How's Windows Mobile?

I've been considering a new phone for a little while, now. The Touch Pro is on my shortlist along with an LG and a couple Samsungs.

Windows Mobile is great if you need the application connectivity. My phone is the lynchpin between home and work life for me. As a phone, it's almost inconsequential.

I traded in my PSP and a few misc odds and ends that i hgad for it (i never use it anymore just occasionally for music) and then i walked out of Game stop with these lovely 2 items

RE5, i couldnt decide if i wanted it for PS3 or 360, they said the 360 Looked better sooooo i got it.

I

Haven't seen this one before but it looks great...

I've seen that, and I'll just say that straight guys won't enjoy it as much, it involves lots of muscular bald guys.

I highly reccomend KA by Cirque Du Soleil:tup:

I like how they add "Beyond High Definition", because now 1080p has elevated to something beyond regular High Deifinition now?

It probably has to do with the fact that 720p is regularly referred to as "HD" and technically speaking it is, while 1080p has more than twice the resolution of 720p (2.1 MP vs .9 MP).

Sony Ericsson C905:

8.1MP camera woo! I know megapixels aren't everything but the photos from this thing are brilliant. It's also got all the usual gubbins for a modern phone.
RRP - £370
I paid - £80 (And yes, it is legitimate!)
Some photos I've taken so far with it, obviously resized!

As good quality pics as my digital cam.

Wait, not more birds, though I presume you have less problems with those?

I just realised those shots weren't even taken on the highest quality setting

It also appears that it comes with a 2gb memory card installed! That's a nice little touch.

I had to get II because of the drum solo, I then bought the latter as there is a fantasy sequence with Bonham in a fueller at the Pod with Moby Dick in the background...

and Objectified tickets (Gary Hustwit doc about industrial design)

Totally psyched about both shows. One is my favorite band that I'm seeing for the second time, the other is a flick from an amazing producer that should be good, as I can expect the room to be filled with interesting designer types.

Because of the flood, I decided to get out of town with the boys for a few days so my latest purchase is a hotel room for three days and waterpark passes for tomorrow.

We called to ask if they would let us bring our dog because of the flood, she asked the manager, he said yes and they gave us a $50 per night discount because of our circumstances. Nice to see not everyone is trying to profit off of the hardship of others.

Thank you very much Arrowwood Resort & Conference Center!

Nice one 👍 Although I'm not entirely convinced you picked the best place to escape from flooding...

Rest assured that I'm a few hours away from the real problems. And Lake Darling has no rivers that are setting records every hour. :)

Yeah, it's great to see the immense spontaneous volunteering to get things ready over there. I just hope the Army Engineers don't mess everything up upon arrival.

Not exactly my purchases, but rather purchases for me for my birthday:)

The Mrs. has been in LA visiting a friend who as it turns out is the wife of a developer for EA and invited my wife on a tour of their facility... she even got to see some upcoming games. However, as it pertains to this thread, as it turns out, they also have a company store inside their studio, and so my wife, bless her heart decided to surprise me with some EA games:

The shock came when she told me how much they cost:

That's right, every game they sell at their company store goes for a flat fee of just $20. 👍

If I had known this, I would have paid a visit to their Austin offices a long time ago! :D

For the wife, who's obsessed with shooting video of the children, but is disappointed that our Mini-DV system is too much effort to work with after the shoot:

It's a Sony HD-CX11E HD camcorder. The customer service in the Sony Centre was exceptional: they sat the children in front of a 50" plasma showing CBeebies, showed us all the "toys" in the store, and then helped us with the camcorder. We refused the display model, and when they took a week longer than promised to get our order in, they offered me the display model as a loaner. I think retail establishments are going to have to do this "going the extra mile" to sustain their businesses against online shops. Seriously, they were so good, I'm not too disappointed about paying more than the online price.
