About that bike, did you know that "peloton" is finnish and it means "fearless"?

I had a rather rough day today, actually all week has been pretty rough. I figured I'd channel my inner Dion (Small_Fryz) and purchase two bottles of rum. Both are from New Holland (Holland, MI) and ones Huron White and the other is Michigan Amber. I've had the Michigan Amber in the past and it's quite good (I actually made a drink with it prior to the photo). I also channeled my inner Wisconsinite and picked up the newly released Leinenkugel Canoe Paddler Kölsch-style beer.

And yes, drinking makes me feel better.

I don't drink much anymore, so the cookies and K-cups are getting my attention...

My mom FedEx'ed me three containers of homemade cookies because she's awesome. And the K-cups? I have hundreds of them, whenever Meijer is having a sale I go a little overboard.

There's a Chinese Red Bull in the photo too

Must be the time for it.
Picked this up today.

Cheers Shaun.

 Welcome to the club. :D

EDIT: Double 8 set, 16 speed?

Still on the theme of bikes I grabbed 4 of these today for my tour as I guy I met went through 8 on the same trip last year but was a novice, so....I got half as many.

I don't get having a wateproof mouse pad.

I'm sorry, but if there's water on my mousepad the mousepad is literally the last thing I'd think about.

It was cheap and exactly the same size as my current plastic mousepad. I wasn't deliberately looking for a waterproof mousepad but it's a neat feature. I'm expecting it to be very durable. :)

Just pre-order the Steelbook edition of Skyfall off Amazon UK. Because they were sold out, I had to refresh the webpage constantly for about 3.5 hours if one popped-up due to a cancellation. Totally worth it, as I now get it over a month before its release in OZ. :dopey: 👍

And the steelbox has the DB5 on the cover.

Awesome colour scheme is awesome.

56" frame? Could even be a 53", that frame looks tiny. Sweet bike though 👍

The picture isn't mine but I think the bike shown is a 50". Mine is a 53" (i'm 5'9") but Cube bikes all have tiny little frames - a proper bike frame size you might say. You 6'+ people trying to ride road bikes, stop being so silly! Although I suppose 220lbs isn't the optimum weight for a roadie either...

Nice one Shaun 👍 Looks pretty schmick 👍

Yeah got it off a guy who bought last year for $1200. Rode it twice and decided he didn't like cycling.
I even had to remove the protective plastic from the cranks an bits and pieces.
Picked it up for $450.

Cheers Shaun.

About half of the Tour de France peloton consists of 180lb riders :P

I'm quite a lot heavier (think 40 or 50lbs) than riders of a similar height. Of course there are tall riders who are heavy due to the nature of being taller, but even they don't have quite the aerodynamic disadvantage that I do... :guilty:

We all have to start somewhere, brother. I've been there myself. I weighed 95kg when I was 15, started cycling and went down to 80kg. Been hovering between 80-85kg ever since for 7 years now.

I've never experienced a weight change from cycling, well, never a loss. I have gone up just past 70kg on a good week of riding but probably because when I ride hard it's the only time I eat well.

Got it off of ebay and my phone is going to replace my GPS as the maps are outdated. I'll just give my GPS to a friend as I'm pretty sure he can make use of it.

Between Google Maps and Waze I always get there on time.
