In need of a new back-up film camera, got reccomended by the projectionist in my cinema of this camera, the Canon EOS 500. Only a tenner off eBay! 👍

Now to just find one cheap-ass lens for the sucker..

Yeah I remember that when I was building my first one. It was in the winter time and I had only a small shed. So I ended up working in a badly lit environment. Sometimes it was snowing lightly too. Cold fingers, but I kept on going. After many years of desktop racing I decided a proper racepod is worth it. And it still is.

The colorfull words come in when you f4c8 up measuring? Or broke a drill?

Mostly when I fork up a cut or measurement, or plan for it to be built one way only to realize that just wont work and have to wing it. Just so many angles to be cut. This thing it going to end up being like 150+pounds, it's very solid to say the least.

Last notable purchase was a Nikon D300s, a little over a week ago. Got it with the MB-D10 battery grip, the monster EN-EL4a battery (6000 shots or so on one charge!), and the BL3 battery plug that lets me use the EL4a.

Bought it because my trusty old D2X wasn't being so trusty anymore, and the repair would've been a quarter of the price of the D300s. I was already in the market for a new camera anyway, as the new generation of models offers such better performance that it's really raised the bar above what my D2X could do, and the combination of problems with the D2, the need for an upgrade, and the release of a brand-new model in just the price and performance range I was looking for sealed the deal.

Pictured here with my AF 24-85mm f/2.8-4 D, which is next on the list of lenses to replace. I'm finding myself needing something that stays at 2.8 through the whole zoom range, and this lens has a big scratch on the front element. (Not sure how that happened, I've had a filter on the lens since I bought it, and have only removed it for cleaning.) A nice side benefit of a newer lens is that it'd focus faster, and, depending which lens I go for, might be a bit lighter.

Oh! I take it back. Was thinking of the last thing I bought myself, not for other people. Just hours ago, I bought a Juicy Couture purse for my G/F's birthday.

Bit of an upgrade from my 8600GT! :D £100 too, so good value for that card.

Will be getting a new PSU soon as well, as my current one has no PCI-E converters, and lacks enough spare Molex's to use Molex-PCI-E converters.

Absolutely diabolical, I'm trading it in tomorrow. It's easily the worst of the series as it provides neither arcade fun or realistic racing. It just sits on the fence. Bouncing like mad.

Think I'm trading mine as well. Probably for Dirt 2.

1:18 model of the Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sportswagon from AutoArt. It is sitting on my own Impreza Sportswagon. Pitty though that is a 1.6 only.

What phone is that? What company is HTC? I don't think I've ever seen that.

HTC is a manufacteur of cellphones. You have no doubt seen some of their products at a T-mobile, Verizon, Sprint, or AT&T store. As for that exact model, it would look like it is the HTC Hero

Well, to start we had to get a land line put in due to my heart stuff, so we bought a new phone last night to go with it.

And Chevy was giving away Corvette Racing t-shirts for anyone that filled out a survey.

My entire Petit Le Mans Souvenir cost was $17 for two caps, a shirt, a canvas bag, some stationary, and a doll.

Why is Obama on that phone box ?

That little doll is pretty cool. If I have kids they are getting stuff like that.

I didn't even notice that until now.

She also has a braided ponytail coming out of the back. My friend bough the male for his two-year-old son and he has named it Peter Panoz and won't put it down.

Here is the picture from their online store:

EDIT:
From the people that bring you Turbocharged V10's
Considering the Jetta TDI Cup car averages 25mpg while racing (road car can get 58mpg) and the R8 TDI had to have its fuel tank size decreased to keep their fuel stops regular with everyone else... I actually think VAG are leading the green car push right now better than any gas hybrid maker.

I just downloaded three mp3s from Amazon - three of my favourite Goon Show episodes, for just 69p each! A total bargain, and I was delighted at finding them. Sadly, two of the files are badly corrupted with noisy glitches. Although they were dirt cheap, and still listenable, I am annoyed that they are so bad - I've never downloaded mp3s of such terrible quality... given that the sum total of files I've downloaded from Amazon is 4, and 2 of them are duds, that's not good going. iTunes, on the other hand, has been 100% perfect - over 100 downloads so far, and not a single error in any of them... add to that the fact that Amazon's downloader doesn't work, and I've had to email Amazon three times in order to get those 4 files, and then manually download them, I can safely report that Amazon's mp3 service is a farce. Still, I have complained about the files and hope to get another chance to download them, hopefully without the glitches this time...

I recently bought these to go with my recently bought Samsung 46"

Singstar Queens
I hope you mean Queen. If it is Queens that is likely a completely different game.

And having owned the game for about a month, I can say it is awesome. But none of us can ever pretend to be Freddie Mercury. Oh, and good luck with Bohemian Rhapsody.

Does singstar have an actual music GUI? Like, written music on a staff.

Oddly, i've stopped using iTunes for music downloads and have been using Amazon for the past 6 months without a single glitch. I dislike the iTunes store, much prefering the more familiar Amazon interface. Amazon always, unfortunately, have plenty of back-catalogue bargains to part me with my hard-earned too that iTunes never seem to 👍
