The lens. The one on the camera. Canon 70-200mm F/4 L. Absolutely amazing lens for the money and weight I have to say.

Great lens, but my dad decided to sell it off to get the 70-300mm F/4.5 L instead since we already have the 70-200mm F/2.8 (that he seems to have no qualms carrying around at all).

Got myself a tool set for working with small screws that are in laptops. Be great to have this thing around when I get another laptop to work on.

I could of gotten some craftsman tools but they don't have the small screwdrivers and most of the tools they sell are meant for regular sized screws that are used to mount stuff like power outlets and general home improvement. Not to mention I don't like the cheap ones at all. I've tried them once before but left me feeling like I'm dealing with crap. With this I've ordered I can take out even of the smallest screws or oddly configured laptop with Torx screws and Philips screws.

how much did that cost. I stuck here with a sony cyber-shot.:indiff:

I got the lens for $500, which was a good price. The body is the 5DmkII so you can figure that out...

 Saying Craftsman tools feel like crap. Oh my.

Nah. I was talking about the cheap ones(off brand 33 bit set for $10 with free shipping). Craftsman tools are good and I'd always steal a few screwdrivers from my dad's toolbox when I was working on a PC. I'm just at the point where I need to have my own set of screwdrivers that will be able to work on very small screws(Craftsman does not make many small Torx sizes).

Very nice.

It's one of those cases that I wish Nikon had something (modern) equivalent.

Well, the "old" Nikon lenses are quite ok'ish. Used a 40 year old 50mm/1.8 until a few weeks ago, for example. Also, there's an 80-200m/2.8 Nikkor but it's a bit more expensive than the lens Azuremen had bought. :)

Hope to see lots of photos from you soon btw, excellent lens and indeed a pretty sweet deal for 500$. :D

Definitely. I'm not implying that old Nikon is bad. It's much the opposite. And it's fantastic that one can use 40+ years F-Mount lenses in today's modern dSLRs.

BUT, in this particular focal length/aperture, Nikon's old 70-210 f/4 just doesn't cut it...

Too soft wide open and especially too damn slow.

Oh, I didn't take it like that - no worries. :)

But yeah, you're right - the f4 isn't really good, the f2.8 is pretty cool. But well, it's about 1200$. :(

But seeing that Nikon released some new versions of well known lenses (50mm 1.8, 40mm 2.8 etc.) recently there's hope that there'll be a new 70-200mm soon as well. :D

The problem with being 15 is that if I get a shirt like that, or 20% Cooler, I'd get so much crap from my friends because they've got too much pride :grumpy:

I don't know about anyone else but it seems like we have reached page 666? Now makes me wonder what is gonna be posted on this page.

Picked this up yesterday after a long search for the right one. My TL (in the garage) is now up for sale. Some would argue its a downgrade but its also sort of an "upgrade".

will this one be going lower than the TL or is this going to stay relatively stock?

And on an on topic note, my glasses should be here within the next few days. I'll try to post some pics when the get here.

Bought a new Kitchen Table and chairs, made from Jarrah wood. Pics to follow when it arrived.

Never been so pumped about a plank of wood arriving.

Gonna up my Photoshop skillz. First of a series, InDesign, Illustrator and After Effects are coming over the next month.

Oh and I bought about £120 worth of film developing gear for £50. Win.

Damn boy... That's a pretty baller list of bands. I'm pretty jealous.. How much was the ticket?

50€.

Far from cheap, to be honest, but I can't say no to all these bands and it would be more expensive to see them separately.

Oh, and the festival should have Nevermore as well, but they canceled/break-up... 👎

EDIT: Just noticed the page 666... The irony.

EDIT2:

That's awesome.

I'd love to do that. One day, when I have an extra bathroom at home, I'll develop my own (bw) film too.

Yeah but for two days of that its not bad though IMO. I went to buy tickets to see Metallica was more then that  so I passed.

Yeah, I don't think it's a bad price at all. You're seeing a lot of bands for your money. I saw Opeth at Sonisphere a couple of weeks back, they were pretty awesome to be fair.

Like Prosthetic says, I payed around that for Metallica when they last toured the UK. I payed about £40ish for Maiden last night too.
