Bought this 3D starter kit from Best Buy to go with my new 40" 3d Sony Bravia HDTV. I am going to check out the 3d for a little while then might start buying 3d movies.

I did some reading yesterday on various scotches and it is one that seemed to come up often. So I figured I needed to buy a bottle.

I am not much of a liquor drinker, but when I do, I prefer whisk(e)y.

That being said, I not really looking for anything in particular, other than something that is good to occasionally enjoy. Being that I am a relative newb to scotch, I did some reading and I now have a list of stuff to eventually sample. Glenmorangie just happened to be one on my list that slightly jumped out a bit more while I was reading. The lower price point of the Glenmorangie in comparison to the other on my list made it easier to start there. The bottle of Glenmorangie was just over half the price of the Johnnie Walker Green Label.

Oh good, you're already a whiskey/whisky drinker.

Well, as I'm sure you've read, there are many different types of scotches, with single malts, blends, other less common types, and regional differences. The two you mentioned are quite different, with the Glenmorangie being a single malt and the Johnnie Walker being a blended whisky. If you tend to like a lighter, sweeter stuff, try some Lowland and Highland scotches. Many consider Auchentoshan to be a "beginner" scotch, but whatever. If you want the really smokey, peaty stuff, try some Islay scotches.

If you haven't already, you should search for Ralfy on Youtube. He does a bunch of scotch whisky reviews (and a few other whiskys once in a while) and I think he does a fantastic job, with some of the later ones having a good amount of history/commentary.

I have definitely read through the entire process of whisk(e)y making and the differences in single and blended malts. Up until this point, I have not really sampled a single malt, so I am expecting something different with the Glenmorangie.

Just as a FYI, I am slowly making my way through the Johnnie Walker line. I finished a bottle of Black Label a few months--two, three, four . . . at the very least, two . . . I do not know for sure though, all of the days/weeks/months run together it seems--ago. I bought a bottle of Double Black some time in there and have nearly finished it. So, next in line was Green Label. I am not sure I am going to take out a loan when the next in line is Blue Label.

I also bought a bottle of Jameson 12 Year at the same time as the Double Black, but have yet to open it. I further have a bottle of Jameson that I believe I bought at the same time of the Black Label, but have also yet to open.

I will get to all of them eventually; I tend to go for beer first when I want alcohol.

Has anyone out there bought Formula 1 replica helmets? And I'm not referring to those 1:2 scale helmets. No, I mean the real deal ones that you can even wear in competition (If you so dare). I was thinking about getting one for myself, but I noticed many buyers on the internet complained about there helmet being "fake". Apparently, some companies buy one helmet and then use molds of that helmet to produce more. The end product looks quite similar to the real ones, but if you fell off your bike and onto your head with one on, you'd certainly die due to the fact that the molds are not safe in any way.

Anyway, as I asked before, has anyone bought one of these before?

Bought this book today:

In English they are tissues but in other languages idk. And Kleenex is the brand....I say Kleenex instead of tissue.
