I was constantly playing the demo and decided to buy it. I definately need some practice.
Nice purchase Giles 👍
Bit of a spree this weekend.

Something I've been waiting over 10 years to own ... and finally I've bought one. It's a CRG Kalifornia kart, with a 125cc Leopard engine. Got it 2nd hand, at only 3 months old. I'm now about to join a karting club in WA (Clubman class), so I can finally make my start in motorsport. 👍👍 Can't wait for it to arrive!

Where the hell are you getting all this money to buy this stuff? Loans? Parents? Some other unknown source of income I'm not aware of?
Hamilton and fellow F1 drivers started karting at 3.
Are you sure?
Is that online compatible? I think I might get that regardless. I liked the demo of Hot Shots Golf 3. It's so addicting.

I have a job.
I have a job. . The overall package is a bit over $8000, but I payed $4,500... which really isn't that much for a 3 month old italian-built kart.
And yeah, shame I missed that 10 year gap. I've been playing Gran Turismo for a bit over 10 years though... so maybe that will have to make-do.
But I didn't think you got payed all that much really. That's why I asked.
True. Even though Formula one is way out of question, I'd still love to advance into bigger forms of motorsport, such as Formula Ford. The guy at work started when he was about my age also, and he currently races Historic Formula 2 cars. Even though it's not actually a motorsport career. No body is ever to old to do anything, well in sports racing i have to agree, that experience is everything.

It is and plays like a dream.
The lobby system (which is an actual club house with different floors and rooms - a kind of Hot Shots Home) and tournament set-up work very well and setting up quick matches with friends and others is quick and easy.
Here's what the lobby looks like...
...get a USB keyboard for chat - its much easier.
The only grumble I had was that I had to run two updates before it would go on-line (which you are prompted to do when you try and go on-line for the first time) and they rivalled MGO and GT5 for slowness. Took about an hour each, but once done its great.
Strongly recommend
+1
Even without the online modes and tournaments, the offline modes are fantastic as well, in fact I have not even got into online play yet, and I've had the game for many months.
BTW: Sprite is our resident Everbody's Golf 5 (Hot Shots Golf 5) expert, and started a dedicated thread in case you might be interested.
