DJ Hero (Xbox 360)

I been a bit of a bedroom DJ for about 18 years and have both vinyl and midi deejay gear so thought this might be a laugh as I'm such a huge fan of the Guitar Hero series.

Well, probably not unsurprisingly it feels not even remotely like what you do when mixing using actual turntables and a mixer. I can't believe actual deejays were involved in the making of this as it's so much of a detached experience than it could have been, everything Guitar Hero was and isn't. While it is pretty entertaining most of the time there are many things I can think of that they could have done to make it feel more authentic and fun. The cheesy mash-up style of music is on the whole quite well produced but at no point does it really feel like you have two records going at the same time (although there is only one turntable so go figure) there are some really catchy tunes that probably have no right to be mixed together but will have you grinning.

So, while it has its moments it could have been a whole lot better. This is a very good review of it from the IGN Aussie crew, it's spot on! If you're thinking of buying this game you MUST read this review before you make up your mind.

Yeah it's a pretty smashing game Burnout Legends, reminds me a lot of Burnout 3 which has to be my favourite in the series :D

Rue, when I saw the buttons on the vinyl platter I thought this is bad, really bad.

Giving it a try. If I have to buy an equel amount of food to get enough nutrition after my daily swim workouts, I'd be out of money in days :lol:

Pre-Ordered COD6 (PC)

While I was in there, I couldn't resist the purchase of Dragon Age: Origins.

If you like RPG's you'll love it, but then again I don't think BioWare makes bad games.

Holy crap sorry for the big picture!

In the event you wish to avoid it in the future Imageshack will convert size for you when you upload. Or, my quick and easy favorite:

Open with -> Paint
Image -> Stretch/Skew
Width [50%]
Height [50%]
OK

Cute as can be, by the way. Just a warning, small dogs believe they own you.

Not mine. He just owns every other dog, including huge dogs.

Say hi to the new baby :D

iPhone 3G 16GB in Black. Very pleased so far. Unlocked it in a matter of no time and now it's running with my 3 SIM seamlessly. No £35/month contract for me ;) And it actually works properly with my car kit, which is more than can be said of the Nokia it replaces.

Meet Teh Lolcat :dopey:

That cat looks alot like our newest addition, except for the tail (ours is missing hers due to an accident before we found her), same patterns (the faces are fairly identical) and about the same age it looks?

From,
Chris.

Ours was a few weeks old by the time she wandered to us around August 23rd, so maybe about a month older than yours. Ours is incredibly sweet and playful aswell, and some funny chases between her and a slightly older grey cat, and the two inside dogs make for some funny moments.

Wish you and your cat well, if she's anything like ours she's a joy to have around.

From,
Chris.
