Hero 3??? Awww come on! The day I got my HD Hero at release feels like yesterday.. And it's for the same price too.. :dunce: Still works great. It recently had frequent falls from I think 20meters in to hard sand and not even a scratch

Haha Yes. Hero 3. I actually got mine for $187.99 I think. I got a discount I didn't even know about. lol I can't wait to start making videos. I have to get a micro sd card tomorrow though. & that's good to hear its tough. I hope I don't treat it like my phone, I've dropped my phone so many times. lol

Breaking the camera trend with this.

Genius HS-G500V Headset

Great improvement over my previous cheap headphones.
The headset is very comfortable ad the go around your ears rather than on.
I have checked how it works with and without the vibration and the vibration helps to give a 'fuller' sound. I also love how I can feel every kick of the bass drum in music.
I have also tried the microphone and it seems to work quite well and the sound is clear.
Overall very good for the price.

Edit: Just tried turning it up all the way and the bass is eargasmic! :dopey:
Also, I was considering buying a xonar dgx sound card, does anyone know whether there would be any point over onboard?

Xonar DGX has a decent built-in headphone amp so you should get most out of your headset and improve the overall sound.

We have a Xonar DG in our living room's computer and it's way better than the on-board soundchip, which made the sound go distorted and died shortly after.

Some CD's (sorry no pics)

That battlecruiser plan is fantastic. I really enjoy seeing hand-drawn draughts, many are a work of art in themselves (draughtsmen of old, please forgive me for refering to something engineering-related as 'art').

Are you going to frame it and mount in on a wall? I would like something similar to fill the empty wallspace above my livingroom mantlepiece.

Haven't posted here for a while. Bought a lot of stuff recently, here they are:

At work I have some plans of buildings on campus from the early '20's. while they don't contain nearly as much information in the form of details as newer plans, they are absolutely gorgeous to look at. 👍

Dude, that is awesome. Which battlecruiser? Did you get it off fleabay?

It's the famous HMS Hood. I'm assuming the plans are from before they were changed due to the lessons learned from the disaster at the Battle of Jutland. The close-up that Holden posted shows one of the ammunition magazines that could have been hit by a shell from either the Bismarck or Prinz Eugen, causing the catastrophic explosion that sank Hood and killed the majority of her crew. Pretty fascinating.

A few years ago I was shown a leather-bound book of hand-drawn draughts from around 1918 for a Fowler traction engine, much like you'd expect from a modern car workshop guide for working on your car.

Every component from every area of the engine had its own seperate drawings with dimensions, annotations, and even maintenance tips, including some charming spelling mistakes (I guess that particular draughtsman came from humble origins). It was so special to see a collection of drawings that the draughtsman (or men) had put every ounce of his talent, knowledge and pride into creating.

I've been looking at YouTube vids of this game for about two weeks now, saw they had a Christmas sale, and decided to purchase it.

@ Matty, that game is actually fun. I've watch the vids too and watched the guy who played it make missions to save other Kerbal dudes from previous failed missions.
