need to buy some sort of module for it to work. Damnit. At least I still have wig wags.

Picked up a E8600 Core 2 Duo to slap in for some serious overclocking.

Managed to get a bench with a 2000mhz FSB at 5ghz on a 3.33ghz chip. Had to run the core voltage at 1.6  but I was being brave.

5Ghz was the highest I could run it at. Back to stock for bit.

It has. It's inside it, you have to place a cup of water into it. Since the owner hasn't played it for 25 years, he said "And look, you can even drink coffee when playing it"!

It is beautiful though, got up this morning, and the first thing I saw when coming into the living room was a shiny beautiful old brown piano. It costed only 600 dollars, it's freagin' 125 years old!

Friend of mine parents had one, clutch went pretty quick on it (sub 30K on the clock). After the garage first said it was a "wear-and-tear" they did a quick reversal when they realised/remembered/occured/struck them like lightening it was automated  Otherwise, no complaints.

Seems to be that I've pretty much wrapped up the deal with my Dad and brother for this.

I haven't got it yet, it should arrive sometime this coming week. Also, nice purchase Giles! Makes a change to all that nice camera equipment, although this time it's a nice car...

I never knew what overclocking really ment because I would sit there and look at my specs. Too worried about messing up my system before.

Al Gore could do with one of those by the sounds of it.

I didn't even know pianos came with a dehumidifier. My mom has had one my whole life and nothing remotely like that was ever done. The only thing she did was keep it away from exterior walls. And Kentucky is fairly humid.

And my purchases:

bioshock-ps3.jpg

Best Buy had it on sale for $29.99. I had a $30 gift card from Christmas. That worked out well, I think. So far I am loving the story and gameplay. Definitely better than traditional shooters. Although I did get a HOLY 🤬 moment when I was picking something up from a table just as steam or fog blew out of a vent. I turned around right as it was clearing and there was a dude just standing there with a pipe in hand getting ready to hit me. I let him have a good taste of my wrench for his troubles. Seriously though, every enemy up to that point made some sort of noise, usually angry, before attacking.

And while I was there:

My wife and I also bought a number of songs for SingStar from the SingStore, all because we saw that they added Weird Al Yankovic's "Like a Surgeon."
