Nice, I see your avatar changed to match.

So, will we be seeing a name change to Quattro soon?

Not sure. I've been here so long with this name, a change at this point would be odd. Besides, I still have the Bimmer. :)

... for now :indiff:

Here's my favorite part of the car:

The nice folks at Audi, already anticipating my driving into a ditch, have already installed my tow eye and painted it red so the winch operator can find it without any trouble. How thoughtful. I feel so Allan McNich.

^^ Yeah, I want some of that living too.

You're parting with the Z?! Why...?

BTW, that's a great purchase. Love that car despite not being a great fan of most recent Audis. Be sure to post a review afterwards. 👍

Good luck with it!

Just got back from The Bicycle Shoppe in Mt. Pleasant. Picked up an '09 Roubaix Triple Elite in gloss carbon silver for myself, a gloss white charcoal '09 Dolce Triple for my wife, and a pink/silver '09 Hotrock 16 for our daughter. Daughter's bike is still in the front seat of my car.

Now that we have roadbikes we can actually start doing tri-athalons instead of just marathons.

Hard to compete with the Audi, but I made my phone decision:

Actually Best Buy made it for me. Their weekly ad had it for $49.99 with a contract extension and no extra plan needed. So, now I have my phone plus organizer w/ QWERTY keyboard and my monthly bill hasn't changed.

I have a sneaking suspicion I will be getting an Internet plan before it is all said and done. I don't see the point, but I have a lot of useless stuff/services.

To make a long story short, I'm parting with Z4 M because I simply can't afford to keep the Z and the S4. I thought very hard about keeping the roadster and buying a cheap car to commute with. But ultimately, I decided that I spend way more time commuting and performing other mundane tasks in my primary car, so it made little sense to keep the Z4 in the garage 5-6 days out of 7 while I drove a POS daily.

It was a battle between my passionate and pragmatic sides; the pragmatic side won. As it does all too often. The Audi is a pretty good driver, though. Not an ///M, but almost as good.

Once the economy recovers and we get Mrs. ///M's car paid off, we'll probably get another roadster, though.

And another falls to VAG. Tragic, really.

Dudes, who gave Azure the VAG Hatorade?

Lucky ass.

Take a video of the engine note thanks. :)

I'll shoot a quick clip if someone will host it.

Thanks!

Haven't upload a vid in about a million years. Totally forgot how easy it was these days.... :dunce:

It's a bit windy today and the camera I'm using (belongs to the office) isn't exactly high quality; so the sound is not great. You can't even hear the burble at idle. But there it is.

The M Roady sounds better. Especially at redline. But I'd rather drive day in, day out in the S.

I don't care if I couldn't hear the burble, nor if the quality was great. It was still..

So I suppose that's the V8 and not the super-6? Sounds...like a GTO. Good, but kinda awkward on an import, know what I mean? Maybe you should try to find an exhaust that gives it a more upper-class, "euro" sound, or whatever, instead of the Appalachian American growl.

What are Audis supposed to sound like, anyway? Does Audi have a certain "sound"?

Been looking for a decent dock for my iPod for the past couple of weeks now. I'm never really in a situation where i'd use an iPod in the traditional way, ie with headphones so getting a decent dock was the logical choice. I originally wanted an all-in-one and was about to order myself a Klipsch iGroove HG, it had good reviews from most sources. Then i noticed, for only a little bit more cash, the Lars & Ivan BK-21 micro separates that also got great reviews and looked funky too. Unfortunately it was only available from their website and despite bombarding them with enquiries about it i never heard back from them :odd:

In the end i went for the Onkyo CS-325UK which is basically a micro system with a dedicated dock and was only a little bit more expensive than the other two and not really that much bigger, but had the added features of being a CD player and a DAB radio too.

I've only had a quick mess around with it so far, and not tried out the CD or radio functions at all, but the sound quality is fantastic for the money and surely better than the others would have been. 👍

Just out of interest, where did you buy it from?

We need a decent microsystem for the kitchen (apparently JVC don't make ones that last longer than 3 months anymore - who knew...), and I've been quite tempted by one of those TEAC ones with the NXT speakers, but this looks a little more substantial. Plus it doesn't have a hulking great subwoofer...

I got mine from Amazon. But i noticed the day after i placed the order that a local Currys has it for even less now it's discontinued. My local Richer Sounds had it even cheaper, but had sold out. if you have one near you it might be worth ringing them to see if they have any, it's an absolute steal at the price they were asking.

I got 4 of these

Love the wheels! They would look great on my Subie. :D

Don't know why I waited so long to get this but it's cool, if you're into the RE series. The first one on the PS-One was epic on all accounts and this game is true to the series.

Same, but replace Subie with Civic. :)

Despite the fact that my wife is ready to sell/trade it in and it isn't even paid for yet...

Really? That's a shame. For the record, gun metal black would look better on my car, but the style is where it's at. :)

Ah, gotta rush off to class right now, but I got my Griffin AirCurve yesterday and my TWM Performance M1 Abrams shift knob today. Will post some pictures in about 2 hours.
