Bought this last night

Been lurking around alot, not posting anything for a long time. Anyway, here is my latest purchase.

2007 Yamaha R1. Only changes so far are the addition of Pilot Power tires, and removal of the catalytic convertors. Goes like hell, and handles just as good as my 600 did.

8GB Sandisk Sansa

Daft Punk and Massive Attack: 👍

I got this the other day:

8gb solid-state Samsung P2 mp3/video player. Totally smooth—no buttons except for 2 on each edge for Hold/Power and +/- volume.

did you get that off amazon?

its 198 if anyone is wondering, since its a direct competitor to the 8 gig touch

Very nice

Got it from Future Shop. :)

how do you like it? What's the software like? I was looking at that before.

I LOVE it. It's seriously an amazing mp3 player. So far, the software is flawless and touch is responsive and doesn't stick or do anything funny. The menus are very clean, and the icon-cycling as one of the forms of the GUI also works quite well. There are multiple GUI styles to choose from, so if you don't like one...there's a couple others.

Also, as of December '07 there's a new firmware upgrade out there that makes the touch work slightly better: adds more bluetooth support (I can now answer my phone with my mp3 player!), AAC support, wireless file transfer support (BT), aaand some other stuff. I can't remember it all.

Nice. What charger are you currently using for your nimh packs? Is it lipo compatible?
little late, yeah its the Mamba25 brushless motor. I would say it probably runs better not to mention longer with a LiPo. It drains the little tiny battery in it now which also puts out like 6 volts where a LiPo is some 12.6 volts which is double the power and double the speed....but 75 bucks for a battery pack then have to cut the chassis to make it fit....I dunno:crazy:

And because i was stupid and didnt fully read the question i will answer it now. I had to get an HPI connector because the connector on the battery pack is extremely small....then i had to buy another set of HPI connectors because the ESC needed a different one. It was a pain in the rump

Tools are cool

Tools are cool, but not as cool as appliances. I present to you, the new Advantium microwave. Actually has a heating coil for baking modes, plus halogen lights for speed cooling to compliment the standard microwave functions. :D

I normally don't get too excited about appliances, but this microwave is cool, oh and I had to get some new tools for the install. ;)

Personally, my latest purchase:

The most recently purchased item in my house however:
3b3e029b1663cf4a8bcf85bd1207a0d2.jpg

New home theatre system, to replace an aging (and rather bad quality) old one. Watched Transformers the other day, sounds great. :)

Very, very good sound quality. Great soundstage and a warm yet detailed sound. It's drag 'n drop, and I can browse my music by using a file tree. Only downside is the proprietary Sony cable (I'd prefer miniUSB), but it's pretty much perfect.

can you record on it? and do have you tried it out? the philips usually takes a fit with the bass at all the gigs i go to.

No, there's no recording, if I did record stuff I'd use my iRiver, as it had several options for it (line-in, ext. mic, db.gain etc.) but I hardly do record anything. I bought the Sony strictly for music. ;)

While it is, on occasion, louder than the new dog, at least it doesn't crap on my floor.

Sony A818 8GB player, to replace my dying iRiver H320...

I purchased one just before Christmas. The sounds quality is the best I've heard on any portable device.
