I bought this:

A masterpiece of game. Even more since it is for PS2. :)

I think that they are going to remake all of them pretty soon for the PS3.

Yes they will. They will remake MGS2, MGS3 and Peace Walker. MGS2, and 3 have stunning graphics for a PS2 game so in HD they will look just amazing. MGS3 will also have a remake for the Nintendo 3DS.

I believe it is supposed to launch in October.

MGS3 will also have a remake for the Nintendo 3DS.
So, since Nintendo-only guys will have never played MGS2 (to my knowledge) I wonder if it will still have the Raiden mask Easter Egg at the beginning of the game.

I need to contemplate a new camera before I go to Petit Le Mans and seeing everyone else buying them doesn't help.

Speaking of Petite Le Mans, I just got this:

Road Atlanta track map static cling.

I also got in a fresh supply of low sodium food stuffs.

The pizza kit, fajita seasoning, onion soup mix, and cheese puffs are samplings of new products. The bouillon packets are something I have been using for a while. Double the bouillon to water ratio and it tastes just fine. I buy a box of 50 about every 3-6 months. Beef lasts me 6 months to a year. Then the three packs of tortillas and the three jars of pickles are a monthly item.

It's going to be available on the 360 as well btw. MGS2 still has one of the best stories that I've ever seen in a game. 👍

On-topic: food...nothing fancy. French stuff. :(

With Boarders going out of business I figured I'd cash in on their 30% off everything in the store, plus I got like another 20% with my Boarders Rewards card.

Them shades still kicking around?
I remember wearing them in the early nineties.
If I looked hard enough there's probably a couple of pairs lying around my house somewhere.

Cheers Shaun.

Yea, they release limited/special editions each season now. They're exact remakes of the originals from the 80's and 90's... and if you don't want any of them, i'll gladly take them off your hands... or face in this case. :D

Damn you Steam and your sales! Good to know digital crack only cost $17.

Been thinking about buying this, i never really played any games like this but I tired Civilization Revolution and it was pretty fun.

The thing is, full Civ games on PC are nothing like Civ Rev. They sort of dumbed down Civ Rev to make it play faster and work better on a console. It's not uncommon for a normal Civ game to take 8-10-12 hours or more to finish depending on settings. In my opinion, I would start with Civ IV. I'm sure there's a demo out there you can try. Civ V is drastically different and quite demanding on a system so you'll need to make sure you can run it. I personally wasn't a fan of some of the changes they made. Some are fantastic while others ruined things for me.

It is very fun, since last night I played 6 hours and I'm still no where near a victory in any of the areas. As mentioned, games take a long ass time to play on Civ. I'm actually liking CivV more then I did CivIV but that's not to say CivIV wasn't epic in it's own right.

And yes CivRev takes a lot less time to play, however the basic concept in the the same overall. I actually had to get rid of CivRev because it was taking up all my free time .

Car guys Vs Bean Counters is a great read Joey.Nice purchase 👍

I aaaalmost bought a Galaxy S II, but blech, some outstanding phantom bill with the teleco is preventing us from recontracting, so I'm having to wait.

I hope you went to a store. I was looking things over online when they came out with the up to 40% off, and all they did was jack the prices up to normal then take the 40% off. Everything ended up being significantly more than it was like 36-48 hours ago.

My car needed tires, but I'm too broke to buy brand new tires.

So I went to the junkyard and scored a set of 215/45/17 Kumho Solus for $40.

From my trip to Lime Rock Park

Not really a purchase but I had to pay for the tickets to get the signatures.

Also before you complain about that cleanliness of my kicks, I use them and as a result they get worn.

I hope they don't mess up the MGS3 remake like they did with the PSX one (that was renamed The Twin Snakes), the audio and camera angles in cinematics were perfect and they ruined it.
If it comes good I'll buy a PS3 just for HD MGS3.

Yeah but the Twin Snakes was basically a total remake of MGS. They even added some of the movement and things that you could do in MGS2. I would think that MGS3 HD will just be more of a visual upgrade and made to work on the PS3.

11+-+1

The lens. The one on the camera. Canon 70-200mm F/4 L. Absolutely amazing lens for the money and weight I have to say.

Yup, went to the store. I don't really care for buying books online, which is making me sad that Boarders is going out of business. At least I still have Barnes & Noble.
